A tiny script that records a region of your screen and outputs it to a .gif file.
- Copy the
gifcast
file in your $PATH; - ????
- Profit!
- Run
gifcast
in a terminal window. - You'll be prompted to select an area of your screen. After selecting, the area inside your selection is being recorded
- To stop, open the terminal window you started the script from and press
q
. - The gif file should be in
~/Videos/gifcast_%DATE%.gif
.
In case you need it, there is a temp .avi copy of the recording - /tmp/outXXXXXXXXXX.avi
