master version of #55626.

Follow-up to #50236 which also intends to provide faster, more convenient prototyping.

This also uses correct capitalization scheme for 3D meshes that are drag-and-dropped, like in the 2D editor.

I like this, any feature which makes the tooling more naturally intuitive as opposed to big 'nope, this is not allowed' messageboxes seems very welcome.

Seems to work okay when tested, and naming seemed to work fine.
