fix(mobile): provider accounts fit each provider on one row - #25861
Mobile Settings → Provider accounts gives every provider a tall block: a title, a status sentence, then a full-width "Sign in" row (or separate "Change account" and "Sign out" rows). Each provider takes about a third of the phone screen, and most of each row is empty space to the right of the text. With three environments the page is several screens long.
The rows also give no reason when Sign in can't work. A provider that is turned off or not installed still shows "Connect this provider." above a dimmed Sign in row, so the page looks broken.
Repro: on mobile, open Settings → Provider accounts for an environment where Cursor, Antigravity, or an ACP provider is turned off or not installed.
Change
Each provider is now one row. The name and status are on the left, and one control sits at the trailing edge:
Sign in (primary pill). When the provider offers several sign-in methods, the pill opens a menu to choose one, replacing the old inline list of method rows and its Cancel row.
⋯ menu once signed in, with Change account and Sign out. Sign out still asks for confirmation. Tapping the summary still reveals the masked email, which now shows on the status line ("Signed in · ••••••@••••••").
Cancel during an active sign-in, or Docs for providers that need setup outside the app. Sign-in details (device code, terminal output, credential fields, callback URL, errors, and "Open sign-in page") still appear below the row while a sign-in is in progress.
Status explains a missing action. A provider that is turned off says "Turned off", and one that is not installed says "Not installed". Neither shows a dead Sign in control. "Turned off" comes before any account or setup status, because a turned-off provider can't be used whatever its saved account, and the server doesn't probe a disabled provider's install.
At large accessibility text sizes (fontScale >= 1.5, the same threshold ListRowLayout uses), the control moves under the text instead of squeezing the status into a narrow column. Each summary is one accessibility element, labelled with the provider name and status, plus the email only when revealed.
This is one file: apps/mobile/src/features/settings/SettingsProviderAccountsRouteScreen.tsx. It uses the existing ControlPill, Menu, and AppActivityIndicator components. No contracts, server code, or auth logic change. The commands invoked are the same as before.
Scope and approval
This is a focused fix to one mobile settings page whose layout wastes most of the screen and shows controls that cannot work, with no reason given. It keeps every existing action and the same server calls. The only new behaviour is hiding Sign in for providers that are turned off or not installed, where it was already disabled. Web and desktop Settings are unchanged. No issue or discussion exists for it. If moving Change account and Sign out into a menu is a direction maintainers would rather not take, those two items can go back to inline rows without affecting the rest.
Verification
iOS Simulator (iPhone 17 Pro, iOS 27.0, dark appearance), T3 Code Dev client on Metro, against an isolated dev server with its own .t3 state. The base captures use origin/main's version of the file (0712398) in the same running app and session. The after captures are from 961c2b6 (real state) and b1dc15e (simulated states). The current head, 961c2b6, changes status only for turned-off providers, which the simulated states aren't, and adds an accessibility label.
Real provider state. On this dev server, Cursor and Antigravity are both turned off, the same situation as the report. The base shows two dimmed Sign in rows with "Connect this provider."
Still-state comparison (two real captures, alternating):
Signed-in and ready-to-sign-in states (simulated). Neither provider can be installed and signed in on this dev host. These captures add a temporary, uncommitted override that marks both providers installed and enabled and Cursor as signed in. The same override was applied to the base file and to this branch. Antigravity's message is a real failed sign-in attempt from the server.
Account menu (simulated state, real recording). Tapping ⋯ opens Change account and Sign out. Sign out shows the existing confirmation, and Cancel keeps the session.
After (candidate b1dc15e), simulated signed-in state:
After, Dynamic Type "accessibility large" (simulated state). The controls stack under the text. This capture is from 882fba4; the later commit changes only accessibility labels and menu guards, not layout.
Also checked on the simulator:
Tapping Sign in sent a real start-sign-in request. The server's failure message appeared in the status line, and Sign in stayed available to retry.
The email reveal toggles.
The accessibility tree reads the summaries as "Cursor, Signed in" (with email) and "Cursor, Turned off" (without), the menu as "Cursor account options", and the pill as "Sign in to Antigravity".
vp run check:changed: format, lint, knip, and typecheck (apps/mobile, scripts) pass.
No test added. This is a layout change, and the captures are the proof.
Android TalkBack (traced in source, not run): the ⋯ and multi-method Sign in menus use the same Menu + ControlPill trigger as the browser tab menu. Menu.android doesn't pass the trigger's accessibility label to the wrapper that opens it, so TalkBack may not open these menus. That is existing shared-component behaviour, left for a separate fix.
Not run on Android or iPad. Android uses the same ControlPill and AndroidAnchoredMenu paths as other settings and browser menus. The device-code, terminal, and credential flows keep their existing markup below the row but were not exercised end to end.
Independent review: GPT-6.1 Sol (Codex, high reasoning) reviewed 882fba4 and raised two issues.
On iOS, a disabled Change account submenu still let you pick a method. Fixed: the menu items are disabled and the handler refuses to start a sign-in while sign-in is disabled.
The summary button's VoiceOver label hid the provider name. Fixed: the label now includes the name and status.
A second Sol pass on b1dc15e found no remaining issues. CodeRabbit then raised two more points, both fixed in 961c2b6: a turned-off provider could still read "Signed in" or point you to the docs, and a summary without an email wasn't one accessibility element. A third Sol pass confirmed both fixes.
Built with Claude Opus 5.5 in Claude Code (T3 Code), reviewed by GPT-6.1 Sol via Codex.
Each provider is now a single row with its status and a trailing action.
Change account and Sign out move into a menu, and providers that are not
installed or are turned off say so instead of showing a dead Sign in.

Macroscope's review found this PR requires human approval — This focused mobile redesign preserves the existing provider-auth commands but changes how sign-in, account switching, sign-out, provider availability, and account details are exposed and gated. Because those are authentication-related runtime controls, the change warrants human review.

Walkthrough
The provider-account settings screen filters eligible providers and displays their status, masked email, and account controls. It uses menus for sign-in methods and account actions. Existing authentication interactions and sign-out confirmation remain available.
