Screensavers

The Screensaver screen allows to change the Screensaver Type.

The Screensaver type can be chosen from the following items:

1. Clock.
2. Logo.
3. Slideshow (default).
4. VU Meter.
5. Weather.
6. Spectrum Analyzer.
7. Lyrics.
8. Pexels.
9. Monitor.
10. Horoscope.
11. Stock.
12. Random.

The Screensaver delay is the time of inactivity (no user actions) after which screensaver starts. The delay can be one of the following:

1. 1 minute (default).
2. 3 minutes.
3. Off.

The delay can be changed using the Web UI:

Each screensaver can be enabled/disabled in the configuration file config.txt in section screensaver.menu. When disabled the screensaver will not show up in the menu.

WARNING The following screensavers are not available in Web UI: VU Meter, Spectrum Analyzer and Random.

Screensaver Configuration parameters

Each screensaver has its own configuration file called screensaver-config.txt. This file is located in screensaver's folder. For example Clock screensaver has configuration file in folder /home/pi/Peppy/screensaver/clock. The configuration file contains parameters which can be used to adjust behavior of the particular screensaver.

The Weather screensaver has its own configuration file weather-config.txt. The file is located in the language specific folder.
