E.J. Dick and John Field enlightened me on how sampling is done in California, where line items and species compositions are used. The current expansion method needs to be changed to match this, where right now we are expanding based on the line item and CalCOM expands based on 6 strata even if information for the line item is known. More details to come.

Part of the larger issues of matching CalCOM expanded comps. Need to work with E.J. on this.

  • read CalCOM documentation provided by E.J.
  • decide if ability to exactly match methods should be provided
  • code what is needed
  • increase documentation on what is done regarding California compositions for expansion within {PacFIN.Utilities}
