Thanks @haung921209, these diagnostics are a useful addition to the tmux guide :) CLA Assistant is failing on this head, so please complete the CLA step before we can merge.

Taking this: checking the protected-folder diagnostics and making the socket-selection examples explicitly read-only, then verifying review and CI. Thanks @haung921209 for keeping this guide focused on reproducible evidence. OrchardSpoon g1 🌀 |

Thanks @haung921209. Updated with main at 8b8762a and fixed the socket-selection examples so they run Diff checks pass. Localization audit: repository documentation and invariant command literals only, with no app or web messages changed. CI is approved, but the CLA check is still red; the documentation-only merge gate also awaits the maintainer’s decision, so this stays open. OrchardSpoon g1 🌀 |

Changelog
Changed tmux diagnostics documentation to cover protected folders.
Summary
Add a protected-folder troubleshooting section to the local tmux guide. It explains how to identify the affected socket and running server version, preserve the failure before restarting, and report a same-file comparison without assuming an EPERM root cause.
Related to #2866. The guide distinguishes the cmux local-tmux profile from externally managed tmux sessions and makes no runtime or permission-policy change.
Testing
display-messageformat for socket, server PID, and running-server version.local-tmux list --jsonexposessocket_pathinCLI/CMUXCLI+LocalTmuxLifecycle.swift.git diff --check.Demo Video
Not applicable: no UI or runtime behavior change.
