We had a handful of people join.

We did not heavily publicize this one.

Discussion topics:

Sandbox Gitcoin update Hackathon wrap up Going forward organization

  • bounties
  • work groups
  • standardizing ODC Jedi & inviting others

SANDBOX:

  • Stefi blog - provide feedback
  • We want a handful of projects in the Sandbox asap
  • Question - what about the waiting room / a relatively permissionless approach?
    • we want to have something similar to other projects where it just takes a PR to added
    • side note - we currently don't have the Landscape being added to very frequently - that flywheel needs work
  • Answer - look at the Miro board and see if that process makes sense
    • do we need to have a totally separate organization?
    • how exactly does the CNCF do it?
  • Question - licensing?
    • we probably want to be careful - this is a major decision - both whether to pick a specific license we push and then which license to standardize
  • Question - we have discussed projects that progress - however what about those that are abandoned? upon
  • Time line - we want projects invited asap and want to standardize and accelerate support for them
  • Passport - a dashboard that potentially fits with passport could be useful

Gitcoin:

  • Some sense of awareness within Gitcoin = possibly - of the necessity of having Sybil resistance & overall something like the ODC
    • especially as the FDD within Gitcoin is disbanding
  • epowell101 will be at Gitcoin retreat before Eth Denver

Hackathon wrap up:

  • NFT or POAP - asap
  • everyone that has contributed should receive
  • we could then try something like a Snapshot vote
  • Critical path -> design for the NFT and POAP -> who wants to help on this?
  • CELEBRATION - some ideas about having a celebration soon -> maybe when we send out the NFTs / POAPs

Governance - what's next?

  • emergent governance -> ODC Jedi standardization
  • ask everyone to vote for something soon - such as nomination / confirmation of next ODC members
  • work groups are how we are organizing ourselves currently
  • the founding sponsors will have - if they want them - governance rights

Events and outreach

  • as a part of the outreach workgroup, epowell101 published a list of eth and other events
  • epowell101 said he will look at budget and propose to the ODC Jedi & community an approach - if the budget allows such as:
    • every ODC member that gets a talk accepted at an approved event will be able to receive some budget
    • "speaker promotion" - we then tweet about these talks, suggest folks get together IRL and so on
