If you own example.com with GoDaddy (or any other domain registrar) and want your device apps appear like https//nextcloud.example.com

To do that you need to:

  1. Subscribe at https://syncloud.it/account
  2. Activate (or Reactivate from Settings - Activation) device with Premium Plan and enter example.com as a device name.
  3. Go to https://syncloud.it and copy Name Servers under your domain.
  4. Go to Domain Registrar management web and enter name servers.
  5. Wait for DNS to update (usually it takes 24 hours to update)
  6. Open https//example.com in a browser and install Nextcloud (if not installed already) U. Open https//nextcloud.example.com in a browser

Troubleshooting

Check that you have updated name servers correctly:

dig ns [your-domain] +short

Should return the same list as your Syncloud domain page at https://syncloud.it If it is empty something is wrong with your Domain Registrar name server update and may need to contact them to get more help. The question you need to ask:

How can I update the list of name servers for my domain as I am using my own DNS server?
