Provider approval prompts and titles apps/server/src/orchestration-v2/Adapters/*, packages/provider-opencode/src/server/*, packages/provider-pi/src/server/* |
Provider adapters build prompts and optional titles from command, reason, permission, or network data. OpenCode can update a pending shell approval when command input arrives later. Tests cover adapter output, including delayed command data and long bash commands. |
Pending approval state and command formatting packages/client-runtime/src/state/threadRequests*, packages/client-runtime/src/work-log/* |
Pending approvals retain titles and use shared request-kind labels. Command display formatting unwraps supported shell wrappers. Approval requests do not resolve a tool name from their free-text label. Tests cover derived approval state and command formatting. |
Approval detail rendering apps/mobile/src/features/threads/PendingApprovalCard.tsx, apps/web/src/components/chat/ComposerPendingApprovalPanel.tsx, apps/web/src/components/chat/ComposerPendingApprovalActions.browser.test.tsx, apps/web/src/session-logic.ts |
Mobile and web views display titles when no app name is available and format command details. The browser test checks scrolling and action visibility for long explanations. |

-
The approval display changes have no established merge-blocking regression. The previously flagged warning styling and non-resumable display behavior were already present before this PR.
Security architecture risk:
Low · up to 9315a
-
The change improves command visibility without adding authorization actions. No introduced approval bypass was established. Limited uncertainty remains about whether late command updates can replace information already presented for an unanswered approval.
Retained concerns
No architecture-level concerns identified.Security review details

Security Blast Radius
- observed — The affected boundary is human authorization of provider-requested operations, including command execution and Codex network-host access. OpenCode 2 continues to answer the original native permission using its stored session and request IDs; displayed text is not substituted into that reply.
Trust Boundaries and Controls
- observed — Provider-supplied command details and explanations are rendered as text children in the inspected web and mobile approval components. The new display path does not interpret those fields as HTML or execute them.
- observed — OpenCode 2 marks a request as answering before provider delivery and rejects another response for an answering entry. The late-command update path respects that barrier. Delivery uses stored native identity, then forgets the request and abandons work if delivery failed.
Resilience and Maintainability Implications
- observed — Permission-reply reconciliation looks up native request ID without also comparing session ID. The same lookup exists at the PR base, so the unresolved upstream ID-uniqueness assumption is pre-existing rather than an established regression from this change.
Hardening Proposals
- proposed — Define which command source is authoritative throughout a permission's lifetime. If tool-input fallback is intended to become authoritative once displayed, preserve that fact so conflicting later input cannot relabel the same unanswered approval. Conflicting upstream input was not established as reachable in this review.

Explanation
Issue
#20146requires approval prompts to show enough detail for a safe decision, preferably the exact command.ClaudeAdapterV2now uses the tool input command, cmd, orscriptas the approval prompt and keeps the callback title or description as the title. The web approval panel displays the command detail separately from the explanation. Claude adapter tests verify the command and title. This implements the linked issue requirement.
Full details: Title check
-
Explanation
The title "fix(claude): command approvals show the command, not Claude's description of it" names the primary change. The PR makes the Claude adapter use the tool input's command as the approval prompt, with the description moved to the title. The title is specific and scoped to the Claude adapter. It does not mention the wider changes to Codex, OpenCode, Pi, and the shared UI, so it is only partially broad. It is still a clear and accurate summary of the main fix.

Explanation
Issue
#20146covers the desktop Claude approval flow. The pull request also changes mobile approval rendering and provider-specific behavior for Codex, OpenCode, and Pi. The linked issue does not define requirements for those platforms or providers. The shared approval projection and web changes support the linked flow, but these additional provider and mobile changes are not established as required by#20146.Resolution
Limit this pull request to the desktop Claude flow and shared code required by that flow. Move the mobile, Codex, OpenCode, and Pi changes to separately linked issues, or link active issues that define their requirements.
Full details: Description check
-
Explanation
The description explains the core Claude approval problem, links the issue, includes before/after screenshots, and reports focused verification. It does not follow the required template headings. It also does not document the broader Codex, OpenCode, Pi, network-approval, mobile, and command-formatting changes shown in the pull request, and it does not provide explicit maintainer approval or a clear exemption under Scope and approval.
Resolution
Rewrite the description using the required Problem, Change, Scope and approval, and Verification sections. Describe the full cross-provider and client-side scope. Link the triaged issue and explicit maintainer approval, or explain why this focused fix qualifies for an exemption. Include the complete focused test results and clearly state unverified platforms, providers, and environments. Retain the before/after evidence and identify the model and harness used.

stress test it with a large command too pls. we've had cases before where weird overflow or truncation causing it not to be readable either

Note Written by Good call. I stress tested it in a dev build with a long Codex command (a curl loop over six hosts with long headers, about 400 characters, escalated with a reason). Before, the card showed one line cut off at the Decline button, and the rest only scrolled sideways. The command now wraps, the card shows up to 8 lines, and anything longer scrolls vertically. There's no sideways scrolling at any width. The reason stays a single truncated line next to the label. Scrolling the card to the bottom shows the end of the command ( |

Dismissing at Maria's request. The requested large-command stress test was done and posted in this thread: a real Claude approval for a 3,049-character command ending in a 400-character unbroken token shows the complete command, wraps with no horizontal overflow, and scrolls inside its box.
Merges upstream `pingdotgg/t3code` `fe219c4de1` (95 commits, base `49a9e80e0b`) into the fork. Branched from `main`; no open merge PR to stack on. ## Resolution 15 conflicts, each resolved by the verdict `preflight.mjs` printed for it. The full record is in `docs/fork/upstream-merge-log.md` (2026-10-29). The main points: - **`LegacySidebar.tsx` deleted upstream** (pingdotgg#21039). The deletion is taken. Its fork deltas (touch long-press, Add project gate) already live in `Sidebar.tsx` / `SidebarThreadRow.tsx`. The file's paths are removed from three inventory entries, and the helper only it used is dropped from `Sidebar.logic.ts`. - **Composer access mode.** Upstream's simpler composer (pingdotgg#25869) shows the Access control in three places: the Permissions chip, the compact-menu section, and the effort-menu section in `ComposerControlsBar.tsx`. All three are gated on `FEATURES.accessMode`. `ComposerControlsBar.tsx` is added to `chat-composer-gates`. - **Sidebar.** Upstream's boring-sidebar project folders are combined with the fork's browse/closed/subtask filter. Upstream moved the row's meta line into a `metaLine` variable, and the fork's owner name and parent/child task links now live inside it. - **Settings.** The boring-sidebar Labs rows are client settings and are not gated. Simlock hosts join the `serverBehaviorSettings` rows, and the `simlock-hosts` search id is mapped to that flag. The new Fallback model row is hidden together with the default model row (`defaultModelSetting`). - **`AGENTS.md`.** Upstream now has agents check user-visible changes in a real client without asking first. The fork's version says the same, still pointing at the fork's skills. - `agentContextBudget.json` uses upstream's numbers, plus the fork's 108 bytes for `ProjectScript.port`. The value `46015` was measured by running the budget test. - `pnpm-lock.yaml` was re-derived from upstream's copy. **Merge stats:** 595 files landed vs 593 in the upstream range (the gap is explained in the tracker entry). Fork delta: 766 files, unchanged. ## Verification `verify.mjs` was run in full. These checks pass: duplicate-adds, tripwires, resolution-check, unsupported-methods, lockfile, fmt, lint, typecheck, build. In the test step, `web` and `client-runtime` pass. The same failures as the 2026-10-27 and 2026-10-28 merges remain, each confirmed failing alone: - `t3`: `RepositoryIdentityResolver`, `GitVcsDriver`, `CodexChatGptAuth`, `CodexManagedRuntime` (the known `/tmp` sticky-bit gap) - `provider-opencode`: `OpenCodeServerLedger` ## Usable as-is - Boring sidebar project folders, two-line folder rows, and hiding empty projects (pingdotgg#21039, pingdotgg#26387, pingdotgg#26391, pingdotgg#26463) - Simpler composer with grouped controls and effort words (pingdotgg#25869). The access-mode parts stay gated. - Pending approvals on their timeline row (pingdotgg#26255); tool call diffs open in the diff panel (pingdotgg#26304); compaction row timer (3ef1610) - Many web fixes: chat tables, inline code double-click, numbered composer lists, image chips, scroll-to-end, tool groups after a usage-limit pause, long-thread timeline perf (pingdotgg#26727) - New Claude threads default to Opus 5.5 (pingdotgg#26358) - PR files: mark viewed with shift-click, and the diff follows the file tree (pingdotgg#26349, pingdotgg#26730). These are reachable only where the PR surface is (`pullRequestSurface`). ## Unsupported in Moatless / needs implementation - **GitHub sign-in through the T3 Code for GitHub app** (pingdotgg#26245): `sourceControl.signInStart`, `signInWait`, `signInCancel`, `appAccess`. New `UnsupportedMethodError` entries. - **Simlock device pools** (pingdotgg#25259, pingdotgg#26706): `device.simlockIdentity` (new union entry) and the `simlockDeviceHostsEnabled` server setting. Part of the device hub gap. - **Fallback model when the default provider is out of usage** (pingdotgg#26164): the `fallbackModelSelection` server setting cannot be saved, because `server.updateSettings` is refused. The row is hidden. - Managing GitHub maintainer edits (pingdotgg#25588): in the pull-request write family Moatless does not dispatch. - T3 Connect tunnel usage and T3 Chat account push (pingdotgg#26369, pingdotgg#25931): relay/cloud, decided out. - Mobile dynamic workflows in the Agents sheet (pingdotgg#18642) and the mobile app fixes: mobile against Moatless is unverified. ## Backend behavior to consider reproducing in Moatless These are listed under _Runtime fixes upstream made to its own server_ in `docs/fork/gaps.md`: - Falling back to another provider when the default is out of usage (pingdotgg#26164), and refreshing usage when a turn hits its limit (pingdotgg#26234); no replay of stale Codex usage limits (pingdotgg#26331) - Settling a thread at once when its watched PR merges (pingdotgg#26395). Moatless reads no PR for settlement today, so this is a decision rather than a fix. - Loading long thread history in bounded pages (pingdotgg#26240); publishing local git status before the remote lookup (pingdotgg#21046); releasing completed PR sweep data (pingdotgg#25177) - Thread links that outside MCP clients can open (pingdotgg#26642); listing snoozed threads across projects in one MCP call (pingdotgg#26442) - Provider approval and subagent fixes: Claude command approvals (pingdotgg#20145), ACP ID-only approvals (pingdotgg#26647), Cursor subagents (pingdotgg#26592), OpenCode subagent runtime mode (pingdotgg#26302), Codex shadow-home locks (c4606e5); shorter remote reconnect and command delays (pingdotgg#25754) ## After merging - Disable the new upstream workflow: `gh workflow disable mobile-fingerprint-label.yml --repo soaplabs/t3code` 🤖 Generated with [Claude Code](https://claude.com/claude-code) --- Moatless task: https://moatless.soaplabstest.com/tasks/b2df0ac3-40ce-4c78-a67d-b561b3d8772d

Fixes https://git.cafe/pingdotgg/t3code/issues/20146. With Claude in Supervised or Auto-accept edits mode, a Bash approval showed only the model's one-line description of the command (for example "Write the triage marker"), so you approved without seeing what would run.
The Claude adapter now uses the tool input's
commandas the approval prompt, and falls back to Claude's title, description, or decision reason only when there is no command. The client already renders the prompt in a scrollable, wrapping code block, so long commands stay readable without UI changes. Other providers already send the command. Before (main, from the https://git.cafe/pingdotgg/t3code/issues/20146 triage on 8acbefe): the approval shows only the description.
After (this branch, real Claude Opus 5.5 turn in Supervised mode): the approval shows the exact command.
Long command, as requested in review: a real Claude Opus 5.5 approval for a 3,049-character command that ends in a 400-character unbroken token. This run used this branch on top of #26255, which shows approvals inline in the timeline. The whole command is the approval detail. It wraps with no horizontal overflow and scrolls inside its box, and approving it wrote the expected 2,968-byte file.
The existing "Auto-accept edits" adapter test now passes a description and asserts the approval prompt is the command; it fails on main.
vp run check:changedpasses. Mobile and desktop render the same prompt field and were not exercised separately.Claude Opus 5.5 via Claude Code in T3 Code.
