Deleting pad through API freezes etherpad #457
Comments
I'm unable to duplicate, using the Ruby client's rspec tests. Sure you've got the latest eplite rev? I'm seeing it as 9ca914f. |
Uh, no you are absolutely right. I'm not on the latest rev. I'm going to close this issue until I've straightened out my end. |

This upgrade solves the high-severity vulnerabilities regarding https-proxy-agent that were still present in 8e6bca4. I was trying to do a delete via the API, and the entire etherpad instance just stopped responding. The logs at INFO level show this:
[2012-02-16 13:27:07.702] [INFO] API - REQUEST, deletePad, {"apikey":"xxx","padID":"Mxx7E8P"}
[2012-02-16 13:27:07.728] [INFO] ueberDB - garbage collected 500 values
[2012-02-16 13:27:07.744] [INFO] ueberDB - garbage collected 244 values
and then nothing... forever. I cannot connect to the pad at all either and existing connections die.
I tried to strace the node process and all it was doing was the following over and over:
[pid 20332] gettimeofday({1329427918, 680985}, NULL) = 0
[pid 20332] gettimeofday({1329427918, 716272}, NULL) = 0

restarting etherpad-lite makes things work again, but again if I attempt to do an API delete, it tanks things :(
I'm at the latest git rev (7096ce7) using the most recent commit to the ruby library (671aba6a6666619dd7b1f090bfc11f1b37dea614)
