Summary

• CHANGELOG.md still looked like a living log (last entry April 2026, "No documented changes") while AGENTS.md, the wiki map, and CI already treat GitHub Releases as the canonical changelog.
• Replaces the stale body with a short pointer: Releases = SoT; /whats-new/ = visitor rewrite; do not append version notes here.

Why

Same gap as closed unmerged #920 (Nick sweep 5 Sep: do not reopen). Fresh branch from current main, not a reopen. Highest-value docs honesty gap left that open drafts do not cover.

Scope

• One file. Docs-only. Stay DRAFT.
• No visitor pages, no #800, no Dual-HOLD restack (docs: start a task from the live GitHub issue (#865) #866 / Agents start a change from the live GitHub issue and AGENTS.md constraints, not a repo dump #865), no GitHub Pages, no mcpServers / CLAUDE.md.
• Leaves open docs drafts alone (docs: README matches the live chat-first site #880/GitHub visitors reading the README can see which production, test, analytics, and AI tools this site actually uses #1018 README, docs: agent-facing identity corpus in context/ #885 identity, docs: Elevated taste skill so agent UI still looks like this site (#897) #898 elevated taste, docs: AGENTS.md stack says Astro 7, not v4+ #996 Astro 7, docs: copilot-instructions say Workers prod, not Pages #1083 Copilot, docs: persona-alignment points at /biography/, not about.astro #1169 persona→biography). Does not reopen docs: add docs/ README index #911 docs index or docs: mcp.md matches ADR 0001 (Cloudflare prod, Render Jules) #926 mcp.md.
