fix(web): double-click selects the whole inline code span - #26639
Double-clicking an inline code pill like migration-gate only selected migration. The browser stops word selection at the hyphen, so copying a command or flag took a careful drag.
Now a double-click on inline code in chat markdown selects the whole pill. Single click, drag to select part of a pill, triple click, plain words, and fenced code blocks keep their normal behavior.
Before
After
Plain word double-click (unchanged)
Drag partial selection (unchanged)
Proof: a browser test that fails on main (selects gate) and passes now, plus a manual check in a dev server with a Replay thread (screenshots above).

Macroscope's review found this PR approvable — Double-clicking ordinary inline code now selects the entire span, including punctuation. The change is limited to transient browser selection and leaves file-link chips, math, and fenced code rendering unchanged.

Walkthrough
Double-clicking non-file-link inline code now selects the full code span. The browser test verifies that double-clicking fenced code selects only the word under the click.

Non-file-link inline code invokes a double-click handler that selects its children. A browser test checks selection for inline and fenced code.

Explanation
The title "fix(web): double-click selects the whole inline code span" matches the main change. The raw summary and objectives show a new selectInlineCode handler on inline code in ChatMarkdown.tsx, plus a browser test. The title follows conventional commit form and names the user-visible behavior, so it is specific and not vague.
Full details: Description check
Explanation
The description follows the template well. It states the problem (double-click on hyphenated inline code selects only one word) with a concrete example, and it explains the change (double-click selects the whole inline code pill in chat markdown, with other behaviors unchanged). It gives verification: a browser test that fails on main and passes with the change, a manual dev-server check, and before/after screenshots. It names the model and harness used. The Scope and approval section is missing. It does not link a triaged bug issue or maintainer discussion, and it does not explain why the fix qualifies without one. The template asks for this explicitly.
Resolution
Add a Scope and approval section. Link the triaged bug issue or the discussion with explicit maintainer approval of the direction and scope, including the approval comment. If no prior issue exists, explain why this small, focused fix of an obvious bug qualifies without one.
