test(web): chat markdown and timeline tests run in a real browser

The ChatMarkdown and MessagesTimeline tests ran under jsdom with react-test-renderer and renderToStaticMarkup. They poked props such as onClick/onContextMenu directly, stubbed window/document, replaced LegendList with a fake, and mostly asserted class names. MessagesTimeline's jsdom setup alone needed a 120s budget. They now run in headless Chromium with the real app plugins (React Compiler on). Each test renders only what it needs and is driven through the DOM the way a user would use it.

Totals: 4 jsdom files removed; 4 browser files added (140 tests, about 10s per file); 1 new node logic file plus additions to an existing one (168 node tests in those two files). No jsdom pragma, react-test-renderer or reactHookHarness usage is left in this group.

Per file

components/ChatMarkdown.test.tsx: converted to ChatMarkdown.browser.test.tsx. Pure helpers were split into the new node file ChatMarkdown.logic.test.ts.

• Behaviour tests now render into the DOM and assert what the user sees: text, links, headings and aria-level, the file chip's File options for … / href, and the run/wrap/copy buttons. They click real buttons, details summaries and task checkboxes. Covered: bare-anchor placeholders, context references, favicon privacy, streaming highlight reuse, task edits, skill chips, Codex citations, follow-ups, artifact templates (now clicks Use template and checks the callback), heading ids, Windows file links, in-page TOC links, and thread find.
• Thread find now uses the browser's real CSS.highlights / Highlight and requestAnimationFrame instead of stubs.
• Server-config atoms still come from a real AtomRegistry over a mocked configValueAtom (the perf(web): markdown replies no longer re-render on reconnects and config pushes #20852 approach). Every vi.mock is built from the original module.
• canUseMarkdownFileShellActions and shouldUseMarkdownFileBrowserPrimaryAction kept in node: they are real branching logic.
• hasMarkdownFilePrimaryAction test deleted: it is a four-way OR. The test was its only outside user, so export was dropped for knip.
• Deleted class-name-only assertions: select-text, chat-markdown-file-link string matching, data-artifact-kind / data-skill-name attributes, and raw <h1 id=… aria-level=…> HTML. The behaviour behind them is still checked through text, labels and hrefs.

components/ChatMarkdown.assets.test.tsx: converted to ChatMarkdown.assets.browser.test.tsx. Clicks the real media link and checks that the server-minted host URL reaches onImageExpand.

components/ChatMarkdown.permissions.test.tsx: converted to ChatMarkdown.permissions.browser.test.tsx.

• Dispatches a real contextmenu event and clicks the real link.
• Uses the real rightPanelStore (via setState) and the real clipboard hook (spy on navigator.clipboard.writeText).
• The scope-revocation cases are unchanged.

components/chat/MessagesTimeline.test.tsx: converted to MessagesTimeline.browser.test.tsx. The real LegendList, tooltip and diff components are used; no mocked logic module and no window/document stubs. Converted cases:

• Tool rows expand and collapse through their headers.
• Questions, reasoning previews (7 cases), work-log summaries with failure labelling, changed-file paths, and T3 MCP tool names.
• User and assistant HTML/XML safety: checks the text and that no script / img / on* / javascript: nodes exist, and that no XSS global was set.
• Long-message collapse and copy, agent attribution, steer marker, terminal/element/review-comment chips, and superseded attempts (now expanded by clicking).
• Fork action (click calls onForkFromRun), and changed files (click Open diff calls onOpenTurnDiff).
• Attachments (PDF preview/download, no premature download URL, optimistic files, unknown types, SnapShot details).
• History controls (click Load earlier turns), the parent-thread link (click), created-thread rows (click), interruption requests, context handoffs with a RegistryProvider for provider names, and subagent rows (12 cases; clicks the group and the child).

Also new or reworked in the browser:

• Tooltip scroll dismissal: real userEvent.hover and Tab focus, then a real scroll. Hovered tooltips close; focused tooltips, tooltips outside the timeline, and wheel events that don't scroll stay open. Covers the plain tooltip and PullRequestLinkPreview.
• Reading position: scrolling a real overflowing list away from the end and closing the chat stores atEnd: false with the real scroll offset.
• Composer restore: closing tool output brings the composer back only when the timeline is at the end.
• Send anchor: onAnchorReady fires for the newest sent message and not for a follow-up.

Moved to node (MessagesTimeline.logic.test.ts): the re-arm band (resolveTimelineIsAtEnd) and minimap geometry helpers. These were pure functions sitting inside the jsdom file.

Deleted (static markup or wiring into the fake LegendList):

• The data-anchor-* / data-maintain-scroll-at-end* / data-maintain-visible-content-position* attributes on the mocked list. That covered "keeps reserved end space while reading history", "hands end-following back…", and "anchors a sent attachment…", apart from its onAnchorReady part, which was kept.
• Class strings: h-3 sm:h-4, topbar-scroll-fade, sticky top-2 z-10, pb-1.5, rounded-2xl bg-message p-3, text-destructive, and the lucide-* icon classes.
• The viewBox of the T3 logo.
• data-v2-item-type / data-v2-item-visibility attribute checks. The "inherited provenance" test only asserted an attribute and a summary that other tests already cover.
• The "keeps the end in view when tool output toggles" case. It only checked a fake viewport's scrollTop arithmetic through onItemSizeChanged. The real end-pinning path is covered by the composer-restore test.
• The "held timeline keeps following intent" and "first send held near the top" cases. Both depended on a faked getState() geometry that has no real-DOM equivalent without a full ChatView.

Bugs found

None. App code changed only to drop the now-unused export on hasMarkdownFilePrimaryAction.

Left undone

• The two remembered-position edge cases above (held paintOnly timeline, anchored first send) are not covered after this change. Covering them properly needs a ChatView-level browser test.
• Running these tests in the browser logs harmless noise from the real environment bootstrap (Could not discover the primary environment, useRouter must be used inside a <RouterProvider> from MarkdownThreadLink). The tests pass and the noise was left alone.

Checks: vp test run --project browser on the 4 browser files (140 passed; MessagesTimeline run 3x, stable), vp test run --project unit on the 2 logic files, scoped vp lint, and the apps/web typecheck.
