All NAPI packages now use `--profile coverage` for `build-test`. Previously, `napi/parser` used coverage while the other 4 used dev, causing complete cache invalidation between builds since Cargo fingerprints include the profile. build-testscripts now use--profile coverage, matching whatnapi/parseralready used.napi/parserused--profile coveragewhilenapi/minify,napi/transform,apps/oxfmt, andapps/oxlintused the defaultdevprofile.Why this matters
pnpm run build-testruns 5 sequentialnapi buildinvocations (--workspace-concurrency=1). Each callscargo buildindependently. Cargo's fingerprint system includes the profile — so artifacts compiled with one profile cannot be reused by another.Before: The first package (minify) compiles all shared deps in
devprofile. Then parser usescoverageprofile, which writes to a completely separate target directory (target/coverage/vstarget/debug/). Zero cache sharing between them. Subsequentdevpackages reuse minify's cache but not parser's.After: All packages use
coverageprofile. The first package compiles shared deps once intarget/coverage/, and all subsequent packages reuse those artifacts incrementally.From CI build logs, parser's
coverageprofile build took 27s (full recompile) vs ~5s if it could have reused the previous build's artifacts. Estimated savings: ~15-20s on the Test NAPI critical path.
