Manual Installation
If you were unable to configure your webserver to allow for automatic setup YOU ARE STILL IN LUCK! Kalatheme will still provide a download link to your generated subtheme and library so that you can install them manually. After you go through the setup workflow you will be bounced back to the Appearances page. You should see a message like this.
Click on the download link and extract the archive. Contained within this digital treasure you will find a folder called "kalasubtheme" which will contain both your subtheme and library. You may have to go through a few folders to find it. This is what the archive will look like if you build from Pantheon. For reference I decided to name this subtheme "Mega Awesome Theme 3".
Now using your favorite SFTP, FTP client or perhaps through a file management tool provided by your hosting provider you will need to transfer both your theme and your library into the appropriate locations on the server. Your bootstrap library will be called something like yoursubtheme_bootstrap, mega_awesome_theme_3 bootstrap in this example and your subtheme will just be called yoursubtheme, mega_awesome_theme_3 in this example. Generally you will want to put the library into sites/all/libraries and your subtheme into sites/all/themes although sometimes this is not the case. Here is what your drupal installation should look like when you have finished uploading.
You should now be able to go back to the Appearances theme and enable your subtheme! Yay!
