feat(clients): add native Command Code integration and catalog sync (carry #3833) - #6728
Conversation
Add Command Code as an export target and managed file integration. Support ~/.commandcode/providers.json export, loopback API key placeholder, CLI commands (ocx commandcode / ocx cmd), and catalog sync.
…ide it ignores Both P2 compatibility defects from the exact-head review, verified against the published `command-code@1.66.0` bundle rather than assumed: 1. Root selection. The client reads `const o = e.provider ?? e.providers`, so a singular root wins whenever it exists. Writing `provider.opencodex` into a document that already carried `providers` left the user's own providers on disk, byte for byte, and invisible to the consumer. `commandCodeProviderRoot` now mirrors that grammar against the parsed target and the contribution is written under whichever root the file already uses; a fresh file still gets the singular root. Both roots are declared in CLIENT_MANAGED_PATHS so Disable can remove a block from either one. 2. Home resolution. `COMMANDCODE_HOME` does not appear anywhere in the shipped bundle; the client resolves `HOME ?? USERPROFILE` and appends `/.commandcode/providers.json`. Honouring the override would let Apply report success at a path Command Code never opens, with an empty model list and no error anywhere, so `commandCodeHomeDir` no longer reads it. Also: - correct the stale export hint, which still advertised the removed service-token `!cat` reference — the provider is written with `apiKey: false`; - document the integration in docs-site/guides/integrations.md and structure/clients/integrations.md; - new tests/clients/command-code-client-contract.test.ts states the client-side expressions it proves (root selection, home resolution, credential form) and exercises the before/after lifecycle through a real file on disk; - update two tests that asserted the removed override, and the sync fan-out assertion that predated Command Code joining it. Co-authored-by: CommandCodeBot <noreply@commandcode.ai>
Rebased onto dev 3bae88c. Upstream refactored contribution building into buildIntegrationContribution(), so the parsed target is now passed through that single builder (classify, plan and write agree) instead of a second call in mutation-plan. Keeps the droidReasoningDefaults context added on dev. Also add the three Command Code keys to the pt catalog that landed on dev, add commandcode to the owned-sync fan-out next to opencode and kilo, and condense the Command Code section of structure/clients/integrations.md so the doc stays within the 600-line budget.
…validation Preserve consumer provider ?? providers nullish precedence in commandCodeProviderRoot: a non-nullish singular value (string, array, boolean, number) remains selected so that the existing blocked-container guard refuses invalid established containers without mutating the document or creating unreachable plural blocks. Keep provider: null fallback. Add table-driven precedence contract tests and real-writer lifecycle regressions (refusal for string/array singular roots with zero journal entries, provider: null fallback, and full Apply -> Disable -> Undo on plural configs).
…Code in the docs Command Code resolves its provider store from HOME before USERPROFILE. On Windows os.homedir() reads only USERPROFILE, so a user whose HOME differs (Git for Windows, MSYS2, Cygwin, or set by hand) would get the provider block in a store the client never opens. commandCodeUserHome now mirrors the client for the OS-default home and keeps any injected home. The Connect guide, CLI reference, and Fast-row list in every locale now count eighteen clients and include Command Code. Co-authored-by: Rafael Moreira Lima <rrmlima@gmail.com>

✅ Deterministic PR hygiene checks passed. |
…disable Restore rebuilt the expected Command Code block without the restored document, so it always assumed the singular root. Undoing a disable on a file that keeps its providers under the plural root then returned "stale" while the file was current. Restore now passes the restored document for Command Code as state reads and mutation plans already do, and falls back to the previous behaviour when the snapshot is not parseable. Compact nine test-layout registrations so the merge with current dev keeps scripts/test-layout/layout.json under the 2,000-line ratchet. Co-authored-by: Rafael Moreira Lima <rrmlima@gmail.com>
Command Code is a product name and stays identical in every locale, like Kilo and Factory Droid, so its tab and client-config keys join the French and zh-TW keep-English allowlists. The Connect tab reuses the Command Code provider mark already in provider-icons; the README now records that, as it does for Cline's reused mark. Co-authored-by: Rafael Moreira Lima <rrmlima@gmail.com>
#3833 added Command Code to the ocx sync fan-out so an owned provider block follows catalog changes, but the dashboard's syncEnabledClientIntegrations kept the old roster, so a Models-page save left Command Code on a stale catalog until the next apply or CLI sync. Both rosters now include it; the refresh still touches only an integration the user has enabled. Update the cli-dispatch expectation that current dev added after #3833's base, which pinned the CLI roster without Command Code. Co-authored-by: Rafael Moreira Lima <rrmlima@gmail.com>
Visibility, selection and preset writes refresh owned client blocks through refreshOwnedCatalogIntegrations' default roster, which did not include Command Code, so its provider block kept a stale catalog after a Models-page change. Add it, as Droid, OpenCode and Kilo were added, with a regression for both the owned refresh and the untouched, unloaded unowned file. Co-authored-by: Rafael Moreira Lima <rrmlima@gmail.com>

Summary
Carries #3833 by @rrmlima onto current
devand lands it with two review fixes. The original branch is 51 commits behinddev, and its only Cross-platform CI run tests the merge ref from 2026-10-05, wheretest 2/4fails the release-version guard (package.json2.78.0 behind tag v2.80.0) for reasons unrelated to this change. What #3833 adds (unchanged here): an opt-in Command Code client.
ocx commandcode enable(aliasocx cmd) or the new Command Code tab on the Connect page writesprovider.opencodexinto~/.commandcode/providers.jsonwithapiKey: false(keyless loopback). The block goes into whichever root the file already uses (provider ?? providers, as the client reads it), with the existing snapshot, lock, drift, journal and restore guarantees.ocx syncrefreshes it only after the integration has been enabled. Users who never enable it see no file written and no behaviour change.Fixes on top of #3833:
HOME ?? USERPROFILE.os.homedir()on Windows reads onlyUSERPROFILE, so a user whoseHOMEdiffers (Git for Windows, MSYS2, Cygwin, or set by hand) would get a provider block in a file Command Code never opens.commandCodeUserHomenow follows the client for the OS-default home; an injected home (tests, the writer'sinput.home) is kept, and a blank or relativeHOMEfalls back. POSIX behaviour is unchanged.stalefor a file that was current. It now passes the restored document for Command Code, as state reads and mutation plans already do, and falls back to the old behaviour for an unparseable snapshot.ocx syncfan-out so an owned block follows catalog changes, but the dashboard sync (syncEnabledClientIntegrations) and Models-page saves (the default roster ofrefreshOwnedCatalogIntegrations) still skipped it. Both now include it; refresh still touches only an integration the user enabled, and an unowned file is neither read for models nor rewritten.tests/cli/cli-dispatch.test.ts, added todevafter feat(clients): add native Command Code integration and catalog sync #3833's base, pinned the old CLI roster and is updated.b143984642;provider-icons/README.mdnow records that.devregistered another test file; merged with this branch,scripts/test-layout/layout.jsonreached 2,000 lines (NEW_OVERSIZED). Nine one-per-line registrations are compacted; the parsed map is identical (1,996 lines).commandcodeout ofocx export --client; the Fast-row list omitted it. All now include it.structure/clients/integrations.mdrecords the Windows rule.Supersedes #3833.
