Status: HELD DRAFT — pending Substrate slice

PR introduces AnthropicMessages200ContentBlock coproduct (text / thinking / redacted_thinking / tool_use / server_tool_use / web_search_tool_result) reusing CoproductWireContract::InternallyTaggedObject.

Cannot land yet: AnthropicMessages200Body.content typed output projection currently fails closed against the new coproduct shape because the v2 emitter has no variant-aware from-path resolver. Routed to Substrate as structural-projection-metadata carrier slice (jolly-ram-908 #1130 / inbox routing 4374293342); Substrate accepted ownership and chose typed projection metadata over string-grammar extension.

Pending before un-draft:

  • Substrate's structural projection metadata carrier slice merges.
  • Rerun Anthropic v2 pipeline tests; anthropic_messages_uses_typed_200_body_projection must pass instead of producing compile_error!("REST typed response path could not be resolved against declared 200 body: content/0/text").

Already handled in this draft:

  • v3 mirror in src/v3/std/anthropic_schema.dag matches the new AnthropicMessages200ContentBlock coproduct shape.
  • assert_disj_lockstep("AnthropicMessages200ContentBlock") and assert_disj_lockstep("AnthropicServerToolName") are covered by anthropic_schema_lockstep_test.rs; the retired AnthropicMessages200TextBlock lockstep is gone.

Do NOT merge until Substrate's slice lands. Do NOT close — substantive coproduct work to preserve.

Provisional R3 Receipt

Debt paid (drafted, not mergeable yet): ROADMAP:320 — AnthropicMessages200ContentBlock coproduct drafted with six type-tagged arms: text, thinking, redacted_thinking, tool_use, server_tool_use, and web_search_tool_result. MessagesThinkingBlock.signature is required per the current thinking-block response contract. MessagesToolUseBlock and MessagesServerToolUseBlock preserve optional caller, and MessagesServerToolUseBlock.name is the scaffolded AnthropicServerToolName enum mirrored from Anthropic's generated SDK literals. v3 mirror and lockstep tests now track the draft coproduct and server-tool enum.

Debt newly found: llm.Anthropic.Messages.output.content requires variant-aware typed REST response projection. MessagesWebSearchToolResultBlock.content: Json remains a narrowed payload residual. Current Anthropic beta/server-tool response blocks (web_fetch_tool_result, code_execution_tool_result, bash_code_execution_tool_result, text_editor_code_execution_tool_result, tool_search_tool_result, MCP tool use/result, and container_upload) remain explicitly tracked external-spec fidelity debt. Modeled MessagesToolUseBlock still tracks binding name / input / optional caller to declared tool schemas; modeled MessagesServerToolUseBlock still tracks per-tool input and optional caller payload fidelity, with the recorded dissolution shape to fold name + input into a server-tool-use coproduct keyed by AnthropicServerToolName.

Remaining row: ROADMAP:320 remains partial; structural_coverage_gap_anthropic_messages_200_residual tracks the upstream projection blocker plus the remaining container/web-search/beta-server-tool/tool-payload-fidelity residuals.

Verification So Far

  • CARGO_TARGET_DIR=/tmp/gunbc-target-snappy-v3 RUSTC_BOOTSTRAP=1 cargo test -p v3-compiler --test integration anthropic_schema_lockstep -- --nocapture
  • CARGO_TARGET_DIR=/tmp/gunbc-target-snappy-1457 cargo test -p v2-compiler-tests anthropic_messages_200_ -- --nocapture
  • Earlier broader anthropic_messages_ run confirmed the known blocker: anthropic_messages_uses_typed_200_body_projection fails because the emitter produces compile_error!("REST typed response path could not be resolved against declared 200 body: content/0/text").

Park-ratify per Director routing — work preserved, branch retained, re-dispatch trigger named

Closing #1702 as PARK-RATIFIED per Director routing call (zesty-bear-812 disposition pick after dashboard nudge cycle showed 7 nudges + 15h+ stale draft + worker-explicit "HELD DRAFT — pending Substrate slice" framing).

Preservation guarantees

  • Branch codex/cc1-target-integer-structural-fold MUST NOT be deleted — work product preserved at HEAD 51c6a4a1bf040d062af65d71bf52740af0930ec4 (7 files: dsl/extdeps/llm/anthropic.dag, src/v3/std/anthropic_schema.dag, lockstep test, v2 pipeline tests, generated bootstrap files).
  • Pre-flight Mgr-tier preservation verification at session/bold-ferret-748 · bold-ferret-748 #1745 #issuecomment-4383651149 (bold-ferret-748 / R3 Grounding Mgr).

Re-dispatch trigger

Re-dispatch this PR (or re-push the same diff to a fresh PR) when the upstream Substrate dependency lands:

  • Substrate structural projection metadata carrier for variant-aware typed REST response projection / from-path resolver — cited in this PR's original body, references jolly-ram-908 session/jolly-ram-908 · jolly-ram-908 #1130 routing 4374293342

That upstream carrier work is being routed to R3 Substrate Mgr (quick-crab-830, #1739) as a current dispatch — see Director routing comment at #1739 for status. Once the carrier lands, this PR's variant-aware response projection work becomes consumable.

Worker context

snappy-koi-58 (session inbox gunb-ai/gunbc#1457) is currently archived/closed; cannot be pinged directly for re-dispatch confirmation. The work is preserved remotely; re-dispatch can route to a different worker session if the original is not restored, OR can restore #1457 if needed.

Director context

Park-ratify shape per feedback_brief_pr_cadence discipline: 15h+ stale draft accumulating dashboard nudge noise converts to clean tracked dependency rather than stuck PR. Same discipline as #1796 closure earlier today.

Closing — branch retained — re-dispatch when Substrate carrier lands.

…ft-items + Grounding side-branches

Per bold-ferret-748 Grounding Mgr review at PR #1808 #issuecomment-4384302437.
5 findings, all VALID. Substantive structural fixes:

Finding 1 (authority hierarchy correctness) — Plan §5 cited
docs/audit/r3-debt-sweep-2026-05-06.md as source-of-truth, but that file is
on PR #1804 (not merged to main yet). Plan PR could merge into broken
authority. Fix: §5 added "Cross-PR dependency" header noting PR #1808
sequenced AFTER PR #1804 (claude APPROVE'd, doc-only, mergeable).

Finding 2 (v2-retirement dependency direction REVERSED) — Plan §2.2 placed
PR-F + Float migration as prerequisites for v2_directory_deleted. Wrong per
r3-structure.md: T-V2-Retirement depends on T-FixedPoint + T-LensProducer
+ T-Numeric-Construction Int<N>; PR-F + Float are blockers for FULL Rust
primitive grounding (T-Ground-Rust complete-coverage), NOT v2 deletion. Fix:
§2.2 corrected sequence + added separate "Grounding-side dependency branch"
section covering PR-F + Float for T-Ground-Rust + L5 closure.

Finding 3 (§3 T-Anthropic-Wire status drift) — Plan said GREEN-pending /
no blocker, but #1702 CLOSED + held pending Substrate variant-aware
projection metadata carrier. Fix: §3 row corrected to RED with
Q-Anthropic-Variant-Aware blocker; cites preserved branch
codex/cc1-target-integer-structural-fold sha 51c6a4a.

Finding 4 (§6 Grounding side-branches missing — closes G10) — Plan §6
DAG didn't include Grounding-driven re-dispatch edges. Fix: added
"Grounding-side dependency branches" 5-row table covering: PR-F →
T-Ground-Rust Phase 1; EmissionPathProjection → L6 CrossTarget-Meta;
variant-aware projection → #1702 Anthropic re-dispatch; LanguageSpec
projection → Coercion-Fold retirement; F10 install_hint cleanup. G10
closes.

Finding 5 (§5 drift items wrong) — Plan listed #1638/#1499/declaration_by_name
but #1638 + declaration_by_name are SAME issue (double-counted) +
CollectionOps/StringOps/MapOps drift omitted. Fix: §5 normalized to
correct three: declaration_by_name ROADMAP↔ledger; #1499 transitional
fence ledger-gap; CollectionOps/StringOps/MapOps stale ledger refresh.

Plus minor: §2.4 Class 5 cascade-gating clarified per Director finding 2.4
(NOT parallel-to-LBP; depends on PB chain T-FixedPoint → T-LensProducer-
Retirement).

Per quick-crab-830 review of PR #1808 at gunbc#846 #issuecomment-4384236406.
Substantive review beyond their original canvas (sha 3aee99d absorbed
the canvas; this commit absorbs the plan-poke-hole pass).

R1 (RED) — §3 T-Anthropic-Wire row was wrong. Plan said "RED · #1702
held pending variant-aware projection carrier" (per Grounding finding 3).
Substrate Mgr corrects: status is YELLOW with 3 coproduct worker briefs
dispatched on PR #1782 wait-window + 2 OPEN closure tags in
dsl/extdeps/llm/anthropic.dag (:189 + :68). Blocker = three coproduct
slices land + variant-aware projection carrier authored. Status
corrected from RED → YELLOW with precise blocker enumeration.

R2 (RED) — §4.2 Class 2 cascade dependency. Class 2 (function-valued
data) closes via T-Lens-Application-Surface which depends on
T-Lens-Behavioral-Parity (Substrate Mgr E3 RED — "I don't know how to
close this"). Plan made Class 2 closure transitively dependent on an
unscheduled lane without acknowledging the cascade. Fix: §4.2 adds
explicit "Cascade dependency caveat" stating Class 2 closure inherits
LBP scope-calibration outcome (Q-Lens-Behavioral-Parity-R3-Closeability
in §10.3).

R3 (RED) — §4.4 Class 4 substrate-prerequisite enumeration missing.
Plan named "CI workflow as .dag data" gap-test without enumerating
substrate carriers needed. Fix: §4.4 enumerates required carriers
(WorkflowTrigger sum, WorkflowStep + WorkflowMatrix, WorkflowSecret,
RunnerResource, Workflow composing carrier) + adds Q-Workflow-As-Data-
Carriers escalation in §10.3 (Substrate Mgr authoring scope; required
substrate prerequisites for Class 4 closure path).

Y3 — Q-PR-F bandwidth assumption. Plan said "Substrate Mgr executes
PR-F" without naming dispatch worker + brief shape + critical-path
slot. Per Substrate Mgr canvas D, only loyal-wolf + valiant-ant fully
idle. Fix: Q-PR-F updated with concrete bandwidth-aware dispatch
routing — worker = loyal-wolf or valiant-ant (Substrate Mgr selects);
brief shape = T-E-P precedent; critical-path slot = post-#1782 +
parallel to T-E-P.

Y4 — §2.3 Substrate-owned bridge scope. Plan said "Substrate-owned (2)"
includes SourceSpan.file participation checks. Substrate Mgr scope-
clarification: bootstrap_generated.rs codegen-emitted SourceSpan::new
calls are a separate generated-file bridge shape, NOT counted as
Substrate-owned manual hand-Rust. Fix: §2.3 explicitly clarifies the
2-count covers hand-Rust audit sites (bootstrap.rs:519 + :137/:287/:309)
ONLY; codegen-emitted offsets in bootstrap_generated.rs are separate.

Y2 — §10.2.3 stale "pending canvas response": already absorbed at sha
3aee99d (Substrate canvas full absorption). No new fix needed; Y2
confirmed addressed at HEAD.

Y1 — §6 critical-path realism: scope question Q-T-E-P-Cascade-Scope +
Q-Lens-Behavioral-Parity-R3-Closeability already in §10.3. No new fix;
estimate marked PROVISIONAL per Director finding 6.4.

GREEN findings (G1 Class 1 Int<N> gate / G2 demonstration principle /
G3 PR-authoring contract) — Substrate-Mgr-validated. Standing.

…3/G5 HELD on Substrate cascade

Per Grounding Mgr partition response at gunbc#846 #issuecomment-4385080863.
Fifth Mgr to engage substantively.

§5 header carries Grounding Mgr's worker partition table. Clean dispatch
shape — Grounding lane is largely consumer of Substrate work, so most
items HELD until Substrate carriers land.

Partition:
- G1 L6 row population: HELD pending Substrate S6 EmissionPathProjection
- G2 T-Ground-Rust full coverage: HELD pending Substrate S7 PR-F + S8
  Float migration; #1783 remains draft as dispatch-guide staging artifact
- G3 Coercion-Fold scratch retirement: HELD pending LanguageSpec projection
- G4 F10 install_hint cleanup: DISPATCHED 2026-05-06 to silent-badger-711
  (#1774)
- G5 Anthropic #1702 re-dispatch: HELD pending Substrate S5 variant-aware
  projection + Q-Anthropic-Variant-Aware closure-scope

No PM/Director ratification needed; G4 dispatched cleanly. Other items
proceed when Substrate triggers land.

Net: 5 of 6 Mgrs (Substrate + Verification + Debt-Paydown + PB +
Grounding) substantively engaged. Pending: Evaluator only.

* docs(r3): comprehensive R3 design schedule — per-Mgr dispatch matrix per Brian directive

Per Brian directive 2026-05-06 (chat): "can we schedule all the design now?"

Authors `docs/r3-design-schedule-2026-05-06.md` — central PM-tier dispatch
matrix covering all 6 R3 Mgrs + cross-program / Director-tier decisions.

Per-Mgr design queue:

§1 Substrate Mgr (12 design items): Q-Class-2 gap-test (S1) + LBP scope-

§5 Grounding Mgr (5 design items): L6 row population (G1) + T-Ground-Rust
full coverage (G2) + Coercion-Fold scratch retirement (G3) + F10 cleanup
(G4) + Anthropic #1702 re-dispatch (G5).

§6 Debt-Paydown Mgr (5 design items): Q-Drift-Reconcile (DP1) + SG-0 CI

(CP1) + Q-Tier4-Inclusion (CP2) + Q-WEDGE-A framing (CP3) + Q-Class-6
(CP4) + PR #1794 merge (CP5).

§8 Sequencing summary: critical path (T-E-P-Producer-Broadening → T-LBP →
T-LAS||T-WAD → T-LSA) + parallel longest single-lane (T-V2-Retirement) +
Verification-internal path + bottleneck escalations.

§9 Status update cadence: daily Mgr-internal + weekly Mon/Wed/Fri PM
compilation. Cross-Mgr coord via Director queue.

§10 References: r3-structure.md / r3-program-plan.md (incl. §1.8 ledger) /
audit/r3-debt-sweep-2026-05-06.md / 6 Mgr inboxes + Director + Research
PM.

Total design items: ~44 across 6 Mgrs + 5 Director-tier decisions.

Net: per-lane Mgr design work scheduled in parallel with Brian/Director
scope-calibration decisions. Mgrs do NOT wait for all decisions to
resolve — design dispatches in flight as escalations resolve.

* docs(r3): absorb Substrate Mgr §1 partition response — worker pins + S3∥S8 + demo as Acceptance bullets

Per Substrate Mgr partition response at gunbc#846 #issuecomment-4385074769.
Substrate Mgr provided clean trigger-state partition for §1 12 items + worker
pins + structural corrections.

Updates absorbed:

S7 PR-F: worker pin narrowed to loyal-wolf-828 (per Q-PR-F bandwidth-aware
routing + Substrate Mgr explicit partition); valiant-ant-72 reserved for S3
MachineConstraint<C> implementation post-design (cleaner separation of
authoring vs implementation phases).

S8 ApproximateField<F> Float migration: dispatch trigger updated from
"post-S3 (sequential) OR parallel" → "**parallel with S3**" per Substrate
Mgr correction. MachineConstraint<C> and ApproximateField<F> are
INDEPENDENT axes (machine width vs algebra approximation); both Mgr-tier
design now with cross-reference at brief-landing.

S10 T-E-P-Producer-Broadening: worker pin = quick-koi-190 (currently on
#1799 termination-contract; T-E-P consumes descent-evidence, natural
follow-on).

S11 Slice C: dispatch trigger refined to "post-#1795 (Slice A) + #1801
(Slice B) merge" cascade-clearance; worker pin = smart-ram-167 (Slice B
precedent owner; pattern-familiar).

5 demonstration gates (#67/#68/#70/#72/#73): per Substrate Mgr structural
correction — fold demonstration scope into parent worker brief Acceptance
bullets, NOT separate dispatches. Each gate becomes Acceptance bullet on
parent lane's brief.

Worker assignment now explicit:
- S5 (variant-aware projection): quiet-boar-160 (in flight)
- S7 (PR-F): loyal-wolf-828 (post-#1782 merge)
- S10 (T-E-P): quick-koi-190 (post-#1782 merge; post-#1799 close)
- S11 (Slice C): smart-ram-167 (post-#1795 + #1801 merge)
- S3 implementation: valiant-ant-72 (post-S3 design)

Mgr-tier authoring queue (Substrate Mgr): S1 + S2 + S3 + S9 + brief
packets for S6/S10/S11/S7. Surfaces ratification needs to PM/Director
queue as canvases land.

Net: §1 dispatch matrix now reflects Substrate Mgr's lane-knowledge
corrections. Substrate is the first Mgr to engage substantively with
the design schedule + provide partition response — exactly the pattern
the schedule was meant to enable (Mgrs partition + dispatch without
PM micro-management).

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

* docs(r3): absorb Verification Mgr §2 partition — 3-track worker partition + V6 ACTIVE

Per Verification Mgr partition response at gunbc#846 #issuecomment-4385074816.
Second Mgr to engage substantively with design schedule.

§2 header updated with 3-track worker partition table:
- Track A (executable/ledger): bold-crane-790 — V1 (TC1 hold pending
  Q-PAFS + EVAL-3) + V6 (active)
- Track B (corpus/demos/data): cool-heron-521 — V2 + V4 + V5 (post-R2-
  Evaluator-gated; prep now via design + skeleton)
- Track C (Mgr-reserved/cross-lane): cool-owl-579 (Mgr) — V3 (post-
  cascade) + V7 (hold pending Director Q-ValueBody-Isomorphism scope)

V6 marked ACTIVE — only Verification item proceeding without Director
hold. Worker pin: bold-crane-790.

V1 TC1 + V7 surface to PM/Director queue (Q-PAFS countersign +
Q-ValueBody-Isomorphism scope).

V2/V4/V5 prep-now framing: design + skeleton hardening where Shape A /
Evaluator deps allow; "no false CONSUMER_LANDED" discipline. Per-claim
gate mapping to §1.8 ledger rows #43-#52 (V5) / #84-#87 (V4) / #74 (V4
demonstration).

Net: §2 dispatch matrix now reflects Verification Mgr's lane-specific
partition. Both Substrate (§1) and Verification (§2) substantively
engaged with worker pins + ratification surfacing.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

* docs(r3): absorb Debt-Paydown Mgr §6 partition — DP2 IN-FLIGHT at PR #1807

Per Debt-Paydown Mgr partition response at gunbc#846 #issuecomment-4385074935.
Third Mgr to engage substantively.

§6 header carries partition table:
- DP1 (Q-Drift-Reconcile): DISPATCH-NOW; single worker thread; scope = one
  reconciliation PR for declaration_by_name + #1499 + CollectionOps drift
- DP2 (SG-0 CI gate): IN-FLIGHT at PR #1807 — scripts/check-pr-sg0-net-
  shrink-discipline.sh + workflow + template + ROADMAP. Closes §1.8 gate
  #75 pr_anticipation_discipline_ci_active. SUBSTANTIVE — this is the
  consumer-infrastructure-landing for the PR-anticipation gate.
- DP3 (velocity tripwire): CONTINUOUS — recurring report; no single
  landed event
- DP4 (closure-receipt cadence): CONTINUOUS — feeds r3_debt_paydown_zero_
  remaining Pass surface
- DP5 (#1566 rollup hygiene): HOLD pending DRAFT close

No §6 items currently Director-blocked; clean dispatch.

PR #1807 actively executing closes §1.8 gate #75 → CONSUMER_LANDED
status update flows through §1.8 ledger when PR #1807 merges.

Net: 3 of 6 Mgrs (Substrate + Verification + Debt-Paydown) substantively
engaged with design schedule + worker partition + ratification surfacing.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

* docs(r3): absorb PB Mgr §3 partition + ratify §2.2 sequencing as HARD DAG

Per PB Mgr partition response at gunbc#846 #issuecomment-4385075315.
Fourth Mgr to engage substantively + surface real PM ratification ask.

§3 header carries PB Mgr's worker partition table:
- P1 T-LensProducer-Retirement: sleek-eagle-514 (#1768) — lens_apply
  retirement design/audit receipts via PR #1805 path-1 + sub-briefs
- P1 parallel doc spine: zesty-ram-316 (#1769) — regen_lens audit via
  PR #1806 + Sub2/Sub3 brief threads
- P4 bridge appendix: warm-ant-877 (#1770) — grep/ledger hygiene against
  bridge_ledger.dag / r3_bridge_retirement_ledger_zero.dag / verification.dag
- P5 F2+F8: PB Mgr coordinates consumer-side with Substrate S12 owner
  (no duplicate PR unless PM ratifies co-author shape)
- P2 T-FixedPoint: HOLD until P1 + SG-0 zero per F1 sequencing
- P3 T-V2-Retirement: HOLD on broad ~79 .rs sweep until P2 + LP +
  Int<N> triggers clear

§2.2 sequencing authority RATIFIED as HARD DAG (PM disposition 2026-05-06):
Per PB Mgr's surface — "staffing parallelism vs hard DAG" question
explicitly resolved. r3-structure.md §"Lane structure" → T-FixedPoint row
names "R2-close dependency: SG-0 zero from T-LensProducer-Retirement" as
explicit dependency. SG-0 zero is structural precondition for T-FixedPoint
(bit-identical compile requires no remaining hand-Rust ratchet); not just
resource sequencing.

T-FixedPoint cannot complete until T-LP-Retirement completes. Plan §2.2
sequence is canonical authority on this; PB Mgr's HOLD on P2 is correct
discipline.

Net: 4 of 6 Mgrs (Substrate + Verification + Debt-Paydown + PB) engaged
substantively with worker pins + ratification surfacing. PB Mgr's HARD-DAG
ratification ask resolved inline.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

* docs(r3): absorb Grounding Mgr §5 partition — G4 DISPATCHED + G1/G2/G3/G5 HELD on Substrate cascade

Per Grounding Mgr partition response at gunbc#846 #issuecomment-4385080863.
Fifth Mgr to engage substantively.

§5 header carries Grounding Mgr's worker partition table. Clean dispatch
shape — Grounding lane is largely consumer of Substrate work, so most
items HELD until Substrate carriers land.

Partition:
- G1 L6 row population: HELD pending Substrate S6 EmissionPathProjection
- G2 T-Ground-Rust full coverage: HELD pending Substrate S7 PR-F + S8
  Float migration; #1783 remains draft as dispatch-guide staging artifact
- G3 Coercion-Fold scratch retirement: HELD pending LanguageSpec projection
- G4 F10 install_hint cleanup: DISPATCHED 2026-05-06 to silent-badger-711
  (#1774)
- G5 Anthropic #1702 re-dispatch: HELD pending Substrate S5 variant-aware
  projection + Q-Anthropic-Variant-Aware closure-scope

No PM/Director ratification needed; G4 dispatched cleanly. Other items
proceed when Substrate triggers land.

Net: 5 of 6 Mgrs (Substrate + Verification + Debt-Paydown + PB +
Grounding) substantively engaged. Pending: Evaluator only.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

* docs(r3): absorb Evaluator Mgr §4 partition — E1 DISPATCHED + E5 DONE; ALL 6 of 6 Mgrs engaged

Per Evaluator Mgr partition response at gunbc#846 #issuecomment-4385081532.
**Sixth and final Mgr to engage substantively** — all 6 of 6 R3 Mgrs now
have lane-specific worker partitions in design schedule.

§4 header carries Evaluator Mgr's worker partition table:
- E1 E6-G0d constructor execution: DISPATCHED 2026-05-06 to valiant-carp-10
  (#1767); evaluator-only src/v3/compiler/src/lib.rs; brief = #1784
- E2 E5 Descent termination contract consumer: HELD pending Substrate
  carrier landing (quick-koi/quick-crab path)
- E3 E6-G1.a static lens fold: HELD pending Director Q-PAFS /
  Q-EVAL-Lens-Fold-First-Slice countersignature
- E4 E6-G1.b generic dispatch: HELD post-G1.a + post-Substrate X1.b
- E5 X1.b S1 TransformDispatch coordination: DONE cross-lane status sent
  to Substrate (#1739)

Additional state notes:
- #1784 G0d brief green on fmt/ci/v3; self_host_ratchet in progress
  post-main merge — doesn't block E1 dispatch (brief stable + approved)
- #1799 E5 STOP packet green on fmt/ci/v3; held semantically behind
  Substrate termination contract
- warm-dove #1778 passing/held; existing PR needs Director/PM disposition

No PM/Director ratification needed for E1/E5. E3 still needs Director
countersignature.

Net: 6 of 6 Mgrs (Substrate / Verification / Debt-Paydown / PB / Grounding /
Evaluator) substantively engaged with design schedule. Concrete dispatches
in flight: G4 (silent-badger-711) + DP1 + DP2 (PR #1807) + E1 (valiant-
carp-10) + S5 (quiet-boar-160 in flight) + Substrate Mgr-tier authoring
queue (S1/S2/S3/S9). Cross-lane coord working: E5 → Substrate; G* → S*
trigger-cascade.

Engagement scoreboard: 100% of R3 Mgrs partitioned + dispatching per
schedule. PM micro-management overhead = zero per Mgr-tier dispatch
discipline.

* docs(r3): codex BLOCKING fixes — §S4 audit-first against extdeps.github.actions + §V1 Pattern-A 5th gate routed to T-CostLens

Fix 2 of 4 codex BLOCKING findings on PR #1810:

1. §S4 Workflow* family carriers (Class 4) — prepend existing-ontology audit
   prerequisite citing dsl/extdeps/github/actions.dag (218 lines, already
   declares Workflow / WorkflowTrigger / Job / Step / MatrixStrategy /
   RunnerSpec / WorkflowPermissions / ConcurrencySpec / DispatchInput).
   Reframe proposed carriers as audit targets / deltas, not fresh ontology;
   require Substrate Mgr audit-and-delta receipt before worker dispatch.
   Per feedback_audit_adjacent_authority_first + feedback_parallel_representation_debt.

2. §V1 Pattern-A executable cluster — fix count mismatch. Headline now says
   "4 NEW (DimensionReport-typed cluster) in V1"; explicit note that the 5th
   NEW Pattern-A gate (§1.8 #40 symbolic_cost_expr_equals_executable,
   SymbolicCost-typed) belongs to T-CostLens-Composition lane, not V1's TC
   cluster (per r3-program-plan.md:755 — different predicate family,
   distinct runner work). Closure-predicate citation updated accordingly.

Findings 1 (external PM ledger) + 2 (Mgr-canvas → lane authority) rebutted
on PR with grep evidence — both invalid.

…1702 re-dispatch enabler (#2164)

* WIP: Substrate S5: Variant-aware projection metadata carrier — Anthropic #170

* fix(s5): correct DeclarationRef import + refresh parse manifest

Mgr review BLOCKING (PR #2164):
- Import was `v3.spec.v3_l1 { DeclarationRef }` (empty record `{}`)
  but brief + Director's path-(a) ratification reference the
  `dsl/std/serialization.dag::DeclarationRef = String` alias.
- Switch to `import std.serialization { DeclarationRef }` to match
  the disposition'd shape.
- Inline doc-comment surfaces the two-co-existing-DeclarationRefs
  P2 concern as a separate substrate gap (likely folds into
  audit-row #14 module-convergence dissolution trigger).

Refresh `parse_corpus_manifest.txt` for the new
`src/v3/std/coproduct_projection.dag` file row (regenerated via
`cargo test -p v3-compiler refresh_handwritten_parse_snapshot_manifest -- --ignored`).

* fix(s5): regen bootstrap snapshot + name WireTagValue dissolution trigger

Two BLOCKING inline review findings on PR #2164:

1. **Bootstrap snapshot missing carrier** (line 41 finding) — P2 facts-
   flow-forward violation. Ran `cargo run -p v3-compiler --bin
   regen_bootstrap --features bootstrap-regen-fresh`; refreshes
   `bootstrap_generated.rs` + `bootstrap_generated_without_parse_surface.rs`
   + `bootstrap_std_generated.rs` so `CoproductProjection` is present
   for downstream consumers.

2. **WireTagValue 🟡 SCAFFOLD with "none" trigger** (line 67 finding) —
   INVARIANTS.md P5 violation. Replace "Dissolution trigger: none" with
   a named two-clause checkable trigger:
   (a) §1.8 gates #29-#30 close (closure-predicate consumers land), AND
   (b) at least one non-StringTag arm added in response to an observed
       wire surface, OR explicit Practice-4 closure receipt naming the
       substrate observation that all REST/LLM wire boundaries are
       string-shaped.
   Plus re-escalate-to-Mgr clause if a consumer surfaces a wire-tag
   shape StringTag cannot express.

* fix(s5): add CoproductProjection to bootstrap_authority + refresh manifest

CI failures on PR #2164 sha 4952323:
- `parse_stage4_prep::handwritten_parse_snapshot_matches_manifest`:
  stale hash for `coproduct_projection.dag` — manifest carried the
  pre-`e65efb82b` hash (before WireTagValue trigger expansion).
- `pb1_bootstrap_full_snapshot_test::bootstrap_authority_rows_match_full_bootstrap_source_files`:
  the new `src/v3/std/coproduct_projection.dag` was bundled by the
  build.rs std staging but missing from `bootstrap_authority.dag`'s
  authority map → P2 single-authority gap.

Fixes:
- Add `"src/v3/std/coproduct_projection.dag": V3StdAuthority` row
  (alphabetical between computation_model and cross_target_coverage).
- Re-run `regen_bootstrap` + `refresh_handwritten_parse_snapshot_manifest`
  so `bootstrap_generated*.rs` + `parse_corpus_manifest.txt` reflect the
  current carrier content + authority.

Both tests verified green locally.

* WIP: Substrate S5: Variant-aware projection metadata carrier — Anthropic #170

* fix(s5): resolve codex BLOCKING + lane2 stack overflow via typed DeclarationRef

Three concurrent findings on PR #2164 sha 0e18508:

1. **Codex BLOCKING** (sha 0e18508): `bootstrap_authority.dag` omits
   `dsl/std/serialization.dag`, so `import std.serialization {
   DeclarationRef }` cannot materialize the String-alias authority in
   generated snapshots → silent mis-resolution at bootstrap time.
2. **Codex non-blocking** (sha c9ebf46): `v3.spec.v3_l1::DeclarationRef`
   "resolves to a typed declaration reference" (not String); the
   debt-paydown row prose treating it as a String alias is incorrect.
3. **CI v3 lane2 stack overflow** (sha 0e18508): `lane2_stage_2d_
   symbolic_cost_test::branch_reports_constant_when_both_arms_constant`
   stack-overflows on the 2MB test-thread default after my carrier
   adds traversal pressure to the bootstrap; reproduces locally.

Resolution path (codex's option (b)): switch carrier to import the
structural typed `DeclarationRef` from `v3.spec.v3_l1` (already in
`V3SpecAuthority`, no authority gap), reverting Mgr's prior
`std.serialization` BLOCKING — the tri-way tension resolves cleanly:

- No bootstrap-authority gap (v3_l1 is already authoritative)
- No stack-budget regression (no new files added to bootstrap)
- Debt-paydown row retitled per codex non-blocking guidance:
  "unrefined-any-declaration handle" — same #1175 substrate gap
  classification as MethodRef (`methods.dag:31`) + CallableRef
  (`services.dag:86-100`); dissolution trigger is the shared
  refinement-typing-on-DeclarationRef landing.
- Inline doc-comment in carrier surfaces the tri-way tension and
  selection rationale for future readers.

Additional carrier reduction (separate from BLOCKINGs but absorbed in
this commit since it's the lane2 stack-overflow root cause):
- `FieldShape {}` removed; `FieldProjection.Fields { fields: Map<String,
  FieldShape> }` collapsed to `FieldProjection.Populated` placeholder.
  Defers populated-case detail to first paydown PR per Mgr-disposed
  sliced-follow-up; same Practice-4 SCAFFOLD discipline.

Gate 3 (i) trivial in-PR demo (Mgr-disposed at #2154 c#4400893282)
attempted via `data anthropic_chat_message_projection: CoproductProjection`
but blocked by DSL parser limitation: `Map<K, Record>` literals are
not supported in `src/v3/std/` layer (zero precedent; tried both inline
records and ident-reference values, both surfaced
`expected field label, got StringLit("UserMessage")` parse errors).
Surfaced as substrate-tooling gap; gate 3 reverts to (ii) defer-to-
first-paydown disposition. Inline doc-comment in carrier captures the
parser limitation for the lane.

All gates green locally:
- `cargo run regen_bootstrap` ✓
- `cargo test refresh_handwritten_parse_snapshot_manifest --ignored` ✓
- `parse_stage4_prep::handwritten_parse_snapshot_matches_manifest` ✓
- `pb1_bootstrap_full_snapshot_test` 8/8 ✓
- `lane2_stage_2d_symbolic_cost_test::branch_reports_constant_when_both_arms_constant` ✓ (no overflow)

* fix(s5): single-authority debt prose — remove stale String-alias references

gpt-5-5-pro REQUEST_CHANGES on PR #2164 sha 6de6a4d (BLOCKING):
substrate scaffolds need a single live authority for what is debt and
what dissolves it. After the import-switch to typed v3.spec.v3_l1
DeclarationRef, several comments still described the prior String-alias
disposition, and `VariantId`'s dissolution trigger named an audit-row
#14 OR string-bridge OR-trigger that conflicted with the ledger's new
shared-with-#1175 trigger.

Fixes:
1. **Top-of-file "DeclarationRef alias debt" block** (was: "DeclarationRef
   = String alias accepted for this slice; ... 2-clause OR-trigger
   audit-row #14 OR string-bridge"): retitled "DeclarationRef debt —
   unrefined-any-declaration handle"; describes the typed-import path
   and shared #1175 dissolution.
2. **`VariantId` SCAFFOLD trigger** (was: "(a) audit-row #14 closes
   module-convergence OR (b) string-identity-bridge surfaces"):
   rewritten to single-authority shared-#1175 trigger paired with
   `DeclarationRef` ledger row — no separate OR-trigger applies; the
   carrier-level dissolution is single-keyed on #1175.
3. **`CoproductProjection.declaration` doc** (was: "carries the
   `DeclarationRef = String` alias soft-typed handle per Director
   observation #1 disposition (b)"): rewritten to describe the
   structural typed reference + shared #1175 trigger.

Remaining mention of "`DeclarationRef = String` alias" at the import-
site comment is intentional historical context — it explains what was
rejected (and why) in the selection rationale; not a current-state
characterization of the carrier.

All local gates green post-fix:
- `regen_bootstrap` ✓ + manifest refresh ✓
- `parse_stage4_prep::handwritten_parse_snapshot_matches_manifest` ✓
- `lane2_stage_2d_symbolic_cost_test::branch_reports_constant_when_both_arms_constant` ✓

* WIP: Substrate S5: Variant-aware projection metadata carrier — Anthropic #170

* fix(s5): bump lane2 symbolic-cost test stack to 8MB; restore FieldProjection

Post-merge of main (commit f29f34c brought in 36 lines of dsl/std/integer.dag
+ extdeps changes) re-triggered lane2_stage_2d_symbolic_cost_test::
branch_reports_constant_when_both_arms_constant stack overflow that had
been resolved at sha 0998705. Carrier-shape reduction alone could not
keep this PR under the 2MB cliff after the merge.

**Substrate-tooling fix**: apply the existing 8MB-stack-thread
precedent (m2_substrate_inhabitance_test.rs:23-35's
`with_full_bootstrap_stack` pattern) to the failing test. The test's
existing doc-comment explicitly documents it as a ratchet exception
that pays a cold bootstrap+pipeline compile and is on the budget edge;
the named dissolution trigger ("cache bootstrap Dag state as input to
compile_to_dag") remains the load-bearing fix. Stack bump is the
cliff-edge workaround until that lands.

With the test-thread budget fixed, restore FieldProjection (`Empty |
Populated`) on `CoproductVariantProjection.field_projection` —
brings the carrier back to brief's path-(a)-ratified shape (per-
variant single-keyed fact: payload projection + wire-tag value).
Populated-case detail (typed `Map<String, FieldShape>` payload field
projection) still deferred to first paydown PR consumer per Mgr-
disposed sliced-follow-up.

Verified locally:
- regen_bootstrap ✓
- refresh_handwritten_parse_snapshot_manifest ✓
- parse_stage4_prep::handwritten_parse_snapshot_matches_manifest ✓
- pb1_bootstrap_full_snapshot_test 8/8 ✓
- lane2_stage_2d_symbolic_cost_test::branch_reports_constant_when_both_arms_constant ✓ (no overflow)

* docs(s5): disambiguate debt-row PR reference per cursor exploratory

cursor/composer-2 sha f29f34c exploratory note flagged that the
debt-paydown row's 'PR introducing #1947' phrasing was ambiguous;
clarified to 'PR #2164, closing #1947' since #1947 is the
work-item issue and #2164 is the PR ID.

Authored against current main (squash-author per Mgr disposition (b2) at
gunbc#2063 c#4403150939). Preserved branch
`origin/codex/cc1-target-integer-structural-fold` is the design reference;
its 3 cited tip commits were not self-contained — the underlying
`AnthropicMessages200ContentBlock` coproduct was introduced by earlier
preserved-branch commits not in the cited set, so a history-preserving
rebase was infeasible.

v2 source `dsl/extdeps/llm/anthropic.dag`:
- Replace `AnthropicMessages200TextBlock` record with
  `AnthropicMessages200ContentBlock` coproduct (6 variants:
  MessagesTextBlock | MessagesThinkingBlock | MessagesRedactedThinkingBlock
  | MessagesToolUseBlock | MessagesServerToolUseBlock |
  MessagesWebSearchToolResultBlock).
- Add `AnthropicServerToolName` enum (8 variants from Anthropic's
  generated OpenAPI SDK).
- Update `AnthropicMessages200Body.content: List<AnthropicMessages200ContentBlock>`.
- Add `anthropic_messages_200_content_block_wire_contract` row.
- Refresh `structural_coverage_gap_anthropic_messages_200_residual` rows
  to track post-coproduct residuals.

v3 mirror `src/v3/std/anthropic_schema.dag`:
- Mirror coproduct + enum. `MessagesRedactedThinkingBlock.data` is mirrored
  as `redacted_data` (data is a v3 keyword); the lockstep ratchet maps
  that single label.

Lockstep test `src/v3/compiler/tests/integration/anthropic_schema_lockstep_test.rs`:
- New `assert_anthropic_disj_lockstep` helper applies the
  `data → redacted_data` label remap before disj-lockstep comparison.
- Replace `anthropic_messages_200_text_block_lockstep` with
  `anthropic_messages_200_content_block_lockstep`.
- New `anthropic_server_tool_name_lockstep`.

Bootstrap regen + parse manifest refresh follow.

§1.8 ledger: gates #29 (anthropic_wire_typed_serde_alignment) + #30
(anthropic_unit_enum_role_serialization_correct) advance via schema-mirror
+ lockstep extension. Gate #68 demonstration deferred to follow-up
(deterministic-mock test not in scope per Mgr discretion).

* Address PR review: add caller: Json? to MessagesWebSearchToolResultBlock

Anthropic's Messages API reference lists web_search_tool_result with caller
alongside content/tool_use_id/type. The initial scaffold dropped it. Add
caller: Json? on both v2 source and v3 mirror; extend the residual row to
track the caller-payload typing alongside the content-payload typing.

* Soften scaffold comment: variant-aware projection is tracked debt, not pre-merge gate

Per PR review (gpt-5-5-pro exploratory observation): the scaffold trigger
comment said "before this draft can merge" while the residual row at
:208-213 already tracks the same item as tracked debt with an explicit
trigger. Reword to point at the residual list rather than implying a
pre-merge gate.
