BLOCKING (2)

Root Cause

  • src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag The de-prose pass treated load-bearing review receipts as removable prose → keep compact in-file spec/version anchors and either preserve the coproduct ledger or move it to a committed referenced decision record.

⚠️ The carrier model is byte-identical, but the PR removes required modeling receipts that reviewers and downstream workers need to verify the model.

Addressed on HEAD: DECISIONS.md now has (1) a substrate-table row for extdeps/languages/cpp.dag pointing at Part 6 · CP-3229-GREEN-TERMINAL, and (2) an explicit CppIntegerOverflowDisposition 🟢 row under ### src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag so the in-file tag is reviewable (3b4818d).

Cross-checked again on 3b4818d (current PR HEAD): cpp.dag L15 is still the required one-line Part 6 · CP-3229-GREEN-TERMINAL tag immediately above type CppIntegerOverflowDisposition. On the same commit, DECISIONS.md still contains the | extdeps/languages/cpp.dag | … substrate row and the CppIntegerOverflowDisposition 🟢 row under ### src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag, so the in-file tag is anchored to written ledger text (not a dangling slug). No further code change indicated.

Merge readiness snapshot: GitHub mergeStateStatus=CLEAN, mergeable=MERGEABLE, CI SUCCESS on the 3b4818d workflow run; dashboard api-review approvals = 1/2 (still missing a second distinct qualifying APPROVE on policy). Not running gh pr merge per operator directive.

Re-verify on 427d3ce63 (current PR HEAD) — finding does not hold

src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag L14 still carries the one-line Part 6 · CP-3229-GREEN-TERMINAL tag, and the slug is backed by committed DECISIONS.md on this branch:

  1. ### CP-3229-GREEN-TERMINAL — 🟢 GREEN five-pattern ledgers (bulk) exists in src/v4/DECISIONS.md (Part 6).
  2. Substrate path table row | extdeps/languages/cpp.dag | … explicitly indexes CppIntegerOverflowDisposition to ### src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag and Part 6 · CP-3229-GREEN-TERMINAL.
  3. Under ### src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag**, there is a dedicated **| CppIntegerOverflowDisposition | 🟢 GREEN terminal | …` row that names Part 6 · CP-3229-GREEN-TERMINAL as the merge-base / five-pattern recovery home.

So Practice 4 / Practice 9 has a reviewable ledger in-tree; the in-file tag is not dangling. If the relay was anchored to an older commit before 3b4818d, that would explain the mismatch — please re-resolve the thread against 427d3ce63.

Pin ISO/IEC 14882:2020 (store link + working-draft navigation) per
dsl/extdeps/extdeps.md. Add substrate-table and per-carrier rows so the
live CP-3229-GREEN-TERMINAL tag has an explicit DECISIONS home for
CppIntegerOverflowDisposition.

Re-verified on current HEAD = 3b4818d: src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag still carries the ISO/IEC 14882:2020 (C++20) L-2 pin in Scope and the ISO store + eel.is draft navigation pair in the header Anchor (lines 2 and 6). The follow-up commit extends the earlier merge-only refresh with DECISIONS.md substrate + CppIntegerOverflowDisposition ledger rows so the live CP-3229-GREEN-TERMINAL tag stays reviewable—still no carrier / Rust semantics change beyond header + authority text.

Claude dashboard APPROVE (228f2aa42): still directionally valid for the comment-only slice; 3b4818d is the strict superset that also closes the codex inline blockers (spec cite/version + explicit DECISIONS home for the 🟢 tag).

Merge readiness: GitHub mergeStateStatus=CLEAN, mergeable=MERGEABLE, CI green on the 3b4818d run. Dashboard gate remains 1/2 distinct qualifying api-review APPROVE providers on file for the two-approval rule—needs one more Verdict: APPROVE-class review on this SHA (per operator policy: do not gh pr merge from here).

Codex APPROVE (14516, 3b4818d) — verified against current HEAD

Spot-check on 3b4818d: src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag stays Practice-9-shaped (path + terse header + Ledger: + per-coproduct one-line 🟢 tag + per-carrier anchors for cpp_bool_grounding); overflow rationale lives in src/v4/DECISIONS.md via the ### src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag table row for CppIntegerOverflowDisposition plus the sibling extdeps/languages/cpp.dag substrate row — consistent with codex’s “single-authority / no prose creep into .dag” read. No defect found in codex’s review narrative; no fix commit.

Merge readiness (dashboard + GitHub): dashboard-ops reviews reports ready: true, 2/2 distinct dashboard approvals (claude, codex; codex on 3b4818d, claude on ancestor 228f2aa42), no REQUEST_CHANGES, mergeable: MERGEABLE, checks_state: passing, GitHub mergeStateStatus=CLEAN.

Per operator temporary policy: not running gh pr merge; stopping worker-side work on this PR here.

Practice 9 authorizes only path + four-line header + per-carrier Anchor +
classification tags; ledger inventory belongs in DECISIONS.md (already
present). The coproduct tag still cites Part 6 · CP-3229-GREEN-TERMINAL.

cursor/composer-2 (14531) — // Ledger: on cpp.dag

Verified: docs/modeling-discipline.md Practice 9 lists only (1) path, (2) four-line header, (3) // Anchor: per carrier, (4) classification / optional cite — no // Ledger: class. The standalone ledger inventory is process-meta; it belongs in DECISIONS.md (already: substrate row + CppIntegerOverflowDisposition table) and the commit message, not as an extra // line.

Fix landed: removed the header // Ledger: … line from src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag in 427d3ce63; the // 🟢 coproduct dissolution — DECISIONS.md Part 6 · CP-3229-GREEN-TERMINAL. tag on CppIntegerOverflowDisposition remains the in-file Practice-4 pointer.

Note (repo hygiene, out of scope for this PR): go.dag / rust.dag still carry the same // Ledger: header pattern — strict Practice-9 alignment there would be a follow-up if operators want corpus-wide consistency.

claude 14549 (427d3ce63) — spot-check on current HEAD

Re-read src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag: type CppIntegerOverflowDisposition / variants are unchanged from the substrate-only intent; diff is comments + header (L-2 pin + ISO store + eel.is navigation Anchor), the one-line 🟢 pointer on the coproduct, plus cpp_bool_grounding block unchanged aside from existing staging lines. The extra // Ledger: header line called out by composer is already gone on this SHA (Practice-9 alignment).

DECISIONS.md: substrate row | extdeps/languages/cpp.dag | … | and the CppIntegerOverflowDisposition 🟢 row under ### src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag are still present — matches the “sibling go/python/rust style index” claim.

Merge readiness: dashboard-ops reviews shows ready: true, head_sha = 427d3ce63, 2/2 distinct APPROVE providers (claude on this SHA + codex on ancestor), no REQUEST_CHANGES, checks_state: passing. GitHub mergeStateStatus=CLEAN, mergeable=MERGEABLE, CI rollup SUCCESS on workflow for this commit.

codex 14561 (427d3ce63) — verification

Cross-checked HEAD = 427d3ce63: src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag matches the APPROVE narrative — Practice-9-shaped path + four-line header + file-level Anchor:, no standalone // Ledger: line, body is module / imports / one-line 🟢 on CppIntegerOverflowDisposition / cpp_bool_grounding staging only. src/v4/DECISIONS.md still carries the | extdeps/languages/cpp.dag | … substrate row (around the reviewer’s cited ~L123) plus the CppIntegerOverflowDisposition subsection row, so rationale stays single-authority in DECISIONS.md.

No defect in codex’s read; no fix commit.

Scheduled codex review @ 3b4818d3 (“no blocking concerns”) — checked against current HEAD

3b4818d3 is an ancestor of 427d3ce63. The only delta 3b4818d3 → 427d3ce63 is 427d3ce63: delete the standalone // Ledger: header line in cpp.dag (composer / Practice-9 alignment). DECISIONS.md and the CppIntegerOverflowDisposition / cpp_bool_grounding carrier lines are unchanged across that step, so the review’s strengths (extdeps fidelity + DECISIONS receipts without carrier drift) still apply on 427d3ce63.

No further code change from this item.

BLOCKING (1)

Root Cause

  • src/v4/DECISIONS.md The ledger reused target/ABI "implementation-defined" vocabulary for an arithmetic semantic split → rewrite the receipt as signed representability/UB versus unsigned modulo and cite the C++ clauses it relies on.

⚠️ The carrier stays unchanged, but the new authoritative ledger currently misstates the C++ standard semantics.

Comment thread src/v4/DECISIONS.md Outdated

| Carrier | Classification | Ledger result |
|---------|----------------|---------------|
| `CppIntegerOverflowDisposition` | 🟢 GREEN terminal | Same dissolution posture as `GoIntegerOverflowDisposition` / Rust `OverflowDisposition<IRCarrier>` classifiers: `RepresentableResultRequired` vs `UnsignedModuloArithmetic` are two mutually exclusive implementation-defined overflow behaviors for C++ primitive arithmetic in this slice, not a bool proxy, not a width-indexed family, and not a consumer-local policy knob. Five-pattern receipt and merge-base recovery live under **Part 6 · CP-3229-GREEN-TERMINAL** (bulk sibling-language recovery); live file keeps the Practice-9 one-line 🟢 tag only. |

This comment was marked as resolved.

…SO C++

The ledger must not collapse signed UB vs unsigned modulo 2^N into
“implementation-defined overflow”. Rewrite the Practice-4 row to the
defined/undefined distinction with draft clause cites (basic.types,
basic.fundamental, expr.pre). Carrier unchanged.

BLOCKING (codex @ 427d3ce6): C++ signed UB vs unsigned modulo — addressed in 2a1ee9f7b

Rewrote src/v4/DECISIONS.md CppIntegerOverflowDisposition ledger row (~L310) so it no longer mislabels the pair as lumped “implementation-defined overflow behaviors”. It now states:

  • UnsignedModuloArithmetic ↔ ISO C++ unsigned integral arithmetic modulo 2^N (defined), citing https://eel.is/c++draft/basic.fundamental.
  • RepresentableResultRequired ↔ signed results only in F when the mathematical value is representable; signed overflow is UB (not a third arm; fail-closed outside F), citing https://eel.is/c++draft/basic.types + https://eel.is/c++draft/expr.pre.

cpp.dag carriers unchanged (comment-only / DECISIONS.md authority text).

claude 14688 (2a1ee9f7b) — verified on current HEAD

Cross-checked 2a1ee9f7b: src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag is unchanged vs 427d3ce63 (last .dag edit remains header/anchor + one-line 🟢 tag + cpp_bool_grounding block); CppIntegerOverflowDisposition / UnsignedModuloArithmetic / RepresentableResultRequired lines are byte-identical across those commits. 2a1ee9f7b only tightens src/v4/DECISIONS.md CppIntegerOverflowDisposition ledger prose (signed UB vs defined unsigned mod 2^N + draft cites) — still no hand-Rust, no substrate carrier edits.

Merge readiness: GitHub rollup on this SHA shows fmt / affected / ci / v4 = SUCCESS (mergeStateStatus=CLEAN, mergeable=MERGEABLE). dashboard-ops reviews still showed checks_state: pending / ready: false in one poll (likely lag vs GitHub); treat GitHub as source of truth for green if the dashboard digest is stale.

DECISIONS.md: sibling extdeps/languages/cpp.dag row + CppIntegerOverflowDisposition ledger with unsigned modulo 2^N (defined) vs signed representability / UB outside F + draft cites — aligns with the variant split and Practice-9 supersession (rationale in DECISIONS.md, not .dag body).

PR vs main (triple-dot): only cpp.dag + DECISIONS.md (small diff); no v3 hand-Rust.

Merge readiness: dashboard-ops → ready: true, head_sha = 2a1ee9f7b, 3 dashboard APPROVE providers (claude, codex, cursor; policy still satisfied at ≥2), no REQUEST_CHANGES, checks_state: passing, GitHub mergeStateStatus=CLEAN, mergeable=MERGEABLE.

PR HEAD is c44b060eaed991f8b914fa53478ab819ae8a078e (merge origin/main → session/tidy-carp-737). Re-checked the touched slice:

  • src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag: still L-2 ISO C++20 in Scope, ISO store + eel.is draft header Anchor, Practice-9 four-line header (no // Ledger:), one-line 🟢 on CppIntegerOverflowDisposition, unchanged type / | arms + cpp_bool_grounding block — matches codex “carrier unchanged / versioned header / live tag ↔ decisions receipt”.
  • src/v4/DECISIONS.md: extdeps/languages/cpp.dag substrate row + CppIntegerOverflowDisposition 🟢 row with unsigned defined mod 2^N vs signed UB / representability + draft cites — still present after the merge; aligns with codex “overflow fidelity correction without new substrate authority”.

Dashboard feedback item 1 (claude-opus-4-7 APPROVE @ 2026-05-19T10:57:11Z) — verified

Checked current HEAD (a3b15eef): src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag still carries the Practice-9 header block (L-2 / clause-navigation note, Anchor: ISO + eel.is draft), the live CP-3229-CPP-INTEGER-OVERFLOW coproduct tag before CppIntegerOverflowDisposition, and cpp_bool_grounding unchanged as a decl-ref carrier. DECISIONS.md still indexes CppIntegerOverflowDisposition and CppBool under ### src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag plus the substrate row for extdeps/languages/cpp.dag. No Rust or carrier-shape edits are implied by this item.

Nuance: the approval text says “one header comment line”; the file is a short multi-line header (still comment-only). No code change warranted.

Merge readiness (re-eval): mergeable = MERGEABLE; CI rollup on latest push green; 0 CHANGES_REQUESTED reviews. Legacy “No blocking concerns” Codex artifacts exist on pre-merge SHAs (latest Codex body at c44b060); no api-review artifact is yet filed on merge commit a3b15eef — if your gate requires SHA-current reviews, the scheduler still needs a pass on that commit. Dashboard feedback item 1 (cursor/composer-2 APPROVE @ 2026-05-19T11:08:05Z) — verified

Cross-checked origin/main...HEAD (a3b15eef):

  • Scope: Exactly two files differ — src/v4/DECISIONS.md and src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag (git diff --stat: DECISIONS.md +2 −0 table lines in the sense of two added rows; cpp.dag +3 −1 hunks: expanded // Scope: line + new // Anchor: line). Composer’s “net +1 line” for cpp.dag is in the ballpark for semantic change (one scope line rewritten + one anchor line); the literal patch is +3/−1.

  • Practice 9 / ledger split: The PR adds // Anchor: and tightens the mandated header band on cpp.dag; overflow semantics stay in DECISIONS.md (new substrate row for extdeps/languages/cpp.dag + new CppIntegerOverflowDisposition carrier row). No v3 hand-Rust, no test edits — consistent with the APPROVE rationale.

  • Minor wording fix (review text, not the code): The python.dag “heuristic vs content / // Anchor:” paragraph appears in the diff hunk as unchanged context on main; this PR does not edit that row — it only inserts the cpp.dag substrate line immediately after it and adds the CppIntegerOverflowDisposition row under ### src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag. So “python.dag row in this diff” is true as surrounding ledger text, not as a line touched by the PR.

No defect found that requires a fix commit.

Merge readiness: mergeable MERGEABLE, CI green on latest visible rollup, 0 CHANGES_REQUESTED. ≥2 api-review artifacts on HEAD (a3b15eef): still not present in GitHub reviews API (Codex bodies stop at c44b060). Composer APPROVE + earlier Codex “no blocking concerns” satisfy intent across providers but not SHA-current api-review on the merge commit if that is a hard gate.

On headRefOid = 9302c282:

  • src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag: git diff origin/main...HEAD touches only the mandated header band (L-2 scope line + // Anchor: ISO 79358 + eel.is draft). module / import / CppIntegerOverflowDisposition (RepresentableResultRequired | UnsignedModuloArithmetic) / cpp_bool_grounding match main byte-for-byte on those declarations. The live CP-3229-CPP-INTEGER-OVERFLOW coproduct tag immediately before type CppIntegerOverflowDisposition is present — satisfies “reachable Practice-4 tag” + “versioned C++ authority” in the review’s sense (header anchors, not body prose).

  • src/v4/DECISIONS.md: Substrate row for `extdeps/languages/cpp.dag` plus the CppIntegerOverflowDisposition carrier row (unsigned modulo 2^N vs signed representability / UB, with eel.is cites) remain the concrete terminal receipt; aligned with ISO C++ as described in the review.

No actionable defect → no fix commit.

Merge readiness (re-eval): mergeable MERGEABLE; CI green on 9302c282; 0 CHANGES_REQUESTED. GitHub api-review rows with commit_id = 9302c282: one Codex legacy “No blocking concerns” (this item). A second distinct api-review approval on the same commit (e.g. openai-pro, which still does not appear in any <!-- [api-review] provider:… --> line on this PR) is not present in the GitHub reviews stream — if your gate requires ≥2 providers or ≥2 rows on headRefOid, the scheduler still owes that artifact; if the gate folds in non-GitHub dashboard APPROVEs, that’s outside what this reply can assert from the API alone.

Non-blocking — Strengths

  • src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag The .dag change is comment-only and preserves the carrier surface while adding the required versioned C++ authority.
  • src/v4/DECISIONS.md The ledger now gives a concrete terminal receipt for CppIntegerOverflowDisposition aligned with the C++ standard.

✅ No blocking thesis, invariant, modeling-discipline, or extdeps fidelity concerns in the changed lines.

Dashboard feedback item 1 (Codex api-review @ b1da98c7, 2026-05-19T15:17:04Z) — verified

On headRefOid = b1da98c7 (matches the review metadata):

  • src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag: git diff origin/main...HEAD is comment-only in the mandated band: expanded // Scope: (L-2 + clause-navigation note) and added // Anchor: (ISO 79358 + eel.is draft). No changes to module, imports, CppIntegerOverflowDisposition, or cpp_bool_grounding vs main — carrier declarations match main on those lines; the review’s “preserves the carrier surface” holds.

  • src/v4/DECISIONS.md: Still exactly the two added rows vs main — substrate row for `extdeps/languages/cpp.dag` and the CppIntegerOverflowDisposition GREEN-terminal receipt (unsigned mod 2^N vs signed representability / UB, with draft links). Matches “concrete terminal receipt … aligned with the C++ standard.”

No defect cited → no fix commit.

Merge readiness (re-eval): mergeable MERGEABLE; CI rollup on b1da98c7 green; 0 CHANGES_REQUESTED. GitHub api-review rows with commit_id = b1da98c7: one Codex legacy “No blocking concerns” (this item). Every <!-- [api-review] provider:… --> on the PR remains codex — no openai-pro artifact in that stream — so a strict “≥2 distinct providers on headRefOid” gate is still not satisfied from GitHub data alone; if your dashboard folds in a second APPROVE channel, that can clear it without further commits.

Non-blocking — Strengths

  • src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag The .dag change is header-only and grounds the existing resolver facts in a versioned C++ authority without changing carriers.
  • src/v4/DECISIONS.md The added receipt is specific to CppIntegerOverflowDisposition and ties the green classification to the defined/undefined split.

Remove extra file-level Anchor line; fold ISO + draft navigation into
Scope; per-carrier Anchor above CppIntegerOverflowDisposition; replace
dead DECISIONS Part-6 slug with ISO disposition one-liner. DECISIONS.md
ledger not restored (operator NUKE-class / hub-coordinated delete).

Dashboard item 1 (cursor/composer-2.5 REQUEST_CHANGES @ 2026-05-19T19:51:14Z) — addressed in 5a3465eec

Verified findings vs prior head (2b35f9ace): (1) DECISIONS.md no longer carried a reachable Practice-4 subsection / Part-1 row for CppIntegerOverflowDisposition while cpp.dag still pointed at DECISIONS.md Part 6 · CP-3229-CPP-INTEGER-OVERFLOW → dead cite. (2) Extra file-level // Anchor: between the mandated four header lines and module → Practice 9 header shape issue.

Why we did not restore the deleted DECISIONS.md hunks on this PR: operator-direct NUKE src/v4/DECISIONS.md class (hub witty-cat-59 relay) + lane posture: stop authoring DECISIONS receipts here; full coherent delete + doc amendments is hub-coordinated, not re-expanded on #3289. Restoring the Part-6 / Part-1 overflow ledger would fight that sequencing.

Fix pushed (5a3465eec): src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag only — fold ISO store + eel.is draft navigation into // Scope: (drop the sixth header line); // Anchor: immediately above CppIntegerOverflowDisposition (per-carrier anchor); replace the coproduct one-liner with a domain ISO disposition line (no DECISIONS.md slug). Trimmed // Status: forward refs that pointed at DECISIONS.md in the header band (no sweep of the separate cpp_bool_grounding block beyond what this review required).

python3 scripts/strict_deprose_dag.py --check — OK (allowlisted set unchanged).

Merge readiness: prior Codex artifacts are stale vs new HEAD; Composer REQUEST_CHANGES should be re-evaluated on 5a3465eec. openai-pro still absent from GitHub api-review stream on prior pattern. mergeable may show UNKNOWN briefly right after push — re-poll GitHub. No gh pr merge from this lane.

Composer APPROVE_WITH_COMMENTS (2026-05-19T20:05:22Z) — verified + fixed

Verified: src/v4/DECISIONS.md still documents ### CP-3229-CPP-INTEGER-OVERFLOW and the live substrate tag string for CppIntegerOverflowDisposition. cpp.dag:14 had been replaced with inline overflow prose — valid tension with Practice 9 (tag = one-line DECISIONS.md cite, not type description) / P2 single-authority pattern used across extdeps.

Fix pushed (dc0e12e71): restored the repo-standard line
// 🟢 coproduct dissolution — DECISIONS.md Part 6 · CP-3229-CPP-INTEGER-OVERFLOW.
immediately above type CppIntegerOverflowDisposition. Per-carrier // Anchor: (ISO store + eel.is draft) on line 13 unchanged. python3 scripts/strict_deprose_dag.py --check — OK.

Non-action on exploratory: left cpp_bool_grounding block as-is (predates this diff; no sweep).

1. Story of the diff

This PR is a comment-only cleanup in src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag: it tightens the file header around the C++ resolver slice, removes the old DECISIONS.md/§0 ledger reference from the Status: line at src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag:5, and adds a C++20/ISO anchor immediately before CppIntegerOverflowDisposition at src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag:13. The modeled surface itself stays byte-identical: same module/imports, same CppIntegerOverflowDisposition carrier, and same cpp_bool_grounding staging story. The intended mechanism is Practice-9 de-prose: keep the inline model marks and anchors that a reviewer/mechanical consumer needs, while moving ledger/process rationale out of the .dag file.

2. Invariant categories

  1. LAYER MODEL (substrate vs implementation).

Compliant — this does touch a v4 target-model .dag file, but the diff is comment-only and does not add or alter substrate connectives, behavior variants, Dag storage, or cross-pass implementation state; the actual modeled carriers remain unchanged.

  1. INVARIANTS.md + modeling-discipline.md.

Finding — Practice 9 / no comment-duplicating ledgers. src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag:14 still carries // 🟢 coproduct dissolution — DECISIONS.md Part 6 · CP-3229-CPP-INTEGER-OVERFLOW. The PR removes a DECISIONS.md ledger pointer from the changed Status: line at src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag:5 and adds the allowed Anchor: line at src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag:13, but this adjacent coproduct tag still points to the deleted/prohibited prose ledger. Practice 9’s live rule is that the inline mark is the system, verbose dissolution analysis belongs in PR review/commit messages, and the .dag file keeps only the one-line carrier tag/anchor shape; src/v4/DECISIONS.md is explicitly named as a deleted comment-duplicating ledger. chatgpt-review-3564b63e-2a06-47…

Practice 9 also says after de-prose comments are limited to the file path, terse four-line header, at most one anchor line, and one-line tags; process/meta pointers move out of the file. chatgpt-review-3564b63e-2a06-47…

The fix is to reduce the tag to the inline disposition itself, e.g. // 🟢 coproduct dissolution, with the CP/DECISIONS receipt left in PR/commit history rather than the carrier file.

  1. CODING.md.

N/A — no Rust implementation, helper, API, or error/result shape changed. The only code-style/comment-discipline issue is the .dag Practice-9 finding above, not a src/v3/compiler/src/ Rust-style issue.

  1. TESTING.md.

N/A — no behavior changed and no test surface changed. For this comment-only .dag edit, adding a new test would not buy behavioral confidence; the relevant check is Practice-9 content compliance rather than compile/run behavior. The long-term test direction remains .dag TestClaim declarations, but this PR does not add or remove such claims. chatgpt-review-0de3117c-5675-44…

  1. LOCKED DESIGN DECISIONS.

Compliant — the diff does not alter a locked design document or introduce a new implementation path. It preserves the v4 target-model shape: a Shape-A language target remains modeled in extdeps/languages/, consistent with the thesis direction that compiler language targets are added by one language spec rather than target-private compiler paths. chatgpt-review-a683495d-5727-4b…

  1. TRACKED vs UNTRACKED DEBT.

Compliant except for the Practice-9 finding above — the changed Status: line keeps the non-bool scalar ladder explicitly yellow-gated as feature:t4-cpp-scalar-ladder, and the header still names the T29-ABI follow-up context via the Consumes: line. No new TODO, scaffold, or temporary model shape is introduced by the diff. The remaining untracked-looking artifact is the stale DECISIONS.md receipt on src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag:14, already filed as the blocking finding.

2.5. Top-down PM intent review

Compliant — semantically, this PR does not dilute the C++ target-model plan: it keeps the model in the v4 .dag target-spec surface, adds/keeps external C++ anchoring, and does not turn a must-have modeling target into optional scaffolding or hand-written implementation. The Pure Bootstrap authority says the zero-floor target now applies to v4 as the operational instantiation, so keeping this as a .dag model edit rather than Rust-side machinery preserves the PM direction. chatgpt-review-7fadd8c4-71c8-4e…

The only merge-blocking gap is local Practice-9 hygiene: the file still references the old DECISIONS.md ledger after this PR tries to remove that class of prose authority.

3. Verdict

REQUEST_CHANGES. The modeled C++ carrier surface looks unchanged and the main header cleanup is in the right direction, but src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag:14 still preserves a stale DECISIONS.md ledger pointer in the coproduct tag. For a strict Practice-9 de-prose PR, that remaining in-file prose authority needs to be removed before merge.

openai-pro REQUEST_CHANGES (Practice-9 / ledger-nuke posture): keep 🟢
classification without in-file DECISIONS.md prose authority; receipt
remains PR/commit history per hub directive class.

Dashboard item 1 (openai-pro api-review REQUEST_CHANGES @ dc0e12e7, relayed 2026-05-19T20:34:53Z) — addressed in 420887e8b

Verified: src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag:14 still used // 🟢 coproduct dissolution — DECISIONS.md Part 6 · CP-3229-CPP-INTEGER-OVERFLOW. while the header band had already de-prosed other DECISIONS.md pointers — valid tension with the ledger-nuke / no parallel DECISIONS prose authority in .dag posture openai-pro cited (and with Practice 9 “comments are not a second authority” for this PR’s stated goal).

Fix pushed (420887e8b): replaced that line with the minimal inline classification only:

// 🟢 coproduct dissolution

(per openai-pro’s suggested shape). Per-carrier // Anchor: (ISO + eel.is draft) on line 13 unchanged. python3 scripts/strict_deprose_dag.py --check — OK.

Note: src/v4/DECISIONS.md still quotes the old one-liner in the CP-3229-CPP-INTEGER-OVERFLOW subsection (**Live substrate tag:** …) — intentionally not edited in this hop (whole-file delete is hub vessel node://adhoc-93a2d8b7-075); expect brief doc drift until that bundle lands. This supersedes the earlier Composer ask to restore the long DECISIONS.md slug on the tag when those two instructions conflict.

Merge readiness: re-poll openai-pro on 420887e8b; mergeable / CI may lag one refresh cycle after push. No gh pr merge from here.

Dashboard item — cursor/composer-2.5 api-review APPROVE (2026-05-19T20:41:39Z, artifact stdout)

Verified on PR HEAD 90180e238: src/v4/extdeps/languages/cpp.dag remains comment-only vs modeled surface — module / import / type CppIntegerOverflowDisposition / data cpp_bool_grounding bodies unchanged. Status: (line 5) has no DECISIONS.md pointer. CppIntegerOverflowDisposition is preceded by the allowed // Anchor: (line 13) plus minimal // 🟢 coproduct dissolution (line 14), matching the stated Practice-9 shape. No fix commit: there are no blocking findings in this artifact; the narrative matches the tree.

Exploratory notes (Composer): agreed cpp_bool_grounding line 21 still carries a long (ledger: DECISIONS.md …) parenthetical — intentionally left here: it is a different carrier than the overflow coproduct row this PR narrowed, and trimming it belongs to a follow-up once the hub DECISIONS vessel / bool-grounding receipts are settled (avoids widening this hop or fighting cross-reviewer “receipt” expectations). URL duplication Scope vs overflow Anchor: is acceptable: Scope states L-2 edition + clause navigation once for the file; the overflow carrier keeps a per-carrier normative anchor immediately above the sum type (Practice-9 “at most one anchor line” is per concern, not “one URL for the whole file”). Parity with go.dag can be a separate consistency pass if PM wants one home per file.

Merge readiness (snapshot): mergeable MERGEABLE; mergeStateStatus still UNSTABLE while v4 is QUEUED/IN_PROGRESS on the latest workflow run — re-poll for green v4 before treating CI as settled. ≥2 distinct api-review artifacts and no open REQUEST_CHANGES need a fresh read after openai-pro re-runs on current HEAD (prior openai-pro block was addressed in commit 420887e8b per earlier thread). No gh pr merge.

CI note (witty-owl lane): latest v4 attempts on workflow run 26123921409 are failing with The runner has received a shutdown signal / The operation was canceled mid-v2-compiler compile (after “resolved 78 sources”), not with a compiler diagnostic. Same pattern on jobs 76834586554 and 76835750910. Prior runs on this branch (e.g. 26122318838) passed v4 in ~3m — looks like GHA runner preemption / infra, not a regression from the comment-only cpp.dag diff. Suggest re-run failed jobs from Actions or wait for a fresh push event; lane cannot fix from repo content alone.

v4 logs showed runner shutdown mid `v2-compiler compile`, not diagnostics.
Concurrency previously keyed each PR commit by `head.sha`, so burst merges
could stack multiple full pipelines; cancel-in-progress did not supersede.
Run the v4 job on `ubicloud-standard-8` (same class as v3) for shorter wall

Resolve cpp.dag (drop committed conflict markers; keep main scalar ladder +
