Summary

Adds the W2 RR-E Branch E worksheet for self-host, bootstrap-as-data, and DAG-source regeneration design. The PR is design-only: it does not add bootstrap substrate rows, TestClaim rows, a self-host implementation, a DAG regeneration executor, or any Rust-to-DAG decompilation path.

The worksheet records the E.3 crux: current gunbc compile --target dag output is not canonical .dag source. Branch E depends on Branch H's H.1 source-AST canonical serializer and consumes Branch C C.1-C.5 only as a downstream Shape-A scaling dependency after C.5 is green.

Review feedback addressed

  • Removed the prior DagRegenDesignOnly { sentinel: Symbol } substrate surface and the associated manual claim/test ratchet. The effective PR diff is now only the Class 1 worksheet, so the Symbol-sentinel modeling violation reported on the earlier commit is gone.

Test plan

  • git diff --check — passed.
  • No cargo tests run for the final correction; the effective diff is a docs-only planning worksheet.

Coordination

  • Branch H (swift-lark-66) confirmed serializer wording: canonical .dag serialization is over H.1 source AST and round-trips by normalized H.1 AST equality.
  • Cross-target Emission (silent-bear-54) confirmed C/D dependency wording: Branch E consumes C.5 green for Shape-A scaling, does not co-own 06_translate, does not expand 05_emit, and keeps RR-D Shape-B guarded/orthogonal.

Non-blocking — Strengths

  • docs/planning/v4-branch-e-self-host-bootstrap-dag-regen-rr-e-worksheet-2026-06-02.md The worksheet keeps canonical .dag source as the single authority, rejects JSON IR/emitted Rust as regen substitutes, and gates Branch E on H/C receipts.

ROADMAP — Verified

  • Self-host fixed point: The design preserves the pure-bootstrap fixed-point path by making source round-trip and bootstrap receipts prerequisites before hand-maintained Rust dissolution.

✅ No blocking concerns.

…re-emit acceptance shape) (#4368)

W4-prep design only. Names the bit-identical re-emit fixed-point acceptance
shape over the existing v4 four-stage bootstrap.dag plan and the declared
self_host.dag witness types (FixedPointEqual + BootstrapRoundtripEqual ->
PromotionWitness). No model redeclaration, no runner realization, no stage0
Rust dissolution. Enumerates the W4.7 gate chain (Rung 1 #4353 hard blocker,
T-15 B1 content_hash, candidate generation) and the forbidden gaming shapes
(placeholder-digest fixed point, stage0 Rust cementing, JSON-IR round-trip).

Follow-on to RR-E (#4288) and E.3 DAG-regen closure (#4302).
