chore(dashboard): sync the UI kit to 0.0.104 and adopt its dialogs, data, chart and spinner components - #19174
Syncs the vendored UI kit to 0.0.104 and adopts what it now provides, closing the upstream table in #19066. Stacked on #19137, so its commits show here until it lands.
Dialogs:ConfirmModal runs on the kit AlertDialog. useConfirmDialog and its callers don't change. CommandPalette runs on the kit Command.
Data:JsonViewer and the request-log sections use JsonTree, with secrets masked through its redaction hook, including a secret behind a JSON escape that used to show in clear. ColumnToggle uses DataTableColumnsMenu. ConsoleLogViewer has no hex left: it uses the --ci-log-* tokens, with one tint per row.
Charts and brand:chartTheme in the recharts files, the kit LineChart where it fits, --ci-scale-div-* in the saliency heatmap, a shared ActivityCalendar on CalendarHeatmap, and brandTintVars/brandColor for chips, partner cards and banners. brandTint.ts is gone.
Spinner and Kbd: icon animate-spin usages go through the Spinner adapter on the kit Spinner, and <kbd> styles move to Kbd/KbdGroup. The kit sweep budgets the remaining animate-spin and bans raw <kbd>.
Visible changes
Confirmations: alertdialog, focus starts on Cancel, an outside click no longer closes, no close button, and a failed async confirm stays open. Escape still works during loading, as the only way out of a stuck request.
Command palette: search ignores accents and matches each word.
Console: debug and trace are lighter and neutral. Error and fatal rows carry the tint, not the badge.
Partner banners and cards: tint rises from about 5% to 18%, and CTAs use the kit button. They use Card brandColor, not FeatureNotice: three of those popups overlap on the home page.
Spinner: kit arc, slightly faster, stops under prefers-reduced-motion. Sizes round to 12/16/24/32 px.
Tests
New: tests/unit/ui/adapters/json-tree.test.tsx, traffic-inspector-json-tree, console-log-viewer-level-tint, activity-calendar, kit-line-charts, chart-theme-adoption, adapta-tutorial-kit-kbd. Existing tests move to the new roles and classes: confirmations look for alertdialog, including the negative toBeNull checks, and spinner tests stop looking for .animate-spin. Each front ran check:test-masking with exit 0.
Validation
Per front, on its own head: typecheck:core, check-dashboard-typecheck, eslint, prettier, the three kit sweeps, complexity, dead-code and test-masking, all with exit 0, plus the related unit and vitest files. On the combined branch: typecheck:core passed before the Spinner merge; everything else is this PR's CI.
Not validated: the full UI suite in one local run (load-related timeouts), npm run build, Playwright, and a real browser pass on the dialogs and the Spinner sweep. The e2e specs edited for alertdialog did not run locally. The charts and brand front checked screens in a temporary page only.
Add a thin FileInput/FileDropZone adapter (src/shared/components/FileInput.tsx)
over @omniroute/ui-kit/file-input that fills the kit's English text defaults
(choose, empty, selected-count, drop labels) from new common.* keys, and use it
where the dashboard carried a raw file input whose kit-exception said the kit
had none:
- batch UploadFileModal and wizard InputStep drop zones -> FileDropZone (same
accept, 512 MB limit, error banner, single-file pick, disabled while reading;
InputStep keeps its soft extension check)
- ProviderTransferPanel, RtkTomlImportCard, the Omni Skills install modal ->
FileInput (visible picker with a status line)
EvalsTab, ComboHeaderActions and MemoriesTab keep their hidden picker behind a
toolbar button (the pick imports at once, and a status line would break the
action row); their kit-exception now states that reason.
Refs #19066
Toggle maps size xs/sm to the kit Switch size="sm" and md/lg to the default,
and CatalogKeyAccessButton passes size="sm" to its kit Switch. The kit (0.0.89)
already stretches the native input over the control for every size and dims a
bare disabled switch, so the OmniRoute .ci-switch--compact rules, the "Kit
Switch hit target" block in globals.css and the opacity-50 workarounds go.
The kit sm track is 33x18px (the old compact one was 36x20px).
Refs #19066
The six common.fileInput*/fileDrop* keys the FileInput adapter added reached
only en, pt-BR and vi, so the new-key coverage and key completeness gates
(i18n UI Coverage) would fail. Translated with scripts/i18n/translate-new-keys.sh
for the other 64 locales and inserted next to the English position, without
the key reordering a full sync applies; no other key changes.
Refs #19066
…n, Badge tones and NativeSelect
Removes the local .ci-button--warning, .ci-badge[data-tone] and
.ci-select-native rules from globals.css. Native Select callers keep their
size through nativeSize, and the Pool schedule rows move to the kit xs height.
Refs #19066
… AlertDialog and Command
ConfirmModal is now the kit AlertDialog: role="alertdialog", focus starts on
Cancel, an outside click does nothing and there is no close button. The action
always calls preventDefault, so callers keep closing through isOpen and a failed
confirmation stays open. An async onConfirm holds the action in loading and
disables Cancel until it settles. useConfirmDialog and its callers are unchanged.
CommandPalette drops its hand-built rows, the document keydown listener, the
focus timer, selectedIndex and filtered for the kit Command. The clear button
puts focus back in the input, since it unmounts with the query and the arrows
now only work from there.
Tests that located a confirmation by role="dialog" now look for alertdialog.
The Spinner adapter in Loading.tsx now wraps the kit Spinner and gains an
xs step and a decorative mode. Spun Lucide icons across the dashboard move
to it: decorative in buttons and next to a status text, whose wrapper gets
role="status", and labelled where the spinner stands alone.
…brand tints
Charts: recharts users take tooltip, grid and axes from the kit chartTheme.
The cost trend and traffic latency lines move to the kit LineChart; provider
utilization (fixed 0-100 domain, joined gaps) and the burn rate projection
(dashed, no Y axis) stay on recharts.
Heatmaps: both activity calendars share ActivityCalendar over the kit
CalendarHeatmap, and the saliency map reads the diverging scale tokens instead
of a red/green rgba() ramp. The orchestration history grid is categorical by
run state, so it keeps its state colours.
Brand: partner banners, the Kimi preset card and the sponsor provider cards
pass brandColor to the kit Card, and chips use brandTintVars with ci-brand-tint.
src/shared/utils/brandTint.ts is gone. Inside a tint, text-text-muted now
follows the kit's brand ink through a one-rule bridge in globals.css.
… log tokens
JSON trees (Traffic Inspector and the request log detail) now render on the
kit JsonTree through one i18n adapter, replacing the hand-written JsonNode and
react18-json-view. The Request Body mask moves to the tree's redact hook, which
also covers copies and secrets hidden behind a JSON escape; keys are still
masked before the tree sees them, since a redacted node keeps its key.
ColumnToggle wraps DataTableColumnsMenu with the same props, so the callers
keep their localStorage persistence.
ConsoleLogViewer paints on --ci-log-* and --ci-color-surface-inverse with no
hex left, and applies a single tint: error and fatal tint the row, every other
level tints its badge.

Summary
Tests and style checks tests/unit/*, tests/e2e/*, tests/homolog/*
Tests update dialog roles and spinner selectors and add coverage for kit charts, calendars, command search, JSON tree behavior, brand tints, and column visibility. Style checks update their kit-adoption assertions.
Global style cleanup src/app/globals.css, src/shared/components/ConsoleLogViewer.tsx
Global CSS removes local warning-button, badge-tone, native-select, and JSON-view rules. The console log viewer uses log-level tokens instead of hard-coded colors.
The UI kit adoption is broadly sound. Regenerate the route namespace map so the header shortcut label resolves and the freshness test passes. Also handle rejected confirmation promises before merge. The masked-key collision is a narrow edge case.
Security architecture risk: Low · up to 6c65a
The inspected changes preserve explicit confirmation and strengthen masking of parsed request bodies, including copied nested values. No introduced security bypass was established. Risk remains low rather than minimal because end-to-end access controls and all affected consumer lifecycles were not fully verified.
Retained concerns
No architecture-level concerns identified.
Security review details
Security Blast Radius
inferred — The inspected sensitive outcomes are request-body disclosure in the viewing browser and clipboard, plus confirmation-gated operations delegated to application callbacks. These UI components do not establish server privileges or tenant isolation; deployment-wide and cross-tenant exposure remains unverified.
Security Findings and Attack Paths
inferred — No introduced masking bypass was established along the inspected request-body-to-DOM or request-body-to-clipboard paths. Source supports recursive copy redaction and text rendering rather than HTML interpretation. Regression tests assert escaped-secret masking and redaction of copied collapsed descendants, but were not executed in this review.
Trust Boundaries and Controls
observed — The confirmation hook resolves true only through the confirm callback. Cancellation resolves false, a superseding request resolves the previous request false, and unmount settles any pending request false. Dismissal is therefore not an alternate authorization path for hook-guarded actions.
Resilience and Maintainability Implications
observed — During a returned confirmation Promise, the mounted adapter combines internal busy state with caller loading state and disables action and cancel buttons. Completion releases internal busy state, while Escape still delegates closure to the caller. This is UI serialization, not durable cancellation or operation ownership across remounts.
observed — JsonTree versions asynchronous copy completions and invalidates them on unmount, suppressing stale completion status and callbacks. Clipboard failures become an error state, and fallback temporary DOM is cleaned up. These controls do not cancel a clipboard write already initiated.

Full details: Description check
Explanation
The description follows the template's main sections: Summary, Related Issues, Target Branch, Validation, Tests Added Or Updated, Coverage Notes, and Reviewer Notes. The Summary and Tests sections are detailed. Related Issues, Target Branch, and Coverage Notes are missing or thin. The Related Issues section gives no closes or related issue number, although #19066 is mentioned in the text. The Target Branch checklist is absent. The Coverage Notes section, which is needed when src/ changes, is not addressed, and the Reviewer Notes section is absent. The description is mostly complete, so the check passes.
Resolution
Consider adding the following before merge: a Related Issues entry (for example, Related to #19066 and a Related to #19137 stack note), the Target Branch checklist items, a Coverage Notes section that states which tests cover the changed src/ files and whether coverage moved, and a Reviewer Notes section that lists the stacking on #19137 and the inherited base-red #18791.

doSend appends an empty assistant message before the loading state renders. The last message is therefore not a user message, so this guard prevents the new spinner and status from appearing during a normal request. Render the status while the assistant response is pending instead.

Consider filtering accessible-name props from decorative spinners.
The public Spinner API permits decorative with aria-label or aria-labelledby. The kit would then render role="status" instead of its hidden decorative state. No current caller uses this combination, so this is defensive contract hardening. Remove those props before forwarding them in the decorative branch.

Preserve distinct keys after masking.
If a body contains {"sk-first": 1, "sk-second": 2}, both keys become "••••". Object.fromEntries then drops the first field. The masked tree and its copied ancestor omit that field. Give masked keys distinct, non-sensitive names, and test a collision between masked keys. The kit copies the value it receives, so its copy path cannot restore the lost field. Update the dashboard translation namespace map.

Handle rejection of an async onConfirm. Today it becomes an unhandled promise rejection.
result.finally(...) creates a new promise. If onConfirm rejects, that new promise also rejects, and void leaves it with no handler. confirming is reset correctly, but every rejecting onConfirm raises an unhandledrejection event.
tests/unit/ui/adapters/modal.test.tsx (lines 302-314) hides this with a process.once("unhandledRejection", swallow) hook. That hook does not suppress a test runner's own rejection handler.
The contract in the code comment says some callers keep the dialog open when the work fails. The caller owns error reporting. The adapter only needs to reset its busy state.
After this change, remove the unhandledRejection hook from the rejection test.

Unmount the remounted logger.
renderLogger returns a React root, but this test discards it. ProxyLogger clears its three-second polling interval only on unmount, so the interval can continue into later tests after the fetch mock is restored. Save the root and unmount it inside act before removing the container. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Review comment at @tests/unit/proxy-logger-observed-fields.test.tsx at line 167:
Save the React root returned by renderLogger(remounted), then unmount it inside
act before removing the container so ProxyLogger’s polling interval is cleared
before the test ends.

The ⌘ key label pulled cloudAgents into every dashboard route. The key now
shows without it, as it did before the Kbd move. Also retries the tmp cleanup
in the Codex reasoning test, which failed with ENOTEMPTY on two CI runs.
