feat(web): sidebar cards show PR numbers in place of the branch name - #24843
Sidebar cards showed the branch name and the PR number side by side. When a thread has a PR, the branch name only repeats it, and it used most of the line. Threads with several PRs showed only a count, so you could not see which PRs they were.
Now the PR takes the branch's place on the card:
One PR keeps the existing badge.
Several PRs show the overall state icon, then up to 2 numbers, open ones first and then the most recently updated. Then +N for the rest, which opens the PR list. Like the single badge, color stays on the icon and the numbers use the secondary label color. Number clicks follow the "open PRs in the right panel" setting.
Cards without a PR still show the branch.
The small worktree folder icon is gone from cards, because most agent threads run in a worktree. The hover card's branch row shows a folder icon instead.
Compact settled rows, the thread header, and mobile are unchanged.
Before
After
Hover card (worktree thread):
Proof: checked in a dev server with seeded real threads (single, merged, closed, and multi-PR threads; +N opens the PR list), plus vp run check:changed and a focused test for the PR order.

Macroscope's review found this PR requires human approval — Sidebar cards now prioritize PR numbers over branch names, while retaining branch details on hover. Human review is needed to confirm this change to the default card presentation and its branch-visibility tradeoff.

Walkthrough
The change adds shared ordering for pull-request links and compact pull-request number controls. Sidebar thread rows use these controls and update pull-request opening behavior, badge placement, and the tooltip icon.

Summary
Order pull-request links packages/shared/src/threadPullRequests.ts, packages/client-runtime/src/threadPullRequests.ts, packages/client-runtime/src/threadPullRequests.test.ts
The shared helper excludes stack-dismissed links, puts open links first, and sorts each group by update time. The client runtime re-exports the helper, and a test checks the ordering.
The new control displays up to two pull-request numbers and a count control for remaining links. Its labels include available status and title.
Integrate pull-request controls into sidebar rows apps/web/src/components/sidebar/SidebarThreadRow.tsx
Stacked or multiple pull requests use the compact control in the branch slot. Pull-request opening uses the updated handler. The tooltip uses a folder icon when a worktree path exists and a branch icon otherwise.
No actionable merge-blocking issue remains. The PR-number display and worktree tooltip are ready for normal merge checks.

Full details: Description check
Explanation
The description explains the problem (branch name repeats the PR number and takes most of the line; multi-PR threads show only a count) and the change (PR numbers replace the branch on cards, with ordering, +N overflow, and a worktree icon move). It includes a before/after table, a hover card image, and a proof section listing a dev-server check, vp run check:changed, and a focused PR-order test. Gaps against the template: the Scope and approval section is missing. It names no linked issue or maintainer-approved discussion, and it does not explain why the change qualifies without one. It also relies on an internal council review, which does not meet the approval requirement. The Verification section gives no observed results beyond 'checked' and 'passing', and it does not state what was not checked. The title is missing from the description body, and the conventional commit title format is not evident in the provided text.
Resolution
Add a Scope and approval section. Link the triaged issue or the maintainer discussion that approves the direction, including the approval comment. If no issue exists, explain why this change qualifies as a small, focused fix of an obvious bug or as focused configuration of an existing capability. The change alters sidebar card behavior and removes the card worktree icon, so it needs explicit maintainer approval of scope. 2) In Verification, report the observed results for the changed behavior. For example, state what the seeded dev-server check showed for multi-PR ordering and +N behavior, and the result of the focused test and vp run check:changed. State anything not checked, such as mobile or compact settled rows. 3) Confirm the PR title follows the conventional commit format in plain language. 4) Keep the screenshots, which already serve as the before/after evidence.
