refactor(s3_key): owner segment is a principal string; consistent encoding - #6768

Document keys are `{owner}/{document_id}/{version}` and were recomputed from
`Document.owner` at every read, write, copy and delete, with reads
percent-encoding the owner and writes not. The `s3_key` builders now take
`&model_owner::Owner` and route the first segment through one `owner_segment`
helper that stores the principal verbatim (`macro|<email>`, `bot|<uuid>`, or a
team UUID); `from_s3_key` uses the inverse. `DocumentKey::{Versioned,
ConvertedPdf}.user_id` is renamed `owner_segment`.
Percent-encoding moves out of the key and onto URL construction: a new
`document_key_url_path` encodes each segment where the CloudFront signed URL
is built (`documents::service`, storage-service `location.rs`) and in the S3
CopyObject source header, so user-owned keys and URLs are byte-identical to
before. Every builder call site passes an `Owner`; string-sourced owners
(delete-queue attribute, search extractor message, markdown backfill row,
DOCX staging key) are parsed at their adapter boundary. The storage-service
delete worker lists objects through a new `build_cloud_storage_bucket_document_prefix`.
Tests: an s3_key (user/bot/team) x (build/parse) matrix with byte-for-byte
golden assertions for today's user keys and URL paths, and documents-service
tests for the presigned URL path.

adapter boundary for callers receiving form-encoded keys, and add coverage for
an owner containing a literal %2B.

`DocumentKey::from_s3_key` percent-decoded the owner segment, so `to_key()` did not round-trip literal percent sequences. `%` is legal in an email local part, which made `macro|a%2bb@x` parse as a different owner than the one the key was built for. The parser now takes the segment verbatim, the exact inverse of `owner_segment`. Every consumer receives raw keys from EventBridge; the finalizer's classic-notification path already decodes the whole key at its inbound boundary. Adds coverage for an owner containing a literal `%2b` and for a form-encoded key staying encoded. Macro task: https://macro.com/app/task/01a0914f-1fde-7873-80ba-6eef315d3b50
Document keys are
{owner}/{document_id}/{version}and were rebuilt fromDocument.ownerat every read, write, copy and delete, with reads percent-encoding the owner and writes not. Thes3_keybuilders now take&model_owner::Ownerand route the first segment through oneowner_segmenthelper that stores the principal verbatim (macro|<email>,bot|<uuid>, or a team UUID);from_s3_keyuses the inverse and still tolerates form-encoded input from S3 notifications.DocumentKey::{Versioned, ConvertedPdf}.user_idis renamedowner_segment. Bot and team principals use a subset of the characters a user principal already uses, so no existing object moves.Percent-encoding leaves the key and lands where URLs are built. A new
document_key_url_pathencodes each/-segment at the CloudFront signed-URL construction indocuments::serviceand the storage service'slocation.rs, and in the S3 CopyObject source header in thes3_upload_urladapter (previously only the docx copy branch encoded; md and pdf sent raw, and S3 decodes both). For a user-owned document the object key and the URL path are byte-identical to before; the s3_key tests assert both.Every builder call site passes an
Owner. Where only a string exists it is parsed at the adapter boundary withOwner::from_principal_str: the delete-queueuser_idattribute (the worker now bails on a non-principal instead of listing a garbage prefix), the search extractor message'suser_id(wire name kept), the markdown backfill Postgres row, and docx_unzip's staging-key parser, whoseto_keynow uses the s3_key staging builder. The storage service delete worker lists objects through a newbuild_cloud_storage_bucket_document_prefix.crates/documentsdropsurlencoding;s3_keyanddocx_unzip_handlergainmodel_owner, andjust hakariupdated only thes3_keyanddynamodb_clientclosures (s3_keyis not in the wasm chain).Tested locally:
cargo testons3_key(user/bot/team × build/parse matrix with golden assertions),documentsservice tests (three new presigned-path tests),document_storage_service(typed delete mock),projectsupload,docx_unzip_handler;cargo check --tests --all-featuresand CI-flagcargo clippyon all touched packages;just check.convert_servicecould not be built locally (its LibreOffice bindings need libclang), so CI covers its two changed call sites.Macro task: https://macro.com/app/task/01a0914f-1fde-7873-80ba-6eef315d3b50
Note
High Risk
Changes how every document object key, presigned URL, S3 copy, and prefix delete is built; a mismatch would orphan stored objects or break downloads, though golden tests lock user key/URL compatibility.
Overview
Document S3 keys now take
model_owner::Ownereverywhere instead of ad-hoc owner strings. The first path segment is always the owner principal verbatim (macro|<email>,bot|<uuid>, or team UUID) via a singleowner_segmenthelper;DocumentKeyrenamesuser_id→owner_segment, andfrom_s3_keyno longer percent-decodes that segment (form-encoded keys stay a separate inbound concern, e.g. docx unzip).URL vs object key is split: stored keys stay raw; new
document_key_url_pathpercent-encodes each/segment for CloudFront signed URLs (documentsservice,document_storage_servicelocation.rs) and for S3CopyObjectcopy sources (s3_upload_url), replacing scatteredurlencoding::encode(owner)at call sites. User-owned keys and URL paths are golden-tested to stay byte-identical to legacy behavior.Call-site plumbing passes
&Ownerthrough upload, export, copy, delete, search indexing, convert backfill, and markdown backfill (Postgres rows parse principals). Delete listing usesbuild_cloud_storage_bucket_document_prefix; the delete-queueuser_idattribute is parsed as an owner principal.crates/documentsdrops directurlencoding;s3_keyanddocx_unzip_handleraddmodel_owner.Reviewed by Cursor Bugbot for commit 9320c6b.
