makes sense to me. Curious how the next run fixed itself. ah, I guess it's because the python deps got updated by all the other tests? |

Yeah, that's my guess. This would only occur if the unit test suite ran on a newly created worker in Jenkins. I merged something today that moved the doc and i18n suites before the unit test suites, which is why this didn't get caught sooner :( |

We need to update Python dependencies before running the doc or i18n tests. I believe this was the root cause of the failure here: https://jenkins.testeng.edx.org/job/edx-all-tests-auto-master/SHARD=1,TEST_SUITE=unit/956/console
