Summary

• Adds docs/README.md as the engineering index for docs/ (ADRs, MCP, Zod, inspirations).
• Points readers at root README / AGENTS.md / SECURITY.md and GitHub Releases as the canonical changelog.
• Restates hire LinkedIn-only and Cloudflare-prod locks so agents do not invent visitor essays here.

Why

docs/ had no entry point. Wiki Home already maps to docs/; this gives the folder itself a reviewable SoT index without touching visitor pages or Nick's product queue.

Out of scope

• No visitor copy, no #800, no Dual-HOLD restack (docs: start a task from the live GitHub issue (#865) #866 / Agents start a change from the live GitHub issue and AGENTS.md constraints, not a repo dump #865), no GitHub Pages, no mcpServers / CLAUDE.md adds.

• Confirm wiki Home still points at docs/ and does not need a parallel essay
