Configuring custom seek time intervals
Home > How To's > Playback > Configuring custom seek intervals
There are 2 sets of seek functions: primary and secondary, that are accessible through the Playback menu (and associated keyboard shortcuts).
For each of these, you can configure the time interval by which the player will seek forward / backward within the current track. By configuring both of these values, you can combine fine-grained (precise) seeking with more coarse-grained seeking for larger jumps within a track. This could be useful when listening to long tracks (eg. audiobooks).
1. Open the Preferences dialog from the menu Aural > Preferences or using its associated keyboard shortcut ⌘,
2. Open the Playback tab.
3. Adjust the controls for the "Seek length (primary)" and "Seek length (secondary)" fields, to set seek time intervals.
