Top section

The top section aims to provide context on what object is being inspected, and the context in which this object exists. Said context also serves as clickable links to jump to, e.g., enclosing objects.

• Rework how the selected item title is displayed in the Selection Panel #4159
• Display the parent item in a consistent way in the Selection Panel #4288
• breadcrumbs: Add breadcrumbs to the selection panel #4491
• The enclosing context for "space-view" entities should offer links to both the "producing" data group and the space view itself.

Workflow

•  new add workflow: New container/space view addition workflow #4492
• update icons: Update Space View/Container/Visualizer icons to represent both type and sub-type #4321
• Use the new modal with the blueprint panel "+" button #4652

Styling

• Buttons don't look like buttons
• Add an explicit "Name" field to Selection Panel when object can be renamed (space view) #4160
• Use the ListItem style for the component list (in the Selection Panel when an entity is selected) #4161
• Stretch goal: the list of components should be hierarchical and display a preview of the component's content.

Blueprint section content

• Remove the "Blueprint" section for things that are outside blueprints (ie. "non-space-view" entities, and components) (likely side-effect of Rework how the selected item title is displayed in the Selection Panel #4159)
• Space Views should have the same "Visible"/"Interactive" check box as every other objects.
• the "Show origin axes"/"Show bounding box"/"Show accumulated bounding box" should also be offered for 2D space views

Containers

• container GC too aggressive: The Viewport Container simplification is too aggressive to support an additive workflow #4493
• Make containers selectable and inspectable in the Selection Panel #4162
• Grid containers would benefit from editable parameters

Long term

• Displayed "merged" view of multi-selection in the selection panel #4251
