Hi, my name is Amar Singh. I am a developer on the Moonbeam team.
I joined the Polkadot ecosystem in 2019 when I joined Parity. I couldn't code, but was motivated to learn. I worked on the Substrate Developer Experience team; my contributions were primarily documentation/tutorials via the Substrate Recipes.
Earliest trivial PR was
srml/consensusdocumentation. Earliest nontrivial PR added a slow adjusting fee mechanism. In 2020, I worked on Sunshine, a governance platform built with substrate. Our team earned 2 grants from the Web3 Foundation and placed 3rd in Hackusama.
More recently, I joined the Moonbeam team in December 2020. Since joining, I've helped onboard developers to Substrate. Internal collaboration has enabled the team to debug issues as well as report and fix them upstream.
Notable PRs:
I've also written a DPoS pallet used by parachains such as Moon{beam, river} and Mangata Finance. Kilt forked it.
My PRs:
I apply to I DAN.
