Zero weights for masked padding rows before staging.
stage_routes writes -1 IDs for padding rows but leaves their output weight slots unchanged. When apply_topk_at_fc1 is false, the SM107 reduction reads those slots as scores. Invalid IDs zero the activation value, but the reduction still computes v * s or tl.fma(v, s, acc). A stale NaN or infinite score can therefore contaminate the output.
Capacity-tail slots are not consumed because reduction stops at the staged token count. With the current m_live, this change zeros both padding rows and the capacity tail:

The empty-input return ignores out.
When m == 0 or k == 0, the function returns fresh tensors before _nvfp4_outputs runs. As a result, out is never validated on that path, and the returned tensors are not views of the caller's buffers. This contradicts the documented out contract. On the empty path, validate out and return views of it.

…orm state (EP deadlock) The vendored PhaseInterleavedFc12Scheduler set fc1_exhausted in _wait_for_fc1_prologue_claims from a CTA-local peek of the global FC1 work-ID counter. Every CTA of a cluster runs the claim state machine itself and reads the leader's broadcast work ID against its own stream choice, so that state may only change on cluster-uniform inputs. The runtime FC1 stream can be shorter than the static FC1 watermark: DP dummy batches, adaptive-verification start-up profiling, or clusters that start late because a side-stream kernel holds SMs. Then two CTAs of one cluster can disagree on fc1_exhausted, map the next ID to different phases, and deadlock the EP group. One rank ends up 2 CTAs short of its tail grid sync while its peers wait in the NVLink drain barrier. The peek now only shortens the CTA's wait. FC1 exhaustion is learned from a claimed ID, like any other stream end, at the cost of at most one extra terminal FC1 claim per cluster. VENDOR.md records this as a FlashInfer-owned difference from the pinned 1667b47a export. Why: DSv4.1 serving runs phase-interleave at every capacity (every tuned NVFP4 EP4 knob-cache entry and the built-in heuristic select it) with the shared-expert MLP overlapped on a side stream. The workaround, the grouped schedule, is 1.20-1.47x slower per MoE layer at capacities 256-3072. Measured (EP4, VR200, DSv4.1 NVFP4 MoE layer): - without the fix, a vLLM boot hung during adaptive-verification profiling in a target-model layer (capacity 3072, 2280 tokens/rank); an EP4 kernel reproduction of that load (all padding but one route per rank, side-stream MLP, 148 SMs) hung after 4 and 9 graph replays; - with it, 0 hangs in 21.9 M EP4 stress launches (capacities 128-4096, identical, skewed and zero-route ranks, forced late clusters), and 3 of 3 vLLM boots with adaptive-verification profiling passed; - per-layer time fixed/unfixed is 0.999-1.001 at 1024-3072 tokens/rank. Gate: none. Active whenever schedule_policy is phase_interleave, for every quant kind. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
…uster grid
Sm107BlockScaledMoeConfig rejects max_sm_count together with a
fallback_cluster_shape_mn, because mixed-CGA occupancy is resolved from
the hardware probe. Every tuned and heuristic NVFP4 EP4 knob set names
fallback (2, 1), so any SM budget failed when the workspace was built.
make_workspace_config now drops the fallback cluster, giving a uniform
cluster launch, whenever a budget is set. The budget itself is passed
through unchanged (an int, as before). The helper is shared by the SM107
backends, so an MXFP8 workspace with a budget is launched uniformly too
instead of raising.
Why: a persistent megakernel on all SMs leaves nothing for a concurrent
side-stream workload. vLLM runs the DSv4 shared-expert MLP on a side stream
next to the MegaMoE; capping the megakernel lets both run at once.
Measured (VR200, DSv4.1 NVFP4 checkpoint):
- one MoE layer at EP4 with the shared-expert MLP on a side stream
(CUDA-graph replay, cold L2; budget points from one sweep run, serial
points from a 3-rep run):
- 1536 tokens/rank (capacity 2048): 263 us with 180 SMs vs 273 us with
all SMs, and 304 us with the shared expert run serially;
- 3072 tokens/rank (capacity 4096): 343 us with 148 SMs vs 365 us with
all SMs, and 380 us serially;
- per step (EP4 layer times, cold, summed over 21 layers x 2046 + 19
layers x 1260 tokens/rank; a later build of the original flashinfer-ai#6499 series,
which also had the staging and reduce commits now covered by flashinfer-ai#6398 and
flashinfer-ai#6447): 9.87 ms at 196 SMs, 9.93 ms at 180, 10.28 ms at 148;
- serving (4 GPUs, concurrency 1024) at 196 vs 180 SMs: +1.0 % TPS/GPU
and +0.7 % interactivity on the same node.
That later build also added the shared-expert output inside a deferred
top-k reduce, which this series does not have (bit-identical to a
separate add and within about 1 us per layer of it at 1260 and 2046
tokens/rank).
Gate: only when max_sm_count is set. The default None is unchanged.

…vided buffers (out=) Adds out=(fp4_out, sf_out) to nvfp4_quantize_cute_dsl, so callers can quantize straight into preallocated buffers such as a symmetric-memory workspace. With out=None the function allocates exactly as before. Given buffers are checked against the dtype, contiguity, device and size the selected kernel path writes; the returned tensors are views of them. The empty-input early return honours out= the same way. Why: a caller that stages into a workspace otherwise quantizes into temporaries and copies both planes. In the original flashinfer-ai#6499 series the SM107 MegaMoE NVFP4 staging used it to remove 2 DtoD copies (about 3 us) per MoE layer (VR200, EP4, 2304 tokens/rank). That staging is now covered by the fused staging of flashinfer-ai#6398, so this commit adds only the API. The quantizer kernels themselves are unchanged. Gate: none; an additive keyword. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
…h arguments The per-call NVFP4 epilogue scalars (fc1_alpha, fc2_alpha, fc1_norm_const) were copied into the workspace tensors on every call, which is 3 DtoD launches per MoE layer. Contiguous fp32 [E_local] tensors on the workspace device are now bound directly as launch arguments. Other values are still copied, and an omitted scalar still resets the workspace tensor to ones; the launch then uses the workspace tensor, so a pooled workspace never reuses a stale value. The bound pointers are part of the launch key (ahead of the stream), so a different binding re-binds the launch arguments on the host, without a recompile. Callers must keep the tensors alive while launches or captured graphs use them; the qualification guide states this. The offline autotuner and the sampled correctness oracle now read the bound tensors too. Otherwise they would time and check against unit scalars: the existing nvfp4 in-situ kernel-vs-reference test case fails with rel error 2.38 without this. Measured (VR200, EP4, 2304 tokens/rank, kineto): 3 copies removed, about 4 us per MoE layer in the graph; bound and copied scalars bit-identical (max abs diff 0.0 at capacity:rows 128:6 to 3072:2520, non-unit per-expert scalars). Per MoE layer at EP4 on the original flashinfer-ai#6499 series (which also had the staging and reduce commits now covered by flashinfer-ai#6398 and flashinfer-ai#6447), previous commit -> this commit (one DSv4.1 MoE layer with checkpoint weights and uniform random top-6 routes, shared-expert MLP overlapped under a 196-SM budget, CUDA-graph replay with cold L2, p50 of the slowest of the 4 ranks, median of 2 runs): 237.9 -> 231.1 us at 1260 tokens/rank (capacity 3072), 268.2 -> 261.2 us at 2046 (capacity 2048), -8.7 us at 2304 (capacity 3072) and -4.2 us at 4608 (capacity 6144); outputs bit-identical on all 4 ranks. Both arms also added the shared-expert output inside a deferred top-k reduce, which this series does not have (bit-identical to a separate add and within 4.5 us per layer of it at these sizes). Gate: none. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
