## Motivation <!-- Explain the purpose of this PR and the goals it aims to achieve. --> `ROCprofiler-SDK`'s #6276 has made a CI warning that would previously crash some `selective-region` tests non-fatal. Explanation
By switching from sprintf to snprintf and specifying sizeof(file_name), we ensure that no more characters are written than the buffer can hold, thereby preventing a potential buffer overflow.
