I tried to run the fasta-to-fromfile.py (https://github.com/sourmash-bio/database-examples/blob/main/fasta-to-fromfile.py) to build a custom reference database, but I encountered an error since it requires the "kiln" Anaconda module. I was told by the IT department where I work that Anaconda is no longer free for organizations of our size and thus we cannot use it. We can only use open-source channels, such as conda-forge and bioconda. Do you have any recommendations on how to work around this issue so that I can still build a custom reference database? Thanks!

hah, I spent some time trying to track this down, and turns out we just used the name kiln for an internal python library here,

https://github.com/sourmash-bio/database-examples/blob/main/kiln.py

no idea why we chose that name. I was probably trying to be clever.

But it should be enough to simply copy that file into the same directory as fasta-to-fromfile.py. It's not an external package or anything.

Great! I will try that. Thanks!
