We are currently exporting our icons using the even-odd rule. We shouldn't do this. This is mostly about future-proofing as icons that don't use the non-zero rule are problematic on Android, but we should pay attention to this. Given how we export our icons anyways, this should mostly result in a slight reduction in size.
