I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Population Health Sciences and the Department of Biostatistics and Medical Informatics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Previously, I was a Schmidt AI in Science Postdoctoral Fellow working at the University of Toronto. I obtained my PhD degree in Quantitative Life Sciences from McGill University (2022), and my BSc degree in Biological Sciences from Fudan University (2018). I was a Senior Research Scientist at 5 Prime Sciences Inc (2022-2023).
My research focuses on developing and implementing rigorous statistical genetics and genetic epidemiology methods to improve the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of complex diseases, and translating research findings into new medical care approaches and therapies. I strive to conduct research from which all members of society can benefit.
I particularly enjoy working with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds. Hundreds of collaborators, including but not limited to medical doctors, statisticians, epidemiologists, biologists, and informaticians have made indispensable contributions to my works.
