I was about to say there is an issue with French... because I don't see the same thing in Astro Docs and Starlight:

I don't know why we are redefining some translated strings in Starlight:

I guess this is "legacy" stuff, and it's safe to remove now. I don't know for the other translations but I think we can safely delete those for French.

Ah, yeah these maybe pre-date the included strings in Starlight. Expressive Code is a bit of a confusing one because it has built-in locales (English and German), Starlight adds some more, and then they can also be provided here 😄

If there are any in the docs repo that are not yet upstreamed to Starlight we should do that!
