Summary
Formatting now uses oxfmt instead of prettier. The
prettierdevDependency (and itsaube-lock.yamlentries) is gone; oxfmt is a mise-managed tool. What changes for contributors
oxfmtis a new tool inmise.tomlandmise.lock;mise installprovides it. Its pinned npm lock lives under.mise/locks/oxfmt/, whichmise.lockreferences.aubr format:writerunsoxfmt "**/*.ts"andaubr format:check(used byaubr lintand CI) runsoxfmt --check "**/*.ts". The file scope is the same as before..prettierrc.jsonand.prettierignoreare replaced by.oxfmtrc.json, produced withoxfmt --migrate=prettier: same options (single quotes, no semicolons, no trailing commas, arrowParens: avoid, 80 columns) and the same ignores (dist/,node_modules/,coverage/).sortPackageJsonis turned off sopackage.jsonkey order is left alone.CLAUDE.mddescribesaubr format:writeas oxfmt. To format by hand:
aubr format:write, oroxfmt "**/*.ts".Formatting differences
None: oxfmt leaves every existing
.tsfile unchanged with this config, so there is no reformat commit anddist/is identical (rebuilt withaubr package, no diff).ESLint has no prettier plugin or
eslint-config-prettier, so nothing there needed changing.Verification
aubr all(format, ESLint, tests, rollup package) passes and leavesdist/unchanged.aubr typecheckpasses.AI-assisted — Tool: Claude Code; model: anthropic/claude-sonnet-5-5; version: claude-code_2-1-295_agent.

Note
Low Risk
Tooling-only swap with no application or runtime code changes; main risk is contributors missing mise-installed oxfmt or subtle formatter differences despite equivalent config.
Overview
Code formatting moves from Prettier to oxfmt: the
prettierdevDependency and itsaube-lock.yamlentries are removed, and formatting is supplied by a mise-managedoxfmttool (mise.toml,mise.lock, plus a pinned npm lock under.mise/locks/oxfmt/0.73.0/).format:writeandformat:check(used bylintand the build pipeline) now runoxfmton**/*.tsinstead of Prettier..prettierignoreis dropped; ignores and migrated Prettier-style options live in.oxfmtrc.json(ignorePatternsfordist/,node_modules/,coverage/, andsortPackageJson: false). CLAUDE.md documents oxfmt foraubr format:write.Contributors need
mise install(or equivalent) to getoxfmt;aube installno longer installs a formatter.Reviewed by Cursor Bugbot for commit 22a7f15. Bugbot is set up for automated code reviews on this repo. Configure here.
