test/leaksan.supp— nit: the LeakSanitizer suppressionleak:Bun__canonicalizeIPin test/leaksan.supp:98 now matches no frame, because this PR deletes that symbol (src/runtime/dns_jsc/cares_jsc.rs now exports the generatedBun::Bindgen::Generated::CaresJsc::jsCanonicalizeIPinstead). If the leak it was added for still occurs undercanonicalizeIP, the tests that spawn withLSAN_OPTIONS=suppressions=.../leaksan.suppreport it again. Fix: rename or drop the entry so it names a frame that still exists on the canonicalizeIP path (for example the Rustcanonicalize_ipor the generatedjsCanonicalizeIP). [also at: src/runtime/dns_jsc/cares_jsc.rs:853 - nit: the LeakSanitizer suppressionleak:Bun__canonicalizeIPin test/leaksan.supp:98 no longer matches anything, since the C symbol is gone and the body is nowcanonicalize_ip(src/runtime/dns_jsc/cares_jsc.rs:853) behind a generated thunk.; src/runtime/dns_jsc/cares_jsc.bind.ts:5 - ASan CI lanes that exercise canonicalizeIP can start reporting a leak that was suppressed by symbol name until this change. test/leaksan.supp:98 still listsleak:Bun__canonicalizeIP, but that exported symbol is gone: the host function is now the generated…]Why this was flagged
The suppression file is read by tests that set
LSAN_OPTIONS=...suppressions=test/leaksan.supp(test/js/bun/dns/resolve-dns.test.ts:213, test/js/bun/http/serve-body-leak.test.ts:250 and others) and by thetestleakscript in package.json:62. The entry at test/leaksan.supp:98 was added to hide a leak whose stack contained theBun__canonicalizeIPhost-function shim. This PR removes#[bun_jsc::host_fn(export = "Bun__canonicalizeIP")]from src/runtime/dns_jsc/cares_jsc.rs and theBUN_DECLARE_HOST_FUNCTION(Bun__canonicalizeIP)from src/jsc/bindings/NodeTLS.h, replacing them with the bindgen function declared in src/runtime/dns_jsc/cares_jsc.bind.ts:5, whose C++ host function isBun::Bindgen::Generated::CaresJsc::jsCanonicalizeIP. A repo-wide grep forBun__canonicalizeIPfinds only the suppression line. If the suppressed leak is still present, an ASan run of a test that reachescanonicalizeIP(node:tls checkServerIdentity path via src/js/node/tls.ts:45) now fails where the base branch suppressed it.Verification: Triggers when the leak the entry was added to hide still occurs on an ASAN build. test/leaksan.supp:98 still reads
leak:Bun__canonicalizeIP. The symbol it names is deleted: src/runtime/dns_jsc/cares_jsc.rs drops#[bun_jsc::host_fn(export = "Bun__canonicalizeIP")]and replaces it withcanonicalize_ip(line 853). A repo-wide search forBun__canonicalizeIPat HEAD finds only test/leaksan.supp:98.

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win
Pass received JS values into signature validation.
If b.fn sets passThis: true or passCallee: true, a returns: b.any signature with the default capability fails construction. new Signature(options) does not receive the flag that permits a function to return a JS value it already holds. Pass the applicable flag when constructing the signature, as Method does for passThis.

…the list of test files before the exit, and update the `Bun.resolve` message in its test
There was a problem hiding this comment.
I re-reviewed the latest push and found no new bugs; the two points from my earlier pass are addressed (the resolve-test assertions now match the new message, and Bun.cron.remove/parse take b.string.allowStringObject). Since this rewrites the generator and every *.bind.ts across ~300 files, a human look is still worthwhile.
What was reviewed on this push: the createObjectURL change back to b.any with an as_class_ref::<Blob>() check and a typed error in ObjectURLRegistry.rs, the added drop(all_test_files) before global_exit() in test_command.rs, and the cron schema's string-object handling.
Extended reasoning...
The PR replaces every CallFrame-taking Rust host function with a bindgen schema, deletes the #[host_fn] macro, $rust/$newRustFunction and the js2native dispatch tables, and extends the generator with passThis, passCallee, export and b.value; it spans 296 files with roughly 5.7k insertions and 6.9k deletions across codegen, C++ bindings, Rust runtime modules and src/js. It touches argument validation on user-facing APIs (fetch, URL, FFI, resolve, cron, S3) rather than auth or crypto. Both inline findings from the prior run were fixed in commits 432b725 and 2355e41, and the bug hunt ran dry on this version, but the size and the generator-level design changes keep it outside what an automated approval should cover.

test/js/bun/patch/patch.test.ts:978— nit: thepatchInternals.apply()no-argument case was deleted from this test instead of being updated, so the new behaviour for a missing patchfile is no longer covered. The comment at test/js/bun/patch/patch.test.ts:968 also still namesparse_apply_args, which this change removes from src/patch_jsc/testing.rs. Fix: keep the no-argument call and assert what it now prints (patchfile: b.string.loose.utf8turnsundefinedinto the text "undefined", so it reaches "failed to parse patchfile"), and reword the comment to name the current entry pointapply.Why this was flagged
The diff removes the line
try { patchInternals.apply(); ... } catch (e) { console.log("missing-argument: " + e.message); }and its expected output"missing-argument: apply: expected at least 1 argument, got 0"from the "invalid arguments throw a catchable error" test in test/js/bun/patch/patch.test.ts:978-993, with no replacement. On the base branch that call threw a dedicated message fromparse_apply_args; after the change src/patch_jsc/patch_testing.bind.ts:12-18 declarespatchfile: b.string.loose.utf8, soapply()convertsundefinedto the string "undefined" and src/patch_jsc/testing.rs:52-56 reports "failed to parse patchfile". That path is now untested, and the comment at test/js/bun/patch/patch.test.ts:968 still says these cases hit error paths inparse_apply_args, a function the diff deletes. No user-visible failure; this is test coverage and a stale comment only.Verification: Triggering condition: a future change relies on this test to cover
patchInternals.apply()with no arguments. test/js/bun/patch/patch.test.ts removes that call and its expected output"missing-argument: apply: expected at least 1 argument, got 0"with no replacement. The comment at test/js/bun/patch/patch.test.ts:968 still namesparse_apply_args, deleted from src/patch_jsc/testing.rs.

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win
Restore the All::MAX_ID upper bound.
The old code rejected an id above All::MAX_ID (MAX_SAFE_INTEGER). The new code checks only id < current. The error message still reports max: All::MAX_ID, but nothing enforces that limit. b.u64 accepts integral numbers above 2^53. After such a call, timer ids lose precision when they are returned to JS, and two timers can then compare equal.

There was a problem hiding this comment.
I re-ran the review on the latest push and found no new bugs; both things I flagged earlier are now addressed in the code, but with 317 files and the host-function ABI, crypto, TLS, socket and SQL bindings all rewritten, a human look is still worthwhile.
What was reviewed:
- The two earlier inline findings: test/js/bun/resolve/resolve-test.js now asserts the new "specifier must be a string" message, and
b.string.utf8(now used byBun.cron.remove/parsein src/runtime/api/cron.bind.ts) accepts aStringobject per the generator'sUtf8Type.valueKinds, so both are closed. - The last commit's schema tightening in src/runtime/node/node_crypto_binding.bind.ts:
pbkdf2's callback becoming a requiredb.callablemoves the missing-callback check ahead of the digest-existence check, which matches Node's order (validateFunction before the job's digest lookup) and the updated test/js/node/crypto/pbkdf2.test.ts. - The new
.otherAsNullonrandomUUIDv5's encoding in src/runtime/webcore/Crypto.bind.ts replaces theb.union({ label, ignored: b.any })shape with the same "non-string means hex" semantics.
Extended reasoning...
The PR migrates every Rust host function that took a raw CallFrame into generated .bind.ts schemas, deletes the #[host_fn] macro, $rust/$newRustFunction and the Rust js2native dispatch, and extends the bindgen generator and its C++/Rust runtime support with many new type forms and options, touching 317 files at +8753/-9601. It rewrites the argument handling of security-relevant surfaces: node:crypto (pbkdf2, scrypt, argon2, randomUUID/randomInt), TLS SecureContext, sockets, fetch and the SQL clients. Since the prior review, three commits typed the remaining arguments, added .otherAsNull and closed the schema checks earlier reviews raised; both of my earlier inline findings are addressed in the code and the bug hunt ran dry with no new findings. The size and the breadth of the generator and ABI changes (sysv64 thunks on win-x64, promise-reaction symbol handling) are what rule out approving without a human reviewer.
…y length first, and skip the markdown callbacks and components that are not passed

…pelling of an enumeration, and name public arguments as the docs do
main deleted `$newRustFunction` (#46540), so the merged branch did not build: `Unknown $rust() file identifier "node_util_binding.rs"`. `child.stdin.destroy()` now reaches the sink through `destroy` in `FileSink.bind.ts`. The ECANCELED code comes from the `ecanceledErrorCode` value that `node_util_binding.bind.ts` already has. No behaviour change.
…rite #46540 removed the `write_file_mod` alias from Blob.rs. The helper that this branch adds still used the alias, so the branch did not compile after a merge with main. The local is now `job`, so that it does not read like the module.
…ction Main no longer has the host export shape that takes a CallFrame (#46540), so the reaction is now a b.fn in hw_exports.bind.ts. Under a watcher it returns the reason as the error to throw, which is what the rethrow did. VirtualMachine::main() is an Option on main: with no entry module, no call is for the entry point.
…: `bun build --compile --aot` Upstream PR head 5b59847 (281 commits over upstream main 5e18294, which also brings bindgen oven-sh#46329/oven-sh#46540: classes.ts and #[host_fn] removed). Conflicts (83 files) resolved upstream by default, keeping the fork's deliberate features: - build: fork build-dir lock, Windows response files (also for the new pch_chained rule), driverflags on link_trimmable, curl's nested cmake (dispatch restored), the fork's feature flags beside shadowRealm/ffi/aot. - bindings: the fork's additions to classes upstream moved to bindgen are ported to their schemas: Request.keepalive, Image.extract/rgba, FetchSession estimatedSize/exportHAR/clearHAR, expect.getState/setState/ addSnapshotSerializer, test.for, vitest hooks, FFI.dlopen globalScope, upgrade_test_helpers.zipFilename. - fork-only lazy properties (Curl, Crawl, WebDetect, VectorIndex, HTML, BrowserRealm, TerminalScreen, RioTerminal) stay on the legacy path. - fork-owned zlib backend, Archive, assert prototype table kept.
What does this PR do?
Every Rust function that JavaScript calls is now described in a
*.bind.tsschema. The schema says what the function takes and returns, generated code converts the arguments and the result, and the body receives and returns Rust data. No Rust function outside the stream sinks takes aCallFrame.Deleted, with every use:
