In this PR I present a document that gives a brief overview of all messaging mechanisms we have in polkadot. Basically, I hope to link that doc here.

(Can recommend this tool for previewing graphviz)

Sorry, I missed this PR until now. Does it need updates or does it get superseded by one of the new ones?

Yep, I think it would need some updates. The plan is the same though: to link it to the preamble of the Router doc
