Summary

Improves marketplace mode installation and removal by using CustomModesManager and adding proper cleanup with user confirmation. Makes marketplace modes fully compatible with the embedded rules folder/files system.

Changes

Installation

  • Refactored to use CustomModesManager.importModeWithRules() for proper mode installation
  • Ensures rules directories are created correctly during installation
  • Now properly handles modes with embedded rules files from marketplace

Removal

  • Added confirmation dialog warning users that rules files will be deleted
  • Refactored to use CustomModesManager.deleteCustomMode() for proper cleanup
  • Automatically removes .roo/rules-{slug}/ directories after mode deletion
  • Added real-time UI feedback for removal success/failure

Backend Updates

  • CustomModesManager: Added deleteRulesFolder() method to handle rules cleanup
  • SimpleInstaller: Refactored to use CustomModesManager for both install and remove
  • Added proper error handling that continues mode removal even if rules deletion fails
  • Full compatibility with modes that include embedded rules folders/files

UI Updates

  • Added AlertDialog component for removal confirmation
  • Shows warning about rules deletion for modes (different message for MCP servers)
  • Updates marketplace view automatically after successful removal
  • Shows error messages if removal fails

Other Changes

  • Updated all 18 locale files with confirmation dialog translations

Testing

  • Comprehensive test coverage for installation and removal flows
  • Tests for rules folder cleanup with error handling
  • Verified compatibility with modes containing embedded rules
