fix(web): undo notice moves to the sidebar footer so it never covers a thread - #26874
The "⌘Z to undo" notice sits on top of the bottom thread for 5 seconds after you settle, snooze, or archive. If you work up the list from the bottom, it hides the next thread you want to click. The old footer version (#25270 replaced it) pushed the whole list up instead. So the notice must not cover a row, and it must not move the list.
Before
After
The notice now uses the empty space to the right of the Settings / Pull requests / Usage icons in the sidebar footer. That row is always there, so nothing moves and nothing is covered. The notice has one place in every state, so the shelf-header host and the search/empty-list footer fallback are both gone.
The visible text is short so it fits at the 256px minimum width: "Settled, ⌘Z to undo" or "Settled 2, ⌘Z to undo". Screen readers still hear the full "Settled 1 thread" sentence.
If the summary does not fit beside the undo button (for example, the desktop update button takes space), it drops to a hidden second line. You see only "⌘Z to undo", never a cut word.
The undo button sets the notice's minimum width. During an update-everything run, the capsule shrinks for 5 seconds instead of overlapping the button.
Fade, 5-second expiry, grouping, and the ⌘Z claim do not change. Mobile has its own toast and does not change.
This also fixes the same bug as #25917 and #25548. Both of those give the notice its own row, which pushes the shelves down 24px on a full list.
Proof: dev web app with real data at a 256px sidebar. Settling the bottom thread leaves the next thread fully visible and puts the notice in the footer. Two quick settles show "Settled 2", and one undo restores both. The notice unmounts after expiry. I measured the desktop update button and update capsule cases in the DOM with injected items of the same size: no overlap, and the keyboard focus ring stays visible. vp run check:changed passes. A real Electron capture was not possible on this headless box, because the window does not repaint there.

Round 1 was the design round, so it has no scores. All three reviewers picked a footer placement.

Macroscope's review found this PR approvable — The undo notice moves into the sidebar footer so it no longer overlays thread rows. The change is presentation-only and preserves existing undo behavior and screen-reader announcements.
You can add or adjust custom eligibility rules. Learn more.
The sidebar undo notice moves from section headers and the footer to the utility menu. Its visible summary and layout change, and the summary helper is no longer exported.
The notice builds its visible summary from the action and count. It renders the undo button before the summary in a wrapping menu item. The summary helper is now module-private.
Move notice to utility menu apps/web/src/components/sidebar/SidebarChrome.tsx, apps/web/src/components/Sidebar.tsx, apps/web/src/components/sidebar/SidebarListMarkers.tsx
The utility menu renders the notice. The footer and section headers no longer accept or render it.
The undo notice now sits beside the footer icons. Its keyboard focus outline is partly clipped, which is a small accessibility regression. The notice is transient and ⌘Z still works, so this is mergeable with a small follow-up.

Sync 1029b: 12 upstream commits to d7935f1 (v0.1.4). Upstream's
sidebar footer undo notice (pingdotgg#26874) replaces the fork's grouped-mode
placement; the fork hold capability sits beside threadProjectFromScratch.
Upstream's pre-commit hook now runs knip, so 14 fork exports used only
in their own file lose `export` and the dead isAttachedWorktreeMissingError
goes.

T4 moves on to T3 Code v0.1.5 (25 commits on v0.1.4, no migration
changes). Conflicts were small: the fork keeps its account failover and
thread icon capabilities next to upstream's Turn into project, its
Dismiss, icon and topic actions in the thread menu, and its header
action slot on sidebar shelves, while the undo notice moves to the
sidebar footer as upstream has it (pingdotgg#26874). cliRelease.ts keeps the
fork's release repository.
