Four PRs merged into this release line without a changelog entry. Found by comparing what the [3.8.55] section and changelog.d/ cover against what is actually merged:

Merged Had an entry
#44 #45 #46 #47 #48 #50 #51 #52 #55 #57 #58 #59 in CHANGELOG.md
#60 #63 as fragments
#53 #54 #62 #64 no

Written as changelog.d/ fragments rather than a CHANGELOG.md edit, which is this repo's stated convention — and for a reason that proved itself today: a plain merge from a stale branch recorded that branch's older CHANGELOG.md and dropped eight sibling bullets, and only check:changelog-integrity noticed.

Each entry says what was wrong and what changed. The two worth reading:

#53 gets two, one under Features for the live latency budget and one under Maintenance for the decomposition, since it is genuinely both.

Gate Result
check:changelog-integrity OK — no base bullets lost
check:doc-links PASS
prettier --check on the five new fragments clean

Not touched: changelog.d/fixes/60-cli-base-url-suffix.md is not prettier-clean, but it arrived that way with #60 and reformatting someone else's merged fragment does not belong in this PR.

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

#53, #54, #62 and #64 merged without a changelog entry. Written as
`changelog.d/` fragments, which is this repo's convention precisely
because a PR editing CHANGELOG.md during the cycle causes the
"CHANGELOG-eat" cascade — one happened today on a stale branch and
dropped eight sibling bullets before the integrity gate caught it.

Each says what was wrong and what changed, not just the subject line.
The two worth reading are #62, where a duplicated endpoint had been
silently disabling the contract gate on every PR, and #54, where the
MCP client could not talk to an MCP server at all.

[changelog-integrity] OK [doc-links] PASS prettier clean
