I have a few entries in a database that return as:
* `{'id': 'h%7CBV', 'type': 'date', 'date': None}`
* `{'id': 'qchQ', 'type': 'number', 'number': None}`
* `{'id': 'tBzM', 'type': 'select', 'select': None}`
There might be more instances that need to be optional as well.
