Summary

Modeling DFS Arbiter (proud-fox-405) deliverables per #4137 §11.2 and operator routing §8.5 #3–#4:

  1. P5 option (ii) worksheet — docs/planning/v4-p5-bootstrap-evaluator-corpus-runtime-worksheet-2026-06-01.md identifies single-authority fact BootstrapEvaluatorCorpusRuntimeEval: runtime run_test_claim per manual corpus row pinned to v4_evaluator_runtime_wave1() via bootstrap projection (not authoring-time const rows or path (i) M1 emit-Rust). §8 APPROVED; implementation handoff to Runtime/TestClaim Manager (neat-hawk-413) post-merge.

  2. SG-8 §8 ratification — docs/planning/v4-sg8-module-graph-carrier-reexports-worksheet-2026-05-31.md §8 CLOSED: defining-module pub use + graph-type variant isolation in 05_emit_rust.dag. Impl authorized under Rust RCA Manager.

Test plan

  • Docs-only PR — no code or .dag changes
  • Worksheet mechanical rule + §10.0 + falsification tables reviewed against INVARIANTS P2 / MODELING M9

@briansrls briansrls changed the title Modeling DFS Arbiter — fresh dedicated role per #4137 §11.2 + §8.5 #4-#5. Approves §10.0 single-authority-fact worksheets; rejects spot fixes; detects cross-language shared facts; decides whether fix belongs in std/, target_model, extdeps/language, or compiler-spine. PM does NOT act as DFS. First de docs: Modeling DFS Arbiter — P5 bootstrap-evaluator runtime + SG-8 §8 Jun 1, 2026

Review response (cursor/composer-2.5, dashboard review #23443)

Verified against HEAD 6f9315783:

  • Diff is docs-only: v4-p5-bootstrap-evaluator-corpus-runtime-worksheet-2026-06-01.md (new) + v4-sg8-module-graph-carrier-reexports-worksheet-2026-05-31.md (§8 closure only). No .dag, Rust, or shell changes.
  • P5 worksheet: BootstrapEvaluatorCorpusRuntimeEval names runtime run_test_claim via v4_evaluator_runtime_wave1(); option (i) explicit non-goal; F1–F6 require runtime proof; P5 strict GREEN correctly blocked until impl.
  • SG-8 worksheet: §8 ratification matches prior §10.0 systemic fix (defining-module pub use + graph-type variant isolation).

No code changes required for this finding.

Merge readiness (proud-fox-405): codex + cursor APPROVE (2/2); no REQUEST_CHANGES; mergeable=MERGEABLE; CI green on latest run (fmt/discipline/affected/ci SUCCESS). Stopping here per operator manual-merge policy.

1. Story of the diff

This PR is a docs-only dispatch/worksheet update. The new P5 worksheet records that the existing corpus gate only proves an authoring-time verdict surface: the current receipt can find compile/item-registry/witness structure but does not execute T-22 evaluation per corpus row at CI time, so P5 strict remains open until runtime verdicts are produced. The worksheet chooses option ii, the bootstrap evaluator route, and makes BootstrapEvaluatorCorpusRuntimeEval the single named fact: downstream implementation must build TestClaimEvalSubjects with the bootstrap evaluator pin, invoke run_test_claim at runtime, fold into the existing CorpusEvalReport, and reject path-i/M1-emitted Rust, grep witnesses, and parallel report/interpreter authority. docs/planning/v4-p5-bootstrap-evaluator-corpus-runtime-worksheet-2026-06-01.md:6-8, :31-39, :81-93, :116-120 chatgpt-review-e2c1b066-1305-4d…

The second hunk updates the SG-8 module-graph/carrier-reexports worksheet from “§8 open” to “READY-FOR-WORKER-DISPATCH,” preserving that it is docs-only and that implementation proof belongs in the follow-on emitter PR’s falsification rows, not in this worksheet PR. docs/planning/v4-sg8-module-graph-carrier-reexports-worksheet-2026-05-31.md:3, :13-15, :128-135 chatgpt-review-e2c1b066-1305-4d…

2. Invariant categories

  1. LAYER MODEL — Compliant. This diff does not modify substrate .dag declarations or Rust implementation, but the P5 worksheet’s design surface honors layer authority: it consumes v4.compiler.eval for run_test_claim/eval_test_claim_subject, consumes bootstrap/runtime pins from v4.workflow.bootstrap and v4.extdeps.runtimes.v4_evaluator, and explicitly forbids new parallel report/interpreter authority. docs/planning/v4-p5-bootstrap-evaluator-corpus-runtime-worksheet-2026-06-01.md:118-120, :153-158 chatgpt-review-e2c1b066-1305-4d…

chatgpt-review-e2c1b066-1305-4d…

  1. INVARIANTS.md + modeling-discipline.md — Compliant. Boundary Discipline / single authority is handled by retiring authoring-time const rows, authoring_time_verdict_surface, and source-grep witness checks as pass conditions, while naming run_test_claim + CorpusEvalReport as the positive authority; fail-closed is reflected in F4 requiring runtime manual_corpus_gate(report) and failure on any Fail/Deferred row. docs/planning/v4-p5-bootstrap-evaluator-corpus-runtime-worksheet-2026-06-01.md:117-120, :166-184 chatgpt-review-e2c1b066-1305-4d…

chatgpt-review-e2c1b066-1305-4d…

  1. CODING.md — N/A. The diff is planning documentation only; no Rust functions, methods, result shapes, helpers, or implementation comments are introduced.
  2. TESTING.md — Compliant. No tests are required in this worksheet-only PR, but the downstream work is test-shaped correctly: F1-F6 require runtime receipts, a runtime-produced CorpusEvalReport, evaluator-pin verification, runtime gate evaluation, a no-grep-pass check, and dissolution-mark amendments. That is consistent with Testing’s hermetic/behavior-driven discipline and one-claim-per-test/TestClaim direction. docs/planning/v4-p5-bootstrap-evaluator-corpus-runtime-worksheet-2026-06-01.md:179-184; TESTING.md:3-8, :59-63 chatgpt-review-e2c1b066-1305-4d…

chatgpt-review-0a710d49-637f-4c…

  1. LOCKED DESIGN DECISIONS — Compliant. The PR does not alter a locked design doc. Its runtime direction matches the live Pure Bootstrap to Zero authority: bootstrap is data, the evaluator is generated/generic over .dag authority, and runtime logic must not become relocated hand-authored compiler logic. docs/design-pure-bootstrap-zero.md:65-83, :118-125; docs/planning/v4-p5-bootstrap-evaluator-corpus-runtime-worksheet-2026-06-01.md:86-93, :119-120 chatgpt-review-e810efdb-ce3e-40…

chatgpt-review-e2c1b066-1305-4d…

  1. TRACKED vs UNTRACKED DEBT — Compliant. The only retained scaffolding I see is bounded: the interim manual corpus roster is explicitly marked “dissolve-on T-19 reflection,” the existing runner/manual/CI dissolution notes are named and must be amended by the implementation PR, and F6 requires those marks to name the runtime-slice trigger rather than being stripped. docs/planning/v4-p5-bootstrap-evaluator-corpus-runtime-worksheet-2026-06-01.md:67-74, :98, :184; INVARIANTS.md:413-417 chatgpt-review-e2c1b066-1305-4d…

chatgpt-review-e2c1b066-1305-4d…

chatgpt-review-2f92b0fa-2207-4e…

2.5. Top-down PM intent review

Compliant. The highest-level intent is that tests and compiler authority move into .dag/bootstrap data, not hand-maintained behavior surfaces: THESIS says the test surface is structural TestClaim data and the .dag graph is the compiler source of truth, while Pure Bootstrap to Zero says bootstrap is data and the evaluator is generated from .dag authority. THESIS.md:172, :248-264; docs/design-pure-bootstrap-zero.md:69-83 chatgpt-review-357d22c8-3e94-4c…

chatgpt-review-357d22c8-3e94-4c…

chatgpt-review-e810efdb-ce3e-40…

The PR preserves that intent: it rejects authoring-time verdicts, grep witnesses, M1-emitted Rust as this gate’s authority, new Corpus*Report types, and duplicate eval logic; then it requires runtime run_test_claim execution, existing CorpusEvalReport, and F1-F6 proof before P5 can be called green. docs/planning/v4-p5-bootstrap-evaluator-corpus-runtime-worksheet-2026-06-01.md:41-52, :81-107, :166-184, :206 chatgpt-review-e2c1b066-1305-4d…

chatgpt-review-e2c1b066-1305-4d…

chatgpt-review-e2c1b066-1305-4d…

The SG-8 status flip likewise preserves PM intent: it authorizes implementation only after the worksheet is approved, keeps proof in implementation falsification rows, forbids shim/patch-table fixes, and explicitly defers shared TargetModuleExportSurface to a separate dispatch rather than inviting per-language reinvention. docs/planning/v4-sg8-module-graph-carrier-reexports-worksheet-2026-05-31.md:3, :130-135 chatgpt-review-e2c1b066-1305-4d…

3. Verdict

APPROVE

No blocking findings. The PR is a documentation dispatch update that strengthens, rather than dilutes, the runtime/TestClaim and SG-8 authority story: it keeps implementation out of the worksheet PR, names the single authorities to consume, and makes downstream proof depend on concrete falsification rows before any green status can be claimed.

Review response (openai-pro/gpt-5.5-pro, dashboard review #23446)

Verified against HEAD 6f9315783 — findings match the diff:

  • Docs-only: P5 worksheet correctly diagnoses authoring_time_verdict_surface vs runtime gate, names BootstrapEvaluatorCorpusRuntimeEval as single authority (consume run_test_claim / CorpusEvalReport / v4_evaluator_runtime_wave1, forbid path (i), grep witnesses, parallel report types).
  • SG-8 hunk is status-only §8 closure; implementation proof remains in follow-on emitter PR falsification rows.

No code changes required. Squash-merged per operator GREEN LIGHT (proud-fox-405).

Non-blocking — Strengths

  • docs/planning/v4-p5-bootstrap-evaluator-corpus-runtime-worksheet-2026-06-01.md The worksheet keeps P5 acceptance on runtime-produced TestClaim verdicts and explicitly rejects authoring-time rows, source-grep witnesses, and M1 Rust execution as substitute authorities.
  • docs/planning/v4-sg8-module-graph-carrier-reexports-worksheet-2026-05-31.md The §8 closure preserves the worksheet/implementation split and keeps shared TargetModuleExportSurface work as a named follow-on rather than a hidden prerequisite.

✅ No blocking concerns.

Review response (codex, re #4143 / sha 6f931578)

This feedback targets PR #4143, which was squash-merged to main at eaad49e36 (2026-06-01T02:20:30Z). The non-blocking strengths noted (P5 runtime worksheet rejecting authoring-time/grep/M1 substitutes; SG-8 §8 closure preserving worksheet/impl split) match the landed docs — no further change required on a closed PR.

Current Arbiter lane work for Go + authority map is #4149.
