Fix paths to refer to $USER_HOME and explain that absolute paths are required in env variables. This is necessary on Mac OS for the plugin to work.

Normalizes all path references to credential files to use
$USER_HOMEand clarifies the documentation accordingly. Also clarifies that absolute paths are required. Without this, the plugin does not start on Mac OS.
