[Chore] docker: Add Beam CUDA image (1/8) - #45253
Merged
Merged
Conversation
Add a Beam serving image on top of the v0.5.22 release image. It clones the upstream beam branch and adds the pins that branch needs, without changing docker/Dockerfile. Split from #44747.
This was referenced Oct 19, 2026
Beam serving does not use Dynamo, and the v0.5.22 release already resolves grpcio-tools 1.84.0. The pins move to their own PR so they can be dropped without touching this layer.

Motivation
Split #44747 into reviewable parts. This is the Beam CUDA Docker image part, position 1 of 8 in the merge order below. Its branch starts from #44747's merge base with main. No other part depends on it or includes it.
Modifications
Adds
docker/beam/beam.Dockerfile, a Beam serving image on top oflmsysorg/sglang:v0.5.22, followingdocker/muse_spark/muse-spark.Dockerfile. It clones the upstreambeambranch (pin a commit withBEAM_REF) and installs it without dependencies. It then adds the two pins that branch needs on top of the release: OpenAI 2.8.0 for the Responses shell types andnvidia-cuda-tileiras13.4.92 for the cuTile router GEMM. The Dynamo andgrpcio-toolspins moved to #45292.docker/Dockerfileis not changed by any part. This image is a stopgap: delete it once Beam runs from the main image. This part changes 1 file (+31 / -0) beyond the parts its branch carries.
Validation
f7473673dd) without modifying thebeambranch, which stays the reference. Every branch starts from [Feat] beam: Add native Beam serving support #44747's merge base with main (5bcaf0f8ed, Oct 13); the parts have not yet been synced with current main.28448a86d4: none.sglang-miles) and Beam LoRA serving (10 files plus the LoRA hunks in 3 files) are left out, the five platform pyprojects keep OpenAI 2.6.1, anddocker/beam/beam.Dockerfileis added. No other path differs.docker/Dockerfile.environ.pyis split by hunk. Every changed Python file in this part parses.docker buildx build --checkpasses. The image builds on arm64 and amd64, and its exact environment serves Beam on GB300 and H200. Intermediate parts make no claim of standalone Beam serving validation; the recorded accuracy and performance results are in [Feat] beam: Add native Beam serving support #44747.Merge order
Every part targets
main. #44747 stays open, unchanged, as the full reference. Merge in this order:nvidia-cuda-tileiras, needed by [Perf] beam: Add optional cuTile BF16x3 router GEMM #45361#45292 (Dynamo and
grpcio-toolspins for the Beam image) is not in the merge order for now.🤖 Generated with Claude Code
