Accounts
When using Syncloud project you have two accounts:

Device account created during the activation process. Account info is NOT shared with anyone NOT even Syncloud and it is stored only on your device. It is used to access all the device apps.

DNS (syncloud.it) account created by registering on the web site. Used to manage DNS records for your device and required during activation. Many people confuse this account with device account as device is accessed by similar name ([name].syncloud.it). But they are very different.
On device users are created using Syncloud Users app which are then visible in all apps. Password changes in Users app is reflected in all apps immediately.
In Syncloud Users there is a group called "syncloud". First user is automatically added to this group. Additional users can be added later. This group grant "admin" permissions.
For example users not in syncloud group cannot login to main device web (install apps, enable external access).
Many apps will see that and grant their "admin" permissions to users in syncloud group.
Nextcloud unfortunately does not support granting admin permissions to syncloud group users yet: https://github.com/nextcloud/server/issues/6428 Workaround is to add user to Nextcloud admin group in Nextcloud itself.
Currently SSH root account is set only during the activation. More info
