  • the AIG will have met by the next meeting of the Road Map.

• Fedora 4 Interest Group (Nick)

  • Meeting last Friday. Migration utilities work, mapping, new visualization of PCDM for Large Image, Services Documentation (Danny Lamb), update on Audit Service (now in phase 2), issues related to XML Forms and a call is scheduled to devote meeting on XML Forms and what is the path forward. Other updates include Islandora/F4 DevOps update, code sniffer, fuseki2.0. A demo will be ready for Open Repositories.

  • Work still being done to bring the new documentation in line with the new release. The documentation has been reorganized. Still in Confluence.

• Dev Ops Interest Group

  • testing vagrant documentation.

  • Draft Terms of Reference prepared.
  • Would be useful to intersect with the Hydra Metadata group re: PCDM.

  • developing an Islandora Ontology (Nick) for use in the F4 context
  • how content model would be modeled eg. as an RDF type

Islandora Camp updates

• iCampEU2
  • Will be opening up to day registrations shortly. 16 full camp registrations thus far.
• Islandora Conference
  • In the process of securing instructors for sessions. Proposals ended yesterday, but will provide an extension. Do a blitz soon because the Island is busy in August.
• iCampCT
  • no updates.

CLAs

• Draft notice to the community for review
  • revise draft to reflect the various contexts and IP ownership (eg. university may sign a cCLA, but that would not cover a faculty member ... who would sign a iCLA)
• New CLA: Marmot Library Network
  • Interested in contributing to Fedora 4 project.

Release Update

• 7.x-1.5 was released April 30, 2015. Next release due out in October 2015.

New Business

• GPLv2 vs GPLv3 - Request from potential contributor to consider v2 for patent reasons.
  • Drexel would like to contribute back, but some issues with the GPLv3 license.
  • Drexel legal feel that v2 does not have the same patent implications that v3 does.

  • the GPLv2 is acceptable to include.
• UI Solutions Pack - discussion on the listserv. Maybe a temporary interest group?

Roundtable

• Nick - 250K publicly available objects
• Nigel - Usage Stats module in conjunction with Ryerson. Can potentially come back to the Foundation. Metrics for Islandora objects.
• Gabriela - video project ... ingesting large video files.
• Mark - data research project, generalized version of the SFUdora module, integrating pydio, and providing a drupal based DMP tool.
• Kirsta - on leave shortly. Oral history project ... hoping to commit that work back. Getting more stable institutional support over then next few months.
