It looks good. I am just not sure about the behavior when the installation fails. You are most probably going to boot into a system that might not work.

If the installation failed, I would rather prefer to print a message and exit.

Problem
inst.auto parameter does not work due to calls to old API.
Solution
Adapt it and also also proper waiting as HTTP calls do not wait unlike DBuS ones.
