Opening

  • Welcome, adoption of 2023-04-06-TT-WIGOSMD (5')
  • Secretariat updates (Anna)
    • FT2023-1 schedule
      • April 28 NFP review complete --> WMO approvals --> release and publication by 31 May 2023 at the latest
    • FT2023-2 schedule (intended)
      • July 1* - Validate and finalize all proposals
        • 2-week window to prepare amendments
      • July 15 - submit amendments for endorsement and review
        • 2-month window for FP review
      • Sept 15 - final FP approval
        • 1.5-month window for final WMO adoption and publication
      • Nov 1 - operational date
    • Internal (WMO) discussions about the fact that fast-track should not be used for changes to codes or WMDR that are major or have an operational impact. When this is the case, we need to introduce these changes through the 'standard procedure'.
