… (T036) The R7 table was provisional: it named a seam per file from the 2026-09-07 inventory and left the four files the 2026-09-08 refresh added undecided. Reading all of them at 6724210 - eighteen now, with probes/claude.mjs, which C4 grew from 478 to 539 - shows the plan's promise of five splits closing five findings does not hold. startLifecycleTui is 41 NLOC of isolated-user.mjs's 1,952 and the fixture generator's data tables are 65 lines of 1,817, so those extractions leave the file as far over the bound as before. FR-016 decides whether a file is split, on concerns and cycles. Whether the finding closes is a second question the size after the split answers, and the table now keeps them apart. Batch D splits the six files where one extraction of a genuinely separate concern also brings the file under 500: src/worker/batches.ts (spool recovery, 152 NLOC out, about 418 left), src/observer/classify.ts (the apply path, 251 out, about 380), src/observer/llm.ts (API error classification with the prompt builders, about 450), src/setup/setup.ts (the display helpers doctor.ts already imports, about 480), scripts/e2e/probes/pi.mjs (the error-log probe, about 470) and scripts/e2e/probes/claude.mjs (the TUI compaction driver, about 463). Every figure is pipx run lizard on 6724210, the tool Codacy runs. The other twelve are resolved, each with the reason it earns rather than one sentence repeated. capture.ts and observe.ts are one concern seen from two sides and would need three or four modules to cross 500, on the hook path where a C2 sample measured 301.3 ms against the 300 ms budget. replay.ts, isolated-user.mjs and generate-1000-events.mjs are single drivers whose orchestration would end up scattered across four files each. The probe suites and the launch table are one concern apiece, and inject.ts and pack.ts are one assembly over the same PackItem. T037 becomes the six extractions, T038 the check that each lands under 500 without an import cycle - applyObservations calls rejectsDirectives, so re-exporting from classify.ts would make classify to apply to classify a cycle - and T039 drops the lifecycle-TUI dogfood leg it no longer needs and adds the probe suites that do move. …ut of each (batch D) Extraction only: every moved function keeps its name, signature and body, no assertion changed, and each importer points at the new module rather than the old one re-exporting it. src/worker/batches.ts 570 -> 411 spool recovery -> src/worker/spool-recovery.ts (164) src/observer/classify.ts 648 -> 374 the apply path -> src/observer/apply.ts (282) src/observer/llm.ts 595 -> 483 API error classification -> src/observer/llm-errors.ts (114) src/setup/setup.ts 508 -> 472 the display helpers -> src/setup/report.ts (38) scripts/e2e/probes/pi.mjs 566 -> 463 the error-log probe -> probe-lib/pi-errors.mjs (116) probes/claude.mjs 539 -> 450 the TUI compaction driver -> probe-lib/claude-tui.mjs (89) All twelve figures are pipx run lizard on this tree, the tool Codacy runs, and all twelve are under the 500-line bound. INSERT_MEMORY and INSERT_SOURCE stay in classify.ts because the session summary that stays there also uses them; apply.ts imports them along with rejectsDirectives, and classify.ts imports nothing from apply.ts, so the dependency is one-way. The three call sites of applyObservations (src/worker/observe.ts and two test files) import it from apply.ts. The two harness helpers live in scripts/e2e/probe-lib/ rather than in probes/, because probe-contracts.mjs loads every .mjs in probes/ and requires each one to export probes[]. Putting them beside the probes would have meant either naming them in a skip list that the next helper would have to be added to, or weakening that guard. Checks on this tree: npm run typecheck, npm run lint, npm test (188 pass), node --test scripts/e2e/**/*.test.mjs (87 pass), and lizard reporting no function over 50 NLOC or 8 parameters that was not over before (responseBodyCode's CCN 17 is unchanged and predates this batch). Reviewer's GuideBatch D resolves 18 Codacy file-length findings by extracting six independently testable concerns into focused modules, updating all consumers without re-exports, and documenting twelve measured cohesive-module exceptions; the recorded verification passes typecheck, lint, unit/E2E tests, Lizard thresholds, and cycle checks, while resource and candidate-bundle dogfood remain required before merge. …sition (T040) Six rows are fixed #185, one per file this batch split. The other twelve are resolved with Codacy reason AcceptedUse, and each carries its own file's reason rather than one sentence repeated: capture.ts and observe.ts are the hook path seen from two sides, where crossing 500 needs three or four modules on the path a batch C sample measured at 301.3 ms against the 300 ms budget; replay.ts, isolated-user.mjs and generate-1000-events.mjs are single drivers whose named seams are 150, 41 and 65 lines of the 1,600, 1,450 and 1,320 that would have to move; the probe suites and the launch table are one concern apiece; and inject.ts and pack.ts are one assembly over the same PackItem. With these rows the record reads open 0 on both services: all 721 inventory ids now have a disposition, and --check --planned reports 0 missing, 0 open, 0 unknown and 0 resolved-without-reason. …038) The R7 table's estimates are replaced by the figures from the tree: 411, 374, 483, 472, 463 and 450 for the six files, and 164, 282, 114, 38, 116 and 89 for the modules that came out of them. llm.ts crossed without needing the prompt builders the table had allowed for, and classify.ts keeps INSERT_MEMORY and INSERT_SOURCE because the session summary that stays there also uses them. Retargeting PR #190 onto main (after #185 merged) surfaced the US6 sort calls as new code, failing new_reliability_rating (4). Fix the flagged issues; all changes are behavior-preserving. - S2871: give every bare Array.prototype.sort() an explicit comparator. Each sorted array is strings (revision ids, origin ids, sensitivity classes, bundle filenames), so compareCodeUnits produces the same UTF-16 code-unit order the default sort already used — the source-head selection stays replica-independent, and the consent-hash class order is unchanged. Sites: apply.ts (head selection x2), capture.ts (retired groups), status.ts (consent classes x2), space.ts (consent classes, bundle names). - S1751: rewrite the first-of-iterable helper with array destructuring instead of a for-of that returns on the first element. typecheck, lint and the sync suite stay green. Twelve findings in `src/sync/`, all fixed and pinned by Claude Code; the three re-surfaced convergence findings stay on #196/#197 and the non-sync findings are filed as #199, #200 and #201. The handoff also records that #185 merged and that `dco` needs the sign-off in the final trailer paragraph. …e the Sonar burst Deleting `applyCodacy`'s pre-read last commit was right — Codacy's search reports only the current analysed commit, so absence never proved an ignore. But the pre-read also carried the only path that let a run continue past an id the service will not accept, so one bad id aborted all 27 remaining rows. `applySonar`, rewritten in this same pull request, had been given the opposite contract, which is how the asymmetry showed up: one service collects refusals and finishes, the other stops dead. `applyCodacy` now mirrors it. A 404 means the service no longer holds that issue record, so the row is refused by name and the run continues; an auth or server error still aborts immediately, because continuing would print a refusal line for every remaining row and bury the real cause. One error at the end names the refused count and ids. `request` attaches the status to the error it throws so the two cases can be told apart. The `invalid` group added last commit wrapped too much. `liveKey` ran before the id-level classifications, so a finding whose comparison field could not be read was recorded as invalid and never tested against the inventory — even though the `uncovered` test reads only the id. A live Codacy finding with `filePath: null`, or a Sonar project-level component, was therefore missing from `uncovered` until someone fixed the field and re-ran, and the committed test asserted that drop. The id-level verdicts now happen outside the try and only the triple half is guarded. `checkLive` stays at cognitive complexity 12. `sonarIssueStates` sent its chunks of 100 with no spacing, and the first `do_transition` followed the last GET with no gap, against an endpoint the rest of the file deliberately spaces at 200 ms — and the suite already has a 429 case, so a regression would have surfaced as a flaky HTTP failure rather than a missing-pause assertion. One module counter now spaces every request of a run, which also retires `applySonarCalls`'s `firstCall` parameter: the spacing no longer depends on the caller reassigning a returned boolean, and the function drops to five parameters. An earlier round kept that round trip on taste with no defect attached; this round supplies the defect, so the counter wins. `checkLive` was also the only ledger reader that trusted rows without `validateInventory`, so two rows for one id — one confirmed `fixed`, one `open` — could report a live finding as contradicted on the strength of a row `--check` calls a duplicate. It validates now, like the other three readers. Four numbers in the record disagreed with the measurement, all re-derived from the ledger and a live `--check-live` run: - the closing table said Codacy `28 (25 confirmed, 3 still open)`; of the 28 inventory ids among the 240 live findings, 23 are `resolved` and confirmed, 4 are `fixed` and confirmed and 1 is `excluded` and unconfirmed, so it reads 27 and 1 — which is also what `--check` prints eight rows below; - "Three of the Codacy ones are inventory ids whose rows are confirmed `fixed`" was four, and only two were named: `77635429…` (#166), `188840d7…` (#165), `6d0b78f8…` (#185) and `7d9b63ea…` (#185); - "All 27 `resolved` Codacy rows have HTTP 204 receipts" understated the population, which is 29: 27 from this batch's calls and 2 from batch D's; - the documented pre-merge lizard command omitted the changed file nearest the bound, `quality-debt-record-services.test.mjs` at 489 NLOC against 500, while listing every other one. It now measures all seven. That file is 491 after this commit's tests, so the check it was missing from is the one that will catch it first. The record claimed the `contradicted` group means this shape "cannot pass unnoticed again", but nothing runs it: no CI step, no cron, no npm script, and the next sentence correctly explains the mode must stay manual while 460 findings sit outside the inventory. The claim is now what is true — the detector exists and the round that owns those findings runs it — and the scheduled reader is filed as #223, blocked on #207. Adding the gate here would be a new gate this batch cannot make pass. Declined: a diagnostic for SonarCloud dropping `resolution` while keeping `status`. The live API still returns both deprecated fields, the behaviour is fail-closed, and writing a message for a removal that has not happened is speculation — the same ground the `issueStatus` fallback was declined on. 236 tests pass, ESLint is clean, lizard reports no threshold exceeded across all seven scripts, `--check --planned` exits 0, the record regenerates byte-identically, and markdownlint reports 0 issues. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01AE2rTT251FvrN4L3wUqwF3 Signed-off-by: ojungo69 <210335670+ojungo69@users.noreply.github.com>
The delta review of 9e6ce79..879c465 verified every number in that commit and then found eleven semantic defects, two of them blocking. Both blocking ones came from the same root: the completion criterion had been written out in five places while the exception that two rows depend on lived in a sixth that none of them referenced. FR-002 is now the only place the criterion is stated in full, and it defines "confirmed" by pointing at the data model's field: an absence observed at a named analysis, a service action receipt (Codacy `PATCH`, Sonar resolution/comment), or, for regrowth handed to #207 whose absence was never observed, the R11 before/after measurement tied to the earlier closing SHA. SC-001 and SC-002 measure FR-002 instead of restating it, research R3 points at it as the prerequisite it is, and the round 7 audit says outright that FR-002 is authoritative and the audit only summarises it. Before this, FR-002 required every one of the 745 rows to be "closed on `main` or confirmed against a named analysis", which two rows cannot satisfy: `6d0b78f8…` and `7d9b63ea…` are live at `33f8c382` and their confirmation is a measurement, not an analysis id. The criterion was unsatisfiable as written, and adding the carve-out correctly would have meant editing five documents. The paragraph explaining Codacy's silence said three things that are not true. It claimed `fixed`/`excluded` states unconditionally mean the named analysis did not report the finding; that is what they mean only when the absence was observed. It claimed `verifyCodacyCommit` runs "before any row is stamped", which is false for the two rows stamped by hand: `isConfirmed` is a non-blank string test and `confirmLedger` filters already-confirmed rows out before verification, so a hand-recorded measurement never reaches it. And it implied that any row whose finding regrows carries the R11 measurement, which would have a reader reject two correctly-stamped rows. The four confirmed `fixed` Codacy rows in `contradicted` split two ways, and the paragraph now names both pairs: `188840d7…` (#165) and `77635429…` (#166) keep their observed-absence receipt at `67242108`, because later regrowth does not erase what that analysis observed; `6d0b78f8…` and `7d9b63ea…` (both #185) use the permitted measurement because the current-commit search already reported them regrown. The rest are one-clause corrections. The `checkLive` comment now says a triple claims the rule no longer fires only when every inventory row in it is confirmed `fixed`/`excluded`, matching `liveClaims`' AND-fold and what quickstart.md already stated; the previous wording dropped that qualifier. The `history` requirement says plainly that `--check` enforces neither a missing entry nor a malformed one and that the reader is filed as #223, rather than stating a MUST nothing reads. The 2026-09-09 inventory addition is credited to T030a, which the record has always said, not to T036, which is the seam-table task and adds no rows; the wrong attribution had been copied into four more places, and the additions now read T030a 14 plus T043e 24. The `file`, `line` rule names an export commit for all 745 rows instead of 720, adding `67242108` for the 2026-09-09 row and `ebe687dc` for the 24 from PR #185. The record's three Codacy counts at checkpoint C4 are labelled for what each one measures — the live subset awaiting F's service work (15 Sonar, 20 Codacy), the planned rows to send (15 Sonar, 23 Codacy), and the calls F actually made (10 Sonar, 27 Codacy) — so they can be reconciled instead of read as a contradiction. plan.md's inventory path has its `# new:` marker back. The scope amendment's dated note moved after the active requirement it had been inserted into the middle of, which is the convention the audit itself sets. The audit's claim to be a "full inspection list" is narrowed to the completion statements it actually tabulates. One review finding was declined: the five `history` entries share their `why` prose, but each row's `id` column identifies which finding it belongs to, which is why the entry shape does not repeat it. Gates, each read from its own exit code: 236 record CLI tests pass with 0 failures, ESLint clean, lizard reports no threshold exceeded, markdownlint reports 0 issues in 15 files, `--check --planned` exits 0 with `745 ids: 0 missing, 0 duplicate, 0 open, 1 unconfirmed`, the record regenerates byte-identically, and `git diff --check` is clean. Round 8 re-attributed the 2026-09-09 inventory addition to T030a. That was wrong, and so was the "14" it carried. `git log --follow` on the two inventory JSON files gives the whole history: `c0ed2500` froze 310 Sonar and 397 Codacy rows from `5e03d67f`; `d8760a55` appended the 13 Codacy rows of the T030a note; `7c1622b6` appended one more (`16267458…`, `scripts/e2e/probes/claude.mjs` grown 478 to 539 NLOC by C4) and allocated it to batch D, which is why D became 18 ids; `c8fb5d7c` appended PR #185's eleven Sonar and two Codacy findings; `c9a9e585` appended the eleven push-branch Sonar ids. No task owns `7c1622b6`'s row, so the fix is to cite commits, not tasks. data-model.md gains an Inventory provenance table holding that history, and it is now the only place that states the per-commit split. spec.md, plan.md, quickstart.md and the record drop their own counts and attributions and point at it. FR-002 had glossed the three receipt kinds as free alternatives for any row, while the definition it cited binds each one to a state: a `resolved` Codacy row "confirmed" by an unobserved absence satisfied the requirement as written. It now delegates to that definition for the row's own state, drops the "confirmed against a named analysis" phrase that pre-empted the defined term, and carries the #207 attribution obligation the documents pointing at it rely on. Two claims were measured rather than restated. The round 7 audit tabulates 129 statements, not the 119 the verification report cited (149 table lines minus 10 separators and 10 headers), and its T044 row no longer says the sweep completed in `879c4652`, which two later commits falsified. The record's four checkpoint quantities move out of a 1,900-character prose line into a labelled table, with the Sonar column stating all 32 `resolved` rows rather than only F's 10 calls. Two edits round 8 wrote into the round 7 audit are reverted, because that file is a snapshot of `9e6ce79b`: the line declaring FR-002 authoritative contradicted the summary below it, which says "service evidence" and was accurate at that baseline before FR-002 grew a third receipt kind, and a verdict cell had been rewritten to narrate round 8. A header line now says the audit reads that baseline and points at FR-002 for the criterion as it stands. `--check`'s description listed four of its eight failure classes as though the list were complete, and did not mention that `--check --planned` tolerates an unconfirmed row. The `confirmed` field records that it accepts any non-blank string, so the CLI cannot tell a receipt from a hand-recorded measurement; a distinct shape for measured closures is issue #224. Issue #223 gains the `history` field, whose recording requirement has no automated reader either. Batch D separates the independently testable capture, worker, injection, replay and harness concerns required by FR-016 while preserving existing function bodies, assertions, probe order and fixture bytes. The original eighteen file-length findings now have thirteen fixes and five cohesive residuals; the two new lifecycle modules are also individually assessed and recorded.
The follow-up records all newly issued analysis IDs and uses the existing security classifier for Sonar S4036/S8707 in both allocation and mandatory-verdict validation. Unknown rules still stay unallocated. The inventory contains 745 IDs (332 Sonar, 413 Codacy), with 56 unconfirmed original Batch F/D rows.
Runtime acceptance remains unmet; this PR is not ready to merge. Source/spec review is complete, but both replays recall 7/40 facts (17.5%) against 90%, and Grok's usage-balance exhaustion prevents the required twelve-pair dogfood run. No numeric bound or runtime behavior was changed to make a gate pass.

Resource comparison
Both revisions were freshly installed/built in separate Git checkouts. The ordinary commands ran serially on Node 24.16.0 within one hour, after local tests and native-agent probes finished. Both cold-start commands exit 0; both replays exit 1 solely for SC-009 recall. All 32 timing comparisons meet the median/maximum criteria and the fixed budgets, and both worker RSS bounds pass. Full run metadata, comparison table and replay JSON outputs.

A separate diagnostic on the unchanged earlier bundle made 79 Workers AI calls but recalled only 8/40 facts and peaked at 150.6 MiB; it also exposed incomplete-worker, lease and scoring problems. Diagnostic evidence and limits. A separately reviewed behavior correction is required before provider-backed replay can serve as acceptance evidence.
Individual analysis dispositions
The eleven new Sonar PR IDs and their eleven matching push-branch IDs, two Codacy lifecycle IDs and two CodeQL test-harness alerts were read against their sources and pre-extraction bodies. Reasons and HTTP receipts are recorded; no analysis rule, tool or gate was disabled. Sonar's PR and push-branch issue searches return zero and both gates are OK; Codacy's c8fb5d7 analysis confirms new issues 0 and isUpToStandards true. Original Batch F bulk actions were not run: main still reports Sonar 15 / Codacy 38.
Earlier b05f73c9 measurements and failed dogfood remain preserved and are not presented as evidence for the new candidate.
