And I found a related commit (5704c8c4fa71 "getcfi_scn_eh_frame: Don't
crash and burn when .eh_frame bits aren't there.") in elfutils that can
lead to a unexpected crash like this. To safely use the function, it
needs to check the .eh_frame section is a PROGBITS type.

When link statistics is dumped over netlink, we iterate over
the list of peer nodes and append each links statistics to
the netlink msg. In the case where the dump is resumed after
filling up a nlmsg, the node refcnt is decremented without
having been incremented previously which may cause the node
reference to be freed. When this happens, the following
info/stacktrace will be generated, followed by a crash or
undefined behavior.
We fix this by removing the erroneous call to tipc_node_put
inside the loop that iterates over nodes.

Dave Chinner has properly pointed out that this is a deadlock in the
reclaim code because ext4 doesn't submit pages which are marked by
PG_writeback right away.

The heuristic was introduced by commit e62e384 ("memcg: prevent OOM
with too many dirty pages") and it was applied only when may_enter_fs
was specified. The code has been changed by c3b94f4 ("memcg:
further prevent OOM with too many dirty pages") which has removed the
__GFP_FS restriction with a reasoning that we do not get into the fs
code. But this is not sufficient apparently because the fs doesn't
necessarily submit pages marked PG_writeback for IO right away.

ext4_bio_write_page calls io_submit_add_bh but that doesn't necessarily
submit the bio. Instead it tries to map more pages into the bio and
mpage_map_one_extent might trigger memcg charge which might end up
waiting on a page which is marked PG_writeback but hasn't been submitted
yet so we would end up waiting for something that never finishes.

Fix this issue by replacing __GFP_IO by may_enter_fs check (for case 2)
before we go to wait on the writeback. The page fault path, which is
the only path that triggers memcg oom killer since 3.12, shouldn't
require GFP_NOFS and so we shouldn't reintroduce the premature OOM
killer issue which was originally addressed by the heuristic.

As per David Chinner the xfs is doing similar thing since 2.6.15 already
so ext4 is not the only affected filesystem. Moreover he notes:

: For example: IO completion might require unwritten extent conversion
: which executes filesystem transactions and GFP_NOFS allocations. The
: writeback flag on the pages can not be cleared until unwritten
: extent conversion completes. Hence memory reclaim cannot wait on
: page writeback to complete in GFP_NOFS context because it is not
: safe to do so, memcg reclaim or otherwise.

reset explicitly. Therefore, we reset everything except config's

The Intel Baytrail pinctrl driver implements irqchip callbacks which are
called with desc->lock raw_spinlock held. In mainline this is fine because
spinlock resolves to raw_spinlock. However, running the same code in -rt we
get:

This is because in -rt spinlocks are preemptible so taking the driver
private spinlock in irqchip callbacks causes might_sleep() to trigger.

In order to keep -rt happy but at the same time make sure that register
accesses get serialized, convert the driver to use raw_spinlock instead.

Also shorten the critical section a bit in few places.

ocfs2_setattr.#1247 we unlock and at #1259 call posix_acl_chmod. When we reach
ocfs2_acl_set_mode.torvalds#181 and do trans, the inode cluster lock is not held in EX
mode (it should be). How this could have happended?

We are the lock master, were holding lock EX and have released it in
ocfs2_setattr.#1247. Note that there are no holders of this lock at
this point. Another node needs the lock in PR, and we downconvert from
EX to PR. So the inode lock is PR when do the trans in
ocfs2_acl_set_mode.torvalds#184. The trans stays in core (not flushed to disc).
Now another node want the lock in EX, downconvert thread gets kicked
(the one that tripped assert abovt), finds an unflushed trans but the
lock is not EX (it is PR). If the lock was at EX, it would have flushed
the trans ocfs2_ci_checkpointed -> ocfs2_start_checkpoint before
downconverting (to NULL) for the request.

ocfs2_setattr must not drop inode lock ex in this code path. If it
does, takes it again before the trans, say in ocfs2_set_acl, another
cluster node can get in between, execute another setattr, overwriting
the one in progress on this node, resulting in a mode acl size combo
that is a mix of the two.

We're consistently hitting deadlocks here with XFS on recent kernels.
After some digging through the crash files, it looks like everyone in
the system is waiting for XFS to reclaim memory.

Intel PT attempts to find the sched:sched_switch tracepoint but that seg
faults if tracefs is not readable, because the error reporting structure
is null, as errors are not reported when automatically adding
tracepoints. Fix by checking before using.

Committer note:

This doesn't take place in a kernel that supports
perf_event_attr.context_switch, that is the default way that will be
used for tracking context switches, only in older kernels, like 4.2, in
a machine with Intel PT (e.g. Broadwell) for non-priviledged users.

Further info from a similar patch by Wang:

The error is in tracepoint_error: it assumes the 'e' parameter is valid.

However, there are many situation a parse_event() can be called without
parse_events_error. See result of

  $ grep 'parse_events(.*NULL)' ./tools/perf/ -r'

The 'IABT (current EL)' indicates the error but it's a bit cryptic
without knowledge of the ARM ARM. There is also no indication of the
specific address which triggered the fault. The increase in kernel
page permissions makes hitting this case more likely as well.
Handling the case in the vectors gives a much more familiar looking

the x86 selftests.

do_int80_syscall_32() will call enter_form_user_mode() to convert context
tracking state from user state to kernel state. The load_gs_index() call
can fail with user gsbase, gsbase will be fixed up and proceed if this
happen.

However, enter_from_user_mode() will be called again in the fixed up path
though it is context tracking kernel state currently.

This patch fixes it by just fixing up gsbase and telling lockdep that IRQs
are off once load_gs_index() failed with user gsbase.

There have been several reports over the years of NULL pointer
dereferences in xfs_trans_log_inode during xfs_fsr processes,
when the process is doing an fput and tearing down extents
on the temporary inode, something like:

BUG: unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at 0000000000000018

#22 [ffff8800a57bbf50] int_signal at ffffffff8161405d

As it turns out, this is because the i_itemp pointer, along
with the d_ops pointer, has been overwritten with zeros
when we tear down the extents during truncate. When the in-core
inode fork on the temporary inode used by xfs_fsr was originally
set up during the extent swap, we mistakenly looked at di_nextents
to determine whether all extents fit inline, but this misses extents
generated by speculative preallocation; we should be using if_bytes
instead.

This mistake corrupts the in-memory inode, and code in
xfs_iext_remove_inline eventually gets bad inputs, causing
it to memmove and memset incorrect ranges; this became apparent
because the two values in ifp->if_u2.if_inline_ext[1] contained
what should have been in d_ops and i_itemp; they were memmoved due
to incorrect array indexing and then the original locations
were zeroed with memset, again due to an array overrun.

Fix this by properly using i_df.if_bytes to determine the number
of extents, not di_nextents.

There is at least one Chelsio 10Gb card which uses VPD area to store some
non-standard blocks (example below). However pci_vpd_size() returns the
length of the first block only assuming that there can be only one VPD "End
Tag".

Since 4e1a635 ("vfio/pci: Use kernel VPD access functions"), VFIO
blocks access beyond that offset, which prevents the guest "cxgb3" driver
from probing the device. The host system does not have this problem as its
driver accesses the config space directly without pci_read_vpd().

Add a quirk to override the VPD size to a bigger value. The maximum size
is taken from EEPROMSIZE in drivers/net/ethernet/chelsio/cxgb3/common.h.
We do not read the tag as the cxgb3 driver does as the driver supports
writing to EEPROM/VPD and when it writes, it only checks for 8192 bytes
boundary. The quirk is registered for all devices supported by the cxgb3
driver.

This adds a quirk to the PCI layer (not to the cxgb3 driver) as the cxgb3
driver itself accesses VPD directly and the problem only exists with the
vfio-pci driver (when cxgb3 is not running on the host and may not be even
loaded) which blocks accesses beyond the first block of VPD data. However
vfio-pci itself does not have quirks mechanism so we add it to PCI.

This is the controller:

Both arch_add_memory() and arch_remove_memory() expect a single threaded
context.

For example, arch/x86/mm/init_64.c::kernel_physical_mapping_init() does
not hold any locks over this check and branch:

    if (pgd_val(*pgd)) {
    	pud = (pud_t *)pgd_page_vaddr(*pgd);
    	paddr_last = phys_pud_init(pud, __pa(vaddr),
    				   __pa(vaddr_end),
    				   page_size_mask);
    	continue;
    }

    pud = alloc_low_page();
    paddr_last = phys_pud_init(pud, __pa(vaddr), __pa(vaddr_end),
    			   page_size_mask);

The result is that two threads calling devm_memremap_pages()
simultaneously can end up colliding on pgd initialization. This leads
to crash signatures like the following where the loser of the race
initializes the wrong pgd entry:

As Eric Dumazet pointed out this also needs to be fixed in IPv6.
v2: Contains the IPv6 tcp/Ipv6 dccp patches as well.

We have seen a few incidents lately where a dst_enty has been freed
with a dangling TCP socket reference (sk->sk_dst_cache) pointing to that
dst_entry. If the conditions/timings are right a crash then ensues when the
freed dst_entry is referenced later on. A Common crashing back trace is:

 #8 [] page_fault at ffffffff8163e648
    [exception RIP: __tcp_ack_snd_check+74]

#25 [] irq_exit at ffffffff81084ee5
#26 [] do_IRQ at ffffffff81648ff8

Of course it may happen with other NIC drivers as well.

It's found the freed dst_entry here:

 224 static bool tcp_in_quickack_mode(struct sock *sk)↩
 225 {↩
 226 ▹       const struct inet_connection_sock *icsk = inet_csk(sk);↩
 227 ▹       const struct dst_entry *dst = __sk_dst_get(sk);↩
 228 ↩
 229 ▹       return (dst && dst_metric(dst, RTAX_QUICKACK)) ||↩
 230 ▹       ▹       (icsk->icsk_ack.quick && !icsk->icsk_ack.pingpong);↩
 231 }↩

But there are other backtraces attributed to the same freed dst_entry in
netfilter code as well.

All the vmcores showed 2 significant clues:

- Remote hosts behind the default gateway had always been redirected to a
different gateway. A rtable/dst_entry will be added for that host. Making
more dst_entrys with lower reference counts. Making this more probable.

- All vmcores showed a postitive LockDroppedIcmps value, e.g:

LockDroppedIcmps                  267

A closer look at the tcp_v4_err() handler revealed that do_redirect() will run
regardless of whether user space has the socket locked. This can result in a
race condition where the same dst_entry cached in sk->sk_dst_entry can be
decremented twice for the same socket via:

do_redirect()->__sk_dst_check()-> dst_release().

Which leads to the dst_entry being prematurely freed with another socket
pointing to it via sk->sk_dst_cache and a subsequent crash.

To fix this skip do_redirect() if usespace has the socket locked. Instead let
the redirect take place later when user space does not have the socket
locked.

The dccp/IPv6 code is very similar in this respect, so fixing it there too.

As Eric Garver pointed out the following commit now invalidates routes. Which
can set the dst->obsolete flag so that ipv4_dst_check() returns null and
triggers the dst_release().

This can be reproduced by run kvm-unit-tests/hyperv_stimer.flat w/
CONFIG_PREEMPT and CONFIG_DEBUG_PREEMPT enabled.

Safe access to per-CPU data requires a couple of constraints, though: the
thread working with the data cannot be preempted and it cannot be migrated
while it manipulates per-CPU variables. If the thread is preempted, the
thread that replaces it could try to work with the same variables; migration
to another CPU could also cause confusion. However there is no preemption
disable when reads host per-CPU tsc rate to calculate the current kvmclock
timestamp.

This patch fixes it by utilizing get_cpu/put_cpu pair to guarantee both
__this_cpu_read() and rdtsc() are not preempted.

This patch addresses the problem by using state of controller to
decide whether reset should be queued or not as state change is
synchronizated using controller spinlock. Also cancel_work_sync is
used to make sure remove cancels the reset_work and waits for it to
finish. This patch also changes return value from -ENODEV to more
appropriate -EBUSY if nvme_reset fails to change state.

block_get_rq::TP_fast_assign() has multiple redundant ->dev assignments.
Only one of them is NULL tolerant. Favor the NULL tolerant one.

This task was trying to mount the cdrom. It allocated and configured a
super_block struct and owned the write-lock for the super_block->s_umount
rwsem. While exclusively owning the s_umount lock, it called
sr_block_ioctl and waited to acquire the global sr_mutex lock.

This task tried to open the cdrom device, the sr_block_open function
acquired the global sr_mutex lock. The call to check_disk_change()
then saw an event flag indicating a possible media change and tried
to flush any cached data for the device.
As part of the flush, it tried to acquire the super_block->s_umount
lock associated with the cdrom device.
This was the same super_block as created and locked by the previous task.

The first task acquires the s_umount lock and then the sr_mutex_lock;
the second task acquires the sr_mutex_lock and then the s_umount lock.

This patch fixes the issue by moving check_disk_change() out of
cdrom_open() and let the caller take care of it.

Patch series "kexec_file, x86, powerpc: refactoring for other
architecutres", v2.

This is a preparatory patchset for adding kexec_file support on arm64.

It was originally included in a arm64 patch set[1], but Philipp is also
working on their kexec_file support on s390[2] and some changes are now
conflicting.

So these common parts were extracted and put into a separate patch set
for better integration. What's more, my original patch#4 was split into
a few small chunks for easier review after Dave's comment.

As such, the resulting code is basically identical with my original, and
the only *visible* differences are:

 - renaming of _kexec_kernel_image_probe() and  _kimage_file_post_load_cleanup()

 - change one of types of arguments at prepare_elf64_headers()

Those, unfortunately, require a couple of trivial changes on the rest
(#1, #6 to #13) of my arm64 kexec_file patch set[1].

Patch #1 allows making a use of purgatory optional, particularly useful
for arm64.

Patch #2 commonalizes arch_kexec_kernel_{image_probe, image_load,
verify_sig}() and arch_kimage_file_post_load_cleanup() across
architectures.

Patches #3-#7 are also intended to generalize parse_elf64_headers(),
along with exclude_mem_range(), to be made best re-use of.

This patch (of 7):

On arm64, crash dump kernel's usable memory is protected by *unmapping*
it from kernel virtual space unlike other architectures where the region
is just made read-only. It is highly unlikely that the region is
accidentally corrupted and this observation rationalizes that digest
check code can also be dropped from purgatory. The resulting code is so
simple as it doesn't require a bit ugly re-linking/relocation stuff,
i.e.  arch_kexec_apply_relocations_add().

Please see:

   http://lists.infradead.org/pipermail/linux-arm-kernel/2017-December/545428.html

All that the purgatory does is to shuffle arguments and jump into a new
kernel, while we still need to have some space for a hash value
(purgatory_sha256_digest) which is never checked against.

As such, it doesn't make sense to have trampline code between old kernel
and new kernel on arm64.

This patch introduces a new configuration, ARCH_HAS_KEXEC_PURGATORY, and
allows related code to be compiled in only if necessary.

When we get a hung task it can often be valuable to see _all_ the hung
tasks on the system before calling panic().

When reporting an AB-BA deadlock like shown above, it would be nice if
trace of PID=6541 is printed as well as trace of PID=6540 before calling
panic().

Showing hung tasks up to /proc/sys/kernel/hung_task_warnings could delay
calling panic() but normally there should not be so many hung tasks.

There is a problem if we are going to unmap a rbd device and the
watch_dwork is going to queue delayed work for watch:

unmap Thread                    watch Thread                  timer
do_rbd_remove
  cancel_tasks_sync(rbd_dev)
                                queue_delayed_work for watch
  destroy_workqueue(rbd_dev->task_wq)
    drain_workqueue(wq)
    destroy other resources in wq
                                                              call_timer_fn
                                                                __queue_work()

Then the delayed work escape the cancel_tasks_sync() and
destroy_workqueue() and we will get an user-after-free call trace:

The syzkaller detected a out-of-bounds issue with the events filter code,
specifically here:

	prog[N].pred = NULL;					/* #13 */
	prog[N].target = 1;		/* TRUE */
	prog[N+1].pred = NULL;
	prog[N+1].target = 0;		/* FALSE */
->	prog[N-1].target = N;
	prog[N-1].when_to_branch = false;

As that's the first reference to a "N-1" index, it appears that the code got
here with N = 0, which means the filter parser found no filter to parse
(which shouldn't ever happen, but apparently it did).

Add a new error to the parsing code that will check to make sure that N is
not zero before going into this part of the code. If N = 0, then -EINVAL is
returned, and a error message is added to the filter.

Fix by calling pgtable_page_dtor() in our __pte_free_tlb() code path,
so that the PG_table flag is cleared before we free the pte page.

Note that I had to change the type of pte_free() to be static from
extern. Otherwise you get a lot of warnings like this:

./arch/m68k/include/asm/mcf_pgalloc.h:80:2: warning: ‘pgtable_page_dtor’ is static but used in inline function ‘pte_free’ which is not static
  pgtable_page_dtor(page);
  ^

And making it static is consistent with our use of this in the other
m68k pgalloc definitions of pte_free().

After scrubbing the BPF prog a bit from the noise, turns out it called
bpf_skb_change_head() for the lwt_xmit prog with headroom of 2. Nothing
wrong in that, however, this was run with repeat >> 0 in bpf_prog_test_run_skb()
and the same skb thus keeps changing until the pskb_expand_head() called
from skb_cow() keeps bailing out in atomic alloc context with -ENOMEM.
So upon return we'll basically have 0 headroom left yet blindly do the
__skb_push() of 14 bytes and keep copying data from there in bpf_test_finish()
out of bounds. Fix to check if we have enough headroom and if pskb_expand_head()
fails, bail out with error.

Another bug independent of this fix (but related in triggering above) is
that BPF_PROG_TEST_RUN should be reworked to reset the skb/xdp buffer to
it's original state from input as otherwise repeating the same test in a
loop won't work for benchmarking when underlying input buffer is getting
changed by the prog each time and reused for the next run leading to
unexpected results.

Revert the commit bd293d0. The proper
fix has been made available with commit d0a255e ("loop: set
PF_MEMALLOC_NOIO for the worker thread").

Note that the fix offered by commit bd293d0 doesn't really prevent
the deadlock from occuring - if we look at the stacktrace reported by
Junxiao Bi, we see that it hangs in bit_wait_io and not on the mutex -
i.e. it has already successfully taken the mutex. Changing the mutex
from mutex_lock to mutex_trylock won't help with deadlocks that happen
afterwards.

  ---[ end trace 166c865cec7688e7 ]---

[CAUSE]
The error number -27 is -EFBIG, returned from the following call chain:
btrfs_end_transaction()
|- __btrfs_end_transaction()
   |- btrfs_create_pending_block_groups()
      |- btrfs_finish_chunk_alloc()
         |- btrfs_add_system_chunk()

This happens because we have used up all space of
btrfs_super_block::sys_chunk_array.

The root cause is, we have the following bad loop of creating tons of
system chunks:

1. The only SYSTEM chunk is being scrubbed
   It's very common to have only one SYSTEM chunk.
2. New SYSTEM bg will be allocated
   As btrfs_inc_block_group_ro() will check if we have enough space
   after marking current bg RO. If not, then allocate a new chunk.
3. New SYSTEM bg is still empty, will be reclaimed
   During the reclaim, we will mark it RO again.
4. That newly allocated empty SYSTEM bg get scrubbed
   We go back to step 2, as the bg is already mark RO but still not
   cleaned up yet.

If the cleaner kthread doesn't get executed fast enough (e.g. only one
CPU), then we will get more and more empty SYSTEM chunks, using up all
the space of btrfs_super_block::sys_chunk_array.

[FIX]
Since scrub/dev-replace doesn't always need to allocate new extent,
especially chunk tree extent, so we don't really need to do chunk
pre-allocation.

To break above spiral, here we introduce a new parameter to
btrfs_inc_block_group(), @do_chunk_alloc, which indicates whether we
need extra chunk pre-allocation.

For relocation, we pass @do_chunk_alloc=true, while for scrub, we pass
@do_chunk_alloc=false.
This should keep unnecessary empty chunks from popping up for scrub.

Also, since there are two parameters for btrfs_inc_block_group_ro(),
add more comment for it.

Above Oops are due to the slab-out-of-bounds happened in do-while of
function layout_in_gaps indirectly called by ubifs_tnc_start_commit. In
function layout_in_gaps, there is a do-while loop placing index nodes
into the gaps created by obsolete index nodes in non-empty index LEBs
until rest index nodes can totally be placed into pre-allocated empty
LEBs. @c->gap_lebs points to a memory area(integer array) which records
LEB numbers used by 'in-the-gaps' method. Whenever a fitable index LEB
is found, corresponding lnum will be incrementally written into the
memory area pointed by @c->gap_lebs. The size
((@c->lst.idx_lebs + 1) * sizeof(int)) of memory area is allocated before
do-while loop and can not be changed in the loop. But @c->lst.idx_lebs
could be increased by function ubifs_change_lp (called by
layout_leb_in_gaps->ubifs_find_dirty_idx_leb->get_idx_gc_leb) during the
loop. So, sometimes oob happens when number of cycles in do-while loop
exceeds the original value of @c->lst.idx_lebs. See detail in
https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=204229.
This patch fixes oob in layout_in_gaps.

security_secid_to_secctx is called by the bpf_lsm hook and a successful
return value (i.e 0) implies that the parameter will be consumed by the
LSM framework. The current behaviour return success when the pointer
isn't initialized when CONFIG_BPF_LSM is enabled, with the default
return from kernel/bpf/bpf_lsm.c.

Rework the so the default return value is -EOPNOTSUPP.

There are likely other callbacks such as security_inode_getsecctx() that
may have the same problem, and that someone that understand the code
better needs to audit them.

Thank you Arnd for helping me figure out what went wrong.

When the nvmem framework is enabled, a nvmem device is created per mtd
device/partition.

It is not uncommon that a device can have multiple mtd devices with
partitions that have the same name. Eg, when there DT overlay is allowed
and the same device with mtd is attached twice.

Under that circumstances, the mtd fails to register due to a name
duplication on the nvmem framework.

With this patch we use the mtdX name instead of the partition name,
which is unique.

This can be caused by flush_dirty_inode() in f2fs_sync_node_pages() where
iput() requires f2fs_lock_op() again resulting in livelock.

Right now, igc_ptp_reset() is called from igc_reset(), which is called
from igc_probe() before igc_ptp_init() has a chance to run. It is
detected as an attempt to use an spinlock without registering its key
first. See log below.

To avoid this problem, simplify the initialization: igc_ptp_init() is
only called from igc_probe(), and igc_ptp_reset() is only called from
igc_reset().

The reason for this is that omapdrm calls drm_crtc_vblank_on() while
holding event_lock taken with spin_lock_irq().

It is not clear why drm_crtc_vblank_on() and drm_crtc_vblank_get() are
called while holding event_lock. I don't see any problem with moving
those calls outside the lock, which is what this patch does.

Linux 5.9 introduced perf test case "Parse and process metrics" and
on s390 this test case always dumps core:

  [root@t35lp67 perf]# ./perf test -vvvv -F 67

  parsing metric: inst_retired.any / cpu_clk_unhalted.thread

I debugged this core dump and gdb shows this call chain:

This test case was added with
commit 218ca91 ("perf tests: Add parse metric test for frontend metric").

When I compile with make DEBUG=y it works fine and I do not get a core dump.

It turned out that the above listed function call chain worked on a struct
pmu_event array which requires a trailing element with zeroes which was
missing. The marco map_for_each_event() loops over that array tests for members
metric_expr/metric_name/metric_group being non-NULL. Adding this element fixes
the issue.

Output after:

  [root@t35lp46 perf]# ./perf test 67
  67: Parse and process metrics : Ok

As Ian remarks, this is not s390 specific:

I'm also adding the missing "Fixes" tag and setting just .name to NULL,
as doing it that way is more compact (the compiler will zero out
everything else) and the table iterators look for .name being NULL as
the sentinel marking the end of the table.

The evsel->unit borrows a pointer of pmu event or alias instead of
owns a string. But tool event (duration_time) passes a result of
strdup() caused a leak.

It was found by ASAN during metric test:

  Direct leak of 210 byte(s) in 70 object(s) allocated from:

The metricgroup__add_metric() can find multiple match for a metric group
and it's possible to fail. Also it can fail in the middle like in
resolve_metric() even for single metric.

In those cases, the intermediate list and ids will be leaked like:

This fix is for a failure that occurred in the DWARF unwind perf test.

Stack unwinders may probe memory when looking for frames.

Memory sanitizer will poison and track uninitialized memory on the
stack, and on the heap if the value is copied to the heap.

This can lead to false memory sanitizer failures for the use of an
uninitialized value.

Avoid this problem by removing the poison on the copied stack.

The full msan failure with track origins looks like:

Otherwise following error was reported by Asan.

Note that this test still has memory leaks in DSOs so it still fails
even after this change. I'll take a look at that too.

I got a segfault when using -r option with event groups. The option
makes it run the workload multiple times and it will reuse the evlist
and evsel for each run.

While most of resources are allocated and freed properly, the id hash
in the evlist was not and it resulted in the bug. You can see it with
the address sanitizer like below:

  $ perf stat -r 100 -e '{cycles,instructions}' true

Actually the nodes in the hash table are struct perf_stream_id and
they were freed in the previous run. Fix it by resetting the hash.

I got several memory leak reports from Asan with a simple command. It
was because VDSO is not released due to the refcount. Like in
__dsos_addnew_id(), it should put the refcount after adding to the list.

There is only one "goto done;" in set_device_flags() and this happens
*before* hci_dev_lock() is called, move the done label to after the
hci_dev_unlock() to fix the following unlock balance:

[ 31.493571] WARNING: bad unlock balance detected!

[ 31.493684] but there are no more locks to release!

Note this bug has been around for a couple of years, but before
commit fe92ee6 ("Bluetooth: hci_core: Rework hci_conn_params flags")
supported_flags was hardcoded to "((1U << HCI_CONN_FLAG_MAX) - 1)" so
the check for unsupported flags which does the "goto done;" never
triggered.
