Is the Nix derivation usable as an experimental way to just play around with the software ?

Another question is there any roadmap where we can see what is the current status of the software other than peering into commit logs ? Or reading the code ?

Sorry, no roadmap yet. To make this clear, it's very much a hobbyist project, and I can't give any timeframes. I don't believe I've set up sponsorship on this repo yet.

The Flake is there for me to use for development. I run NixOS, so it's more convenient. It's not suitable to be submitted to Nixpkgs.

I'm currently trying to figure out semantics, and experimenting with different security models.

Good luck with figuring out, what isn't clear yet, I might try and test the flake at some point in the future, just to give it a try

No worries. I might setup a IRC/Matrix channel for the project soon. I've had brief discussions with 1Password engineers, but not much from Bitwarden.
